James unintentionally referenced the “ass-motorcycle”, which was a scrapped Joker scheme from the 90’s, later reused as a nickname for Dick Grayson in college.
Is that actually true? Boy, I sure hope so
I’m so happy more people are finding this channel! This has been my favorite issue solely because Huntress is one of my favorite characters.
My favorite issue of BTAC has been the entire story of "Red Son Rising". I feel like it had a nice build up and told the Red Hood story in an interesting new way.
I know the original artist for this series is currently out for medical reasons but this issue has a first draft sketchy unpolished look. Hopefully for the graphic novel release it’s all cleaned up just like in season 1.
So far my favorite issue of BTAC has been Season One: Chapter Seven " A Darker Knight". I enjoyed seeing Azrael in the BTAS style and it was cool how they worked him into Bruce's history.
My favorite Issue is issue #1 cause now we’re fully embracing this as possibly a variant DCAU timeline and James hopefully isn’t going crazy with the timeline stuff

I would say volume 1 chapter 5 seeing I think it was the perfect middle grounds of the story both easing us into the Jason Todd story and adding more to the Deathstroke story while also not having the usual issues I had with the story either forgetting continuity or feeling rushed to meet a deadline for toys that some were never released.

Fave that I’ve had time to read so far has been the reveal of Jason Todd’s flashback. Loved seeing their interpretation of his costume as a nice inbetween-point! Just looked neat and slick

When it comes to the BTAC Series and the current issues released at this time. I would have to go with Issue #7 not only for the introduction for the newest character/ hot meme on the Watch Tower Database the bird, the myth, the Legend MR. WING! But also for being able to see Azrael make an appearance in the series using his cool enchanted Sword with Fire Aspect 2.
Loved the video and I love this series so much it’s so great to se you guys pointing out everything thing and your videos make it feel like the shows are still running thanks you.

I know that the continuity issue can be annoying when it comes to the new BTAC series. I just view this whole comic series as an alternative timeline like in justice league they would visit alternative timelines quite a bit. Really awesome to see Batman DCAU content again 😄.

Oooooooo, I think I actually have a corrections this time! For DC comics references, Huntress's origin that includes a brother first appears in the retelling/recounting of her origin in Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood (probably #1 I think)

Favorite issue the two with Deadman a character I love so much and his angst over being a ghost is a form of depression that I can relate too so much. It such a sad character but he deals with it the best he can
My favourite issue is the season 1 christmas special. Loved the spunkiness and art in it.

My favorite issue so far? Oh, that's a toughie. Probably the Christmas Special. But I've enjoyed all of them.
I liked the initial issue of the Court of Owls arc. It felt like this series at its peak.
My favorite issue is by far any of those from the mentors arc since Deathstroke was by far the character I was most excited in the world to see added into the dcau since I was I was kid and saw Slade being a bad ass on Teen Titans.
This was my favorite issue because it had Huntress, my favorite character
I would have to say my favourite issue was season one issue 4. Having an adventure focusing on Robin and Deathstroke was really cool. It feels the closest to Teen Titans the DCAU has ever been.

-Super minor correction but to my understanding, Lazarus Pit juice is made from dionesium juice, not the other way around. (Quick summary for New 52 continuity: It's a chemical either originating from the earth, meteors or both which Vandal Savage found turning him immortal, Ra's al Ghul altered into the Lazarus Pit, the Court of Owls mined for Talons, and which Crazy Quilt studied alongside Hugo Strange and Doctor Death while trying to create healing tech for Wayne Ent.)
Interesting…I wonder how that would apply to the DCAU though, as it seems rather solidified that the Lazarus Pits are naturally occurring in BTAS

This issue was my favorite. Action packed with characters we don't see too much anymore. Its just a solid done in one which i love. The continuity nods excite me and the erroes frustrate me. But this was fun. Season was a letdown for me

I really liked the final court of owls issue even though it doesn't fit in continuity. I like the designs for the zombie owls and I thought the inclusion of deadman was handled well.

I really wanna watch all of the DCAU but I can't figure out the best order. I really wanna watch it in a timeline order but that might be impossible to do currently. There's a production order and a air order, and I know there are other watch orders online, but I'm indecisive.
I'll just put the timeline thing out of my mind, I guess.
We have a video from a few months ago going over the entire chronological watch and read order! Go check that out, otherwise production order is always my preferred way to watch them.

Issue #2 of Jason Todd. Who knew Bruce knew about another Robin to be on his team. Then it turns out to be a type of odd hero or some kind almost a villain. lol Dark secrets of which Batman never told Tim Drake/Robin and Barbara Gordon/Batgirl about yet. Well, maybe with Dick Grayson/Nightwing who was once the original Robin.
7:30 not quite I have to add one massive stretch to the Ziggy connection it can (but it probably not) be a reference to Ziggy The green r.p.m. Power Ranger who has ties with the mafia not to mention Power Rangers and Justice league crossover (is this a stretch completely but do you know who else is a stretch plastic man lol)

I'm pretty sure the events of Loki are going to affect the main MCU. It's really the MCM now, Marvel Cinematic Multiverse. Or, if we already have multiple multiverses, then it's the Marvel Cinematic Omniverse. The MCO.
I don't know what happened during What if? I just know it all leads to [REDACTED] and isn't just an anthology series. The comic line of What if? really is just random what ifs and there's no [REDACTED]

If Dini's idea with this series was to continue TNBA as if Beyond (or possibly JL and JLU) ever happened, then why not heavily advertise the series as that from the very beginning?
It definitely wasn’t “heavily advertised,” but it was brought up in a very early interview with the writers. I’d highly recommend our “Will It Canon?” episode on BTAC!

The story is definitely not canon. Because Huntress' flashback is totally different from BTAC and JLU.
JLU: Huntress' parents was killed by Steven Mandragora.
BTAC: Huntress' family was killed by gun-execution, while Jazz-man was playing his piano.
It’s one thing to have this sort of canonical inconsistency during the original run of the Bruce Timm DCAU franchise but sort of inexcusable in this day and age.
Maybe it's a DCAU reboot?
@@moviereviewer911 If the comic is supposed to be part of the same universe as Batman TAS and TNBA, then the writer should remember the JLU origin for Huntress. The only way I can see the new flashback making sense with the other flashback is that this is a different Huntress.
I get them getting details wrong, but to actually dismiss a backstory that was shown on-screen shows either incompetence or purposefulness.

Season 2 is already far better than the first, but they are non canon…these stories are “what if” and the timeline through JLU and Batman Beyond are definitive. I still consider the old diniverse comics canon, as opposed to these new ones.
I would be really surprised if they acknowledge the Bruce/Barb relationship in anyway in these books, y'know because everybody hates it(I dont tho)
Also, what if Barbara is dating Grayson but Batgirl is smooching with Batman? it always came across that she was more in love with the idea of Batman than with Bruce himself
Or better yet, we nuke this god-forsaken pairing that Bruce Timm just seems to have a hard-on for. Seriously, The Killing Joke movie did not need this in the adaptation nor did it actually have any justifiable reason to be included in the first place.
