Thanks a million. I've been struggling for hours and finally you made it look so easy by just moving the screens around. Mine was just moving it up or down.💪
Great video. This solves half of my problem. Now all I need to be able to do is use my laptop as a remote extension of my workstation from a different location.
this is so much helpful for me especially when its the part on the project PC option was grayed and I have to install the wireless display !!! Thank you so much, sir!!! by the way new subscriber here!!
Thanks! I have just a monitor or screen that I want to use as an additional screen to copy my assignments and have an example of the template to follow I hope this make sense to you'd what I want to accomplish.
Solved my problem! Thank you for an informative & complete video. Wireless Display wasn't installed on my 1 year old Dell laptop, but your video was the only one that instructed me on how to add it. Kudos!
Thanks here too a year later. Your instructions were excellent and helped me re-purpose an old Windows 10 17-inch laptop as a monitor for my very modern Zenbook with a 14-inch screen. Now I'll be able to effectively use a photo-editing app and see what I'm doing clearly.
this is not reliable. So cable method is there? Wired connection ? I have desktop with 2monitors and I need a 3rd monitor and for that I want to use my laptop as 3rd monitor over wired connection
Just some things I found out that he did not cover. If using 2 laptop's and no desktop, you will see an on/off button only use to projection to another computer when computer is plugged into power. You can switch this on and off depending how you use it. Also I had to have wireless display installed on both laptops.
Simply awesome! And if using phone that supports desktop mode, even better. Although, there is some lag. Can even window it and use as "app" on laptop.
Hi. Great video btw. But after having the second monitor wirelessly the display resolution was in poor quality compared to the main display. Is there a way to adjust to have the same quality display?
For anyone who's device doesn't support Miracast (this), Spacedesk is a great alternative. I just got my old machine to act as a 2nd (5th) monitor this way.
If you don't already have a monitor for your desktop, there's the capture card method - basically a HDMI to USB converter. That will allow your desktop to connect to the laptop as a "camera" and you can view its output as camera output. If you do have a temporary monitor though - this method is certainly better. Note that it assumes your desktop has wireless capability, which not all desktops have.
I require some more support. I am using a HP Tablet with Windows, have a usb monitor converter connected SONIQ monitor. I cannot connect to it following those options unfortunately. Do you have a video specific to using the cord?
Thanks a million. I've been struggling for hours and finally you made it look so easy by just moving the screens around. Mine was just moving it up or down.💪

You should be able to change the monitor's resolution in the display settings once connected.
@@AskaComputerGeek I've changed to the highest and it is still not good. I've tried with HDMI cable but it's not working.
