Nice score Dezzy! I’m in SeaTac, my daily is a 69 nova 4sp with a fresh 383. Unless weather is really bad I just drive my dakota. But hey your vids are fun to watch, keep it up!
I agree with the previous comment. Wow! just getting to car was a workout. Always good to people to help out. My cousin owned 1967 Firebird, when he came back from Vietnam, he gotten married, with 1 & 1 on the way. He got out the Army, but buying the car & insurance was too much for 16 yr old kid. Nice find.
There's one of these in my town. Dad tried to buy it back in the 80s a bunch of times. The story is dad would always be ran off by a "crazy lady". Eventually dad's friend happened to move in next door. Dad goes there to party and the neighbors came over to the party. The lady's hubby mentions to dad.... the reason ol' lady would act psycho and run him off was because that Camaro was their kid's ride and he never returned from the war. They couldn't let it go. The car is still there. It's been covered forever, rusting forever, tarped, fenced in, and now there's a garage in front of it. Only the older car guys in town know about the car and apparently everyone has a similar story of trying to buy it. Cars become parts of our lives and with this one being so emotionally tied to their son in Vietnam... it's understandable. I've been trying to buy a 47 and 53 Cadillac for 20 years. The owner's wife still can't bring herself to let them go after his death. Some day maybe, but I can't hate on her. I just respect and let it be known I'm interested. Her heart is still in it.
She said there was a barn fire, so it looks like that fire took out the whole drivers side. More work than I could take on, but have no doubt you'll get around to it.
Welcome! I’ll click parts for this car as I go, but check out my 69 Caprice. It’s a factory 427 four speed car. th-cam.com/video/cKDAQGwPAmM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fM_Yzr1n2XTi-IPl
That's awesome dude. Ive been given a few cars in my lifetime, mostly clapped out parts cars. Never a first gen Camaro. Even if you parted her out, you could get a couple grand easy.
It's not everyday that a person can aquire a 67 Camero for free and it's not like parts would be hard to find for it...I'm pretty sure that most people would've had a stiff price tag for the car cause it's like the shape there in doesn't matter anymore when it comes to a firm crazy price tag on those particular cars. In my mind, I think you struck gold but most people don't see it that way but it's not everyday that you can get a free 67 Camero...I'd be happy with it, at least I think I would lol..
We’ve all made statements about not needing and not getting another car and the reasons why. But something always seems to come up! And that car was not free! Y’all earned that car getting it out of the bush and onto that trailer!
My dad was a VW fan. He had about 10 of them parked behind the house. They were ovals and one split. The problem was we only had a one car garage. So instead of selling a few VWs we tore down the one car garage and built a 10 car garage.
Kyle was clutch this time. I hope you bought that dude lunch or something. Feels like when I dug my 70 out from on top of a mountain but mine did not have anywhere near as much thorny bushes. Fun times. Sweet score, Dezzy! Shout out from Cali
