Mate the moment she was released from that soggy spot things started to work for you. Loving the never surrender attitude, and cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
Don’t apologise. Your videos are definitely not boring. I just wish that we could be there to help. No idea where you find the strength and motivation 💪💪💪🤙 Spain 🇪🇸
You’re 100% never boring. Thanks for providing such excellent content on such a regular basis. I have quite a busy life at the moment and knowing that there’s a new 5150mxVW video to watch at the end of the day is one of the things that keeps me going! Love your work, cheers form New Zealand 🇳🇿
Amazing job your doing..not only finding these ole girls but pulling them from their final resting place. Admire your drive and determination to not only rescue but save them. You're definitely a "rockstar"when it comes to these adventures. God speed my friend😎👨🔧🛠️🧰🔧
Dude, I have to admire your tenacity. How many months have you been working on this? I have never seen someone work this hard to retrieve a parts vehicle. You have my respect. This is the most difficult retrieval I have ever seen, for a variety of reasons. I can't believe you were able to do it by yourself with the tools you had available to you.
You're getting those new boots dirty. HAHA The phone telling you it isn't raining is a perfect example of real world experience versus technology. Trust your eyes and ears, use tech as an occasional tool.
Really enjoyed the clips, they're a good reminder to not park your bus in the woods for a couple of decades. Shout out to your boy, I think he's a real trooper helping out his dad.
I was lucky enough to pull a 23 window deluxe (same color) out of the woods up near Canada years ago. It had a small tree growing up through it and had become a home for the squirrels. It took two days to get it on a trailer. It had a ton of parts inside. One of the hardest things I’ve done, but super fun discovering everything! Good luck!
For this year and a fifteen window it's worth all to the work nice to see you switched over to busses ! There is no such word as impossible or normal !
The old abandoned house in the background always looks extremely ominous. Don’t ever go into the house. This rescue has been the most satisfying of all. I honestly didn’t think there would be anything left under the, “waterline” even attached. This was a huge triumph, you made us all proud. What a saga..!
I had a 1955 23 window, sun roof, push out windshields, 8 day clock when I got back from Viet Nam in 1969, same color combo. Brings back memories. It was super clean and I paid $500.00 cash for it.
I’m enjoying your videos from Adelaide South Australia. Our family had nine Kombi Vans , the oldest was 1963 but we didn’t import the 15 window version in Australia, so I’m loving what you’re doing to save this girl, awesome effort man!
You're welcome. I've rescued a lot of buses and beetles in my 57 years, and have sawzalled so many tires off the rims. The best way to cut them is to cut the side walls out around the bead, as close to the bead as possible without damaging the rim and blade. Don't try cutting across through the tread. Then, cut through the bead, or in your case, with all of the mud and water, just leave the bead flopping. I have found it much easier to move non-rollers in such conditions, without the petrified tires attached.
I’m with ya J. This property did not want to give her dead. Your perseverance is beyond belief. Way to hang in there and finally get that 15 home. WOW 😅 Now on the next one. 😁 Thanks J!!
We're with you every step of the way my friend, doing a awesome job, cannot wait till it's on the trailer, I can't imagine how much you can't ha. Well done
J, please don’t ever change. I love this series and you just crack me up. Best thing on TH-cam. Amazing rescue mostly solo. No one else is doing this. I hope you get this one on the road. Josh would be the coolest kid in school if he drove this puppy to HS. Just sayin.
Man you have the patience of a saint these old VWs despite the rust always beg to be rescued and this one is no exception but once renovation work starts it will be a labour of love and it will rise from the ashes well done and good luck from the UK...
I’ve seen some “we are here to get this car” videos but this series is truly something else. Keep going, you’re doing great, and in the end you have something that not that much people do. Great victory!
I love your effortsU and your sense of adventure...and your good fortune in your ability to find these /vW's. I haven't read your comments; but here's mine...so I can go out and work on my old /Westy. 1. ALWAYS TAKE SOMEONE WITH YOU just for safety., 2. Take a sledge hammer with you. 3. Take a COMEALONG WITH YOU! 4. GET THE BUS OFF THE GROUND. BUY NEW TIRES!! or get a 4WD vehicle. 5. GET A BUNCH OF LOGS FOR ROLLERS and then put down your planks. Sounds easy, but I KNOW IT WEREN'T EASY...Best of luck.
