Thanks for the planned update on the courses. I am working through the Live 2 and was worried it is now outdated. I appreciate the extra work and doing it for the community.
Updates come out frequently. If you had the original software that came on your live 2, it would be outdated as you call it. Or not up to date. Tons of changes since live 2 came out! Just update it when new updates come out!

Good Morning my Brother! Great video! My eye's watered up just looking at the new screen setup. I've been rocking Akai off and on since since back in the day when I got my 2000XL, I have a Studio Black now. Talk about perfect timing my MPC One Plus will be here today. I'm also a Maschine user and this right here is exactly what I've been waiting for Akai to do. They have basically said without saying you don't need a Daw! Everything you need is right here. I honestly love this update,I got my first mpc from a few months now, and coming from daws this is really bridging the gap from me, I used to export my mpc projects to a daw for mixing but also for some adjustments in the arranger , but now I feel like I’m gonna export the stems only for mix&master
Looks sick. I own my MPC X for almost a year now, think I covered all the main features. Now it'll be a fresh start but I'm ready for it. Really like the new arrange page, as I'm coming from Studio One / Cubase. Really looking forward to it.

Where are the Drum FX located, like the extra effects menu on the previous firmware? Loved those per pad clip / drive effects without wasting an effect insert
Great video. Two questions that came up for me. 1. Now that we get audio disk streaming. Does 3.0 now allow more than 8 audio tracks in standalone? 2. If you create a new sequence. Is it empty or do the tracks between sequences sync? Thus let's say if you have seqence 1 with drums, bass and an instrument and then create sequnce 2. Does ist have the same instruments or is it still like in 2.x that you either have to copy a sequence or recreate the tracks? If the track setup doesn't sync... How does arrangemet of multiple sequences work?

How is the backwards compatibility? Now that the structure of tracks + drum programs has shifted to simply tracks, I'm a bit confused how it's going to handle old project files with the old structure, since tracks and drum programs haven't been strictly tied to eachother up until now. I'm guessing there will be a way they'll make this work, but for the moment do find this a bit confusing.
Yes, it will let you load old projects, selecting specific sequences, and will automatically merge the programs and tracks together. I’ll make you specifically on this since a lot of people have been asking this question.
I JUST purchased The MPC One Plus...it's literally still in the box. Now I'm worried that I won't be able to work with it if I download MPC 3. ??? Any tips for an old woman?? When I unpack it, should I download the MPC 3 update and make that the beginning platform for me(?) If so, will the basic operations or the "Get Started" (from the initial instructions) be any different? Cheers
Congrats on that MPC and I would definitely jump on that MPC 3.0 I feel for beginners is going to be so much easier to get a hold of its workflow. Everything is straightforward and makes a lot more sense than 2.0.
I use MPC 2 software with an Alesis vi25 keyboard because it has 16 mpc style pads plus keys , I use a lot of 3rd party VSTs . Will this update be on the software? 😢

Everyone jumped on to adding the Tascam Model 12 to the MPC. Would you say this new MPC 3 mixing workflow makes it easier to navigate and menu dive? And the Tascam isnt as necessary?
Andy has done a great job updating the Bible over the course of may MPC iterations. I’ve followed him since the 1000 with JJOS! It’ll be work, but he as well as Malo and our other teachers will help us all move forward together. This is a welcomed positive change!

Can you transpose a select section in arrange mode ? When I make my beat I transpose different sequences to make my beat interesting and switch it up .

Its going to be a learning curve that is worth it imo, much less menu diving. You can do it!
If it was Roland or Yamaha, this would have been an all new release! This is why I'll stick with Akai.

Old mpc had a feature called step record where notes are inputed one note at a time can you do this with mpc3’s arranger
