- Hello Everyone! I'm back at it again and this time checking out the fully loaded versions of these amazing American Trucks!!!! We'll be looking at the 2018 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab with LTZ Package & 2018 Ford F150 Lariat with FX4 Offroad package. I understand that the Chevy is not the Z71 version, but soon as we get a fully loaded Silverado with Z71 I'll film another review with that for y'all. For now this is what I have to work with so hopefully you will enjoy it:)

Can’t wait to go get my new Silverado or Sierra the day I move back home to florida. I should probably wait for 2019 models to come out and either get a ‘19 or a discounted ‘18.
Get the 19 if you want some updated stuff and a bigger bed.

My 2017 base model Sierra has led lighting under the bed rail. I'm sure the ltz has them too. My 17 lariat also has them visible like the 18 you are showing. On the ford the large telescoping mirrors and 18" wheels are part of the max tow package along with lower differential gearing. If you look at the dealership I am sure you can find one with smaller mirror and 20" wheels.
And My second question is I seen some Lariat that go 200 mph I’m wondering how does it go 200 mph ? cause I’m going for the 5.0 v8 with the lariat sport with the fx4 could the packages be why instead of the 120 mph
well I have seen a few F150's that have 200MPH on the dash, but I doubt they really go that fast. Most new vehicles in America will have a higher speed on the dash, but really only top out at 130 or so. hmm your question is a good one. This week when I'm back at the Ford dealership I'll make a special video for you. Hey Giovanni, thanks for sending me your comment on here and watching the video. Glad to hear your saving up to buy a F150 Lariat one day! As far as giving you a tip I'd say just make sure you get a great deal for your truck. I've told people before to use my video to help you get a deal. if you see a truck on my channel that is similar to what you want show the your Ford dealership in your city the pricing that we're offering and tell them you also want a good deal like this. Also make sure the truck you get has the options you want. Sometimes you'll get things on the truck you really don't want and end up paying alot more. Lastly as you can see on my channel here. Each week I film Used 2017's or sometimes 2018's. You can always buy a used truck with really low miles and save a bunch of money.

And the led light by the tailgate handle is just a courtesy light for when the door is open. It has nothing to do with the backup camera
well thanks for letting me know that. Wish I would of known sooner. I think I've done made like 10 more videos talking about that little LED light back there since I made this video lol. Now I know and knowing half the battle!
I work at a job where trucks get used 24/7, with numerous drivers & they take a beating. The big 4 Chevy, Dodge, Ford and Toyota are all good trucks. I must say if I had to choose Id take the Chevy or Toyota first. Although the others are good trucks too. In normal driving conditions get the one with the most rebates and markdowns. Just my two cents.
What's the weight rating on that step on the Ford?
400 pound person might be a little much, but I'm sure 300 will be just fine.

Ahh nothing better than coming home from an exam and watching some great videos on these trucks Chad. I used to be a Chevy guy but now I'm more equal, the new F-150 has been pulling me in. Only thing I don't like is the shifter on the console in the f-150 there is something weird in my brain that tells me I need a column shift in a truck. Lol
yeah it does feel a bit odd trying to grab the shifter on the column and it not being there. Feels more like a sports car on the Lariat. I think the lower trim levels have it on the column. Glad you enjoyed the video Luke.
I just bought one an xlt with most options imaginable and a classic column shifter. Although it's a 2017 so I dont know if they got rid of that in the 2018. Definitely weird to have a middle shifter or the knob the dodge had.
Just bought a 2018 and only wanted the console shifter. Likely because I prefer a manual shift and clutch. It's a good fit when using the 10 speed in manual shift mode. Manual mode on column feels like an old 3 on the tree from the 60's.

Sorry, overall, great comparison...just seems like you minimize the differences in available options...Panoramic Ford Vs Chevy Sun Roof. Step for the Tail gate...then you say the Engine in the Chevy is bigger..BUT the Ford makes more Horse Power and Torque, much more technologically advanced Engine and transmission.

The Ford is a tow mirror that is just an option. The Chevy could have a tow mirror as well. Not quotes apples to apples in that aspect
The chevy haves led bed lighting u just have to press the cargo button the LEDs are hidden under the rails of the bed not like Ford out in the open looking like a cheap add on

Thats ford 502a luxury package. Only that one comes with led lighting it's 7300$ at purchase. This can't be a honest comparison.
Centre shifter cnsole that every one who has it prefers it over columb shift, way more back space, rear air and rear heated seats...Jeez....not even close LOLOL
Not to be mean but there is multiple things wronge with this video... Such as the mirrors... The ford has the towing package which comes with the tow mirrors the chevy did not have the available tow package so thats not fair comparison... 2nd the bed lights yes the ford has them that it a option that the ford has but thats still a option on the chevy... The video was not a fair comparison you didn't even get both in 4x4?

My 2016 LTZ has a button for the bed lights right next to he traction control. It’s turns the lights on from in the van and they are in a similar place to the Fords...

Well Anthony I'm trying to not be biased to these vehicles because I've never owned either brand vehicle before, but for some reason I do seem to like the Ford's better. I think because the Fords just seem to have more features and options. I'm hoping that Chevy ups the game in 2019 with the new bodystyle Silverado.

LOLOL The Ford had a Panoramic Roof, huge extra, Step Box inlet, huge Extra, radar 360 deg System, huge advantage which takes care of front sensor....Just way more stuff not counting the 4x4...wow not even a close comparison...and I believe it was 3-4000.00 difference...way more advanced motor, transmission 8 Vs10 speed...not even close!!!!

Will Chevy engine make 500,000 miles. My BIL has F-150 with 620,000 miles without trany or engine repair; even body looks good. Only suspension and brakes were worked on and all these miles were towing miles. I usually see older Chevys full of rust on body and box
yes I've also seen older trucks with rust as well, but I don't know just yet what a new Chevy can do until a few years pass. They say they build these trucks to last longer now. I guess its going to take some time to tell.
Yeah 4x4 only comes into play when you ummm need 4 wheel drive....so for comparisons between models it makes no difference.....has no effect on interior, comfort, or differences between brands........its just 4 wheel drive instead of 2WD....everything else is same

These videos make it sound like its your first time ever seeing one of these trucks. misinformation, missing information and pure surprise to yourself about different features you find. You're doing a disservice to anyone looking for information.

Edgar, So would you say GMC & Chevrolet are two separate companies? General Motors is the Company, but I do believe your correct with Ram. I remember back in like 2012 they stopped putting the word Dodge with the RAM trucks and just named them RAM. I'd say the company is Mopar. right?
GMC and Chevy are both GM. GMC is considered a "higher class," more "luxurious" but i seem them the same with just a couple cosmetic differences. As for Ram and Dodge yes, they are defined as Mopar. I think but not exactly sure but I'm assuming politics had something to do with the separation of the two companies where they eliminated Dodge in Ram. Your Factually correct about the truck being a Dodge Ram but legally its only Ram.

If you've work on chevys you know how bad they are on blow by the intake puddles with oil inside.now that they changed it from port to direct injection they get a lot of carbon build up.ford made all there new engines port and fuel inject to avoid the carbon build up. Chevy is just repeating what VW is known for.