I think we know why there are so many abandoned vehicles on that property. They all got stuck and the owners walked away. Interesting old building. Have you entered it? 👍👍👍
Keep your head up brother you got this. I do wish you had more hands out there with ya. Appreciate your drive in getting it rescued. Keep going you are so close to having it on the back of your trailer.
You're a savage! LOVE that you are rescuing these buses and LOVE the series! Can you film the inside of the house after the 15 window is on the trailer?
I have noticed that when it comes to real work, other than dear Josh, all of your TH-cam buddies are no where to be seen. Keep it up! And like others have said… don’t apologize. I do like how you keep us involved, asking us questions! You are the Fred Rogers of TH-cam!
The struggle is real! It’s a lot of work and might drain you, but it makes good content. This rescue series has been great to follow. Especially the trouble shooting. The bus is finally out from the hole. That’s a milestone worth celebrating. If you plan to get the bus back on the sled. It might help to secure each wheel with straps to the sled. And save your body. Use your sledgehammer to hammer in the planks etc. It will be awesome to see the bus leave that wet and muddy place.
All I can say you have a lot of patience!! I said it once before when you unload this thing to someone who will spend a bit of time restoring it you make tons of $$$$$$$ You are amazing!!
Hell yeah Dude!! The Saga continues!! Maybe bring a Ouija board next time and see what's the spirits big problem is!! Haha can't wait to see it on the trailer!!
Dear 5150mxVW 👍👌👏 Well done. But good heavens, what an effort! At least you had a fire going this time. Please stay save, Sir. Best regards, luck and health in particular.
Man a guy just can’t catch a break! Love the video looking forward to next chapter of the day in the life of a man and his bus in the creek. Keep up the good work.
I have been looking forward to Buses in the Stream all weekend! You've come too far to give up! Your determination is more inspiring than you know. You have convinced me to rescue a '68 Westfalia. One owner Bus and 99% complete. I know. I know. Not as sought after as a split window, but nevertheless, it's still worth saving. I won't have a full documentary, but I'll try to let you know how it goes. Don't let the spirits win! That Bus is yours! Take care. I'll be anxiously waiting for the next episode.
Woooo Almost fell from the start 😳 It got dark fast!! One pump didn’t sound good 😂😂😂😂😂 Body tag is there!!! Yankees mug 😁 Never bored when I’m watching Tomorrow is another day!! Keep going you got this now!!!
You must really love VW as that one looked like a lot of back breaking work to dig that out of that soggy woods as it was sat to the floor in a swamp I'm amazed it didn't snap in half when you started pulling it out as your going to have alot of welding to do and I've been welding for 25 years and I wouldn't want to take it on myself
Love the saga! Cant believe how you spun it in the end with the winch! Amazing! Oh yea that man crawler is a POS!!! but who am i to tell you'll you been living like a cave man for days trying to get that bus out. No one else has the fortune to do that solo, props to you Jay!
keep going!!! look forward to finally seeing the spirits let it go from that place. Thank you for all the effort thus far. Sending strength from Vancouver BC Canada! ( we see a lot of rain here too!)
Mate the moment she was released from that soggy spot things started to work for you. Loving the never surrender attitude, and cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
thank you ! much appreciated Mate
Ready for the scrap heap 🎉🎉
Don’t apologise. Your videos are definitely not boring. I just wish that we could be there to help. No idea where you find the strength and motivation 💪💪💪🤙 Spain 🇪🇸
@@besenzon1 he should be on comedy show… wait this is the best comedy that keeps. Ring me back
Well I found it boring.
I agree far from boring
Motivation? Lol. World peace! One wheelbarrow full of gold at a time.
This series has been the most entertaining I have seen on TH-cam I guess whoever thank you in the hell with the spirits
thank you Larry !
Jason, this is the best man versus wilderness series I have seen. Really looking forward to the next installment. Cheers from Sydney Australia.
Thank you James , much appreciated
No one else would work that hard for a pile of VW Bus parts, all I can say is incredible!!!
Keep plugging Jay, you are almost there! Going to be cool to see it on the trailer going home.
J, your "stick with-it-ness" simply astounds me!!! You are the man!!! Almost there. 👍🏻
What guts, tenacity and sheer will power,I think most would have given up under those conditions, best of luck with the build.
Keep going. You are almost there. Tons of determination
thank you for the encouragement , much appreciated Mike
That is real progress. I think your dialogue with the spirits is a good index for how much you have suffered for this bus.
Amazing job your doing..not only finding these ole girls but pulling them from their final resting place. Admire your drive and determination to not only rescue but save them. You're definitely a "rockstar"when it comes to these adventures. God speed my friend😎👨🔧🛠️🧰🔧
Totally enjoying the series… you’re doing a great job.
A true American pioneer (Never Give Up and Never Surrender)
I like the fact, that the van can now be used for parts. Also, you helped clean up the property.
Thumbs up to a man who never gives up a battle to the end will turn into awesome win. God bless.
You're getting those new boots dirty. HAHA
The phone telling you it isn't raining is a perfect example of real world experience versus technology. Trust your eyes and ears, use tech as an occasional tool.
Watching this makes me feel good about my 5 hour front brake job yesterday. You are definitely determined!
I'm enjoying the Quagmire Diaries so far. Your persistence is...admirable.
Great to hear , thank you
So looking forward to this episode...All the way from the UK ...full of admiration .....well done both of you ! top work
thank you Alan for the kind words
Really enjoyed the clips, they're a good reminder to not park your bus in the woods for a couple of decades. Shout out to your boy, I think he's a real trooper helping out his dad.
Nearly 6 decades …thank you

You bring a whole new meaning to paying for what you want. 😢. I believe the word is tenacious.
AGAIN, I really thought you had it this time! You're doing great, Jay!
Way to show your passion!
thank you Joe, I think i was wanting to spend friday there as it was going to be sunny and warm
For this year and a fifteen window it's worth all to the work nice to see you switched over to busses ! There is no such word as impossible or normal !
My God, that last scene, the crunching!! Damn you, Backstreet Boys!!
You have made the definitive video of how difficult it is to get a decaying van out of a stream. You should take pride in that.
Wow! that winching worked perfectly! You're almost there!
I've been a slow learner with the winch game but I'm finally using a snatch block I bought years ago lol.....thank you Brian
Just found it entertained, had one on my property, junked it for storage. Didnt have rear corner windows but old with big emblem in front.
The old abandoned house in the background always looks extremely ominous. Don’t ever go into the house. This rescue has been the most satisfying of all. I honestly didn’t think there would be anything left under the, “waterline” even attached. This was a huge triumph, you made us all proud. What a saga..!
This is serious old New England frontier. I’d love to be there, New Hampshire is beautiful. All of America has beauty like this. Left behind
My back is aching just watching!
almost streched my back watching that plank slide
PERSEVERANCE the word of the day !
I had a 1955 23 window, sun roof, push out windshields, 8 day clock when I got back from Viet Nam in 1969, same color combo. Brings back memories. It was super clean and I paid $500.00 cash for it.
Been sweating all the time i watched the video. you are something else. God bless
Thank you Sal, you as well
The wife and I enjoy watching you save these VWs. It's been a battle.
Your tenacity is of the charts! Wonder what Larry will think of this bus???
I thought you took the emblem home last time? Sure looks cool. With that hat you could sing the YMCA song while getting the bus out of the mud pit😂
Not bored at all, amazed at your tenacity!
I’m enjoying your videos from Adelaide South Australia. Our family had nine Kombi Vans , the oldest was 1963 but we didn’t import the 15 window version in Australia, so I’m loving what you’re doing to save this girl, awesome effort man!
Hi Gary , much appreciated
The front of the van reminds me of a rescued dog from the shelter! Wow ! You cared for me enough not to leave me!
Sawzall the tires off and it'll slide more easily. Keep at it, brother. You're getting there. ✌🏻🙂👍🏻!
Another great idea , thank you

Awesome work again Jason. The spirit keep fighting you but you will win. Can't wait to see this bus come back around.
Getting there slowly but surely, better than any suspense movie , keep going and be safe out there .😊
Really??? Working under the Rain??? . You are the Fred Astaire of the Vw’s buses men . Amazing work . Uta incredible 🤙🤙🤙🤙👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You are so patient with your work I would be so frustrated with my shelf, looking like you’re going to get it done…
The "soggy" continues! Great that you're staying with it...steady, steady does it!
Yes , haha…thank you
The skid idea is good. Screwing the wheels to the skids also good. Reset that up better. Tomarrow is another adventure. Entertaining as always thanks
Love these videos
