Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings. This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment.

Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety and illicit pill addiction. imagine carrving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not in a couple years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.

Kevin, Meditation is the practical way to handle anxiety because the mind is reprogrammed. Watch alternate nostril breathing meditation videos on Google and do this simple meditation for 5-10 minutes if possible twice a day. You can sit on a chair and do this meditation. Second simple meditation is sit anywhere with back erect without moving for 5-10 minutes. Don’t move-be still-slowly negative thoughts will reduce. . Best wishes Shyaaam Sir, --Life guide.. Make meditation a daily habit.

    To everyone suffering from anxiety,
You are not alone in this world, you will always have someone to turn to weather it is a friend, family member or your partner. You are perfect just the way you are, you don't have to be like them, the world was made by itself and this world decided it needed one of you to brighten our world up. Just because you feel alone doesn't mean you are alone. I have anxiety, social anxiety and depression after my dog ran away and got hit by a truck when I was on holiday, I now have trust issues because my uncle was supposed to be watching my dog. Don't worry you are not alone ♡

@@maalmnsouri i am always doing something. It doesn't make it go away but just pushes to the side a bit. I am full time care giver for my aunt who has had 2 brain bleeds this year. Also running my own household . There is no time to talk with friends or new hobbies. I have had anxiety my whole life. My mom told me when i was younger, if plans changed, i would panic. I don't let it stop me but i would like to feel at peace fully. I never had that. Colouring helps but never 100%. Being in the woods camping is the best. Just tired of doing it alone but will another person bring there not let me fully be at peace?? Maybe it has to be the right person. But i just wonder what people who don't have anxiety or depression feel. I had one 5min session of bowen therapy and for the first time ever my body took a deep breath and relaxed. When i have the time and money i want to try it again.
I don't take medications. I don't let it run my life. Meeting new people and going new places is a nightmare for me but i work construction. Its meeting new people and going new places. Exposure therapy i guess. When I'm away from doing it for so long makes it so much harder to get your brain to go back to it. I also do CBT that i didn't was a thing but i was still doing it for myself for a long time. Going to try meditation also.
But i would love to feel what someone who doesn't have depression or anxiety feels. Just once..

I first started having anxiety in 2017 when i moved to a new country and started a new school, I fell into the low esteem when I was struggling to find friends and thought it was my fault I was awkward and no one like me. i was so scared that people were always judging me, I was always nervous, I used to hold my breath and clench my thumbs. When I was waking through school everyone used to stare at me Because I was new, I overthunk about their judgments about me because I felt like I was in the background and no one would notice if I was not there. I wasn’t involved in anything and my grades started slipping.I used to say a lot of mean things about myself like, I don’t deserve to be alive I always ruin things etc.. no one ever knew even though I tried to talk about it, they took it as a joke. I couldn’t take it anymore and I moved back to my native country. I have come over my anxiety now, it was horrid and wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy

My anxiety comes from a melding of # 5 & 6. Due to my dad's job I was moved 14 times in 16 years and was in 10 schools in 12 years. I feel like I'm so mentally unbalanced now. (I'm 52 years old. ) I feel lost with my only anchor being my mom. She was the only constant in my life. I found a "sport" which turned into an addiction. This addiction is akin to gambling and because of this, we lost 2 cars to repossession and almost 2 houses to foreclosure. I don't know how, but food has become a comfort. Trying to overcome addiction to sugar is difficult, but I am slowly overcoming it.
I love this channel. It gives me something new to process on my journey to wellness. The narrative is soothing and that has me coming back for more info.

I went into remission after 5 weeks hospitalization but, continued receiving 8 different types of chemo, steroids, 6 bone marrow biopsies, 22 spinal taps, and 200 blood tests for 3 more years. After completing treatment, I grew up happy but, also very anxious. Only in last 9 months had I been diagnosed with medical PTSD and started seeing a psychologist who specializes in trauma, and taking medication. Thanks for the videos!

Is it bad that now that I think about it my mom and my dad probably played a huge role in why I have anxiety and depression by 1. Not giving me love or encouragement when I actually needed it 2. Comparing me with other kids and my siblings 3. Pointing out all of my insecurities such as my acne 4. Telling me what I can and cannot wear or do 5. Always coming into my personal business by looking at my phone when I’m not looking or snooping around my room when I’m not home 6. When I’m actually trying to tell them “Hey this is happening (mentally or physically) I really need help” or “If I act different just leave me alone and don’t make a big deal” and something happens they’re like “What is wrong with you?!” or “I did NOT raise my child to act like this” or “Hand me you’re phone. NOW!” (Oh btw my phone is my only source of communication and whenever I don’t have it I feel scared, vulnerable or out of touch with reality) when I get yelled at even in a playful way from friends I have an anxiety attack or a mental break down and I either 1. Start crying or 2. Run away to my phone where I can talk to the only person who doesn’t yell at me, aka my boyfriend, but the reason why I need my phone to contact him is because we’re long distance. But he makes me feel safe, loved and happy with who I am by calling me beautiful when I say I’m ugly, he sneaks on his phone to talk to me when he’s not allowed to it shows he cares he has had an amazing impact on my mental health and I say I’m getting better with his help
(Oop- this is really long- sorry guys TwT)

Some times you can't handle it and I'm thankful that I've had teachers and a friend who are compelled to help me through my journey to finding ways of coping. I often find it hard not to have someone I deeply care about to be by my side as I find change in myself. I wish I had someone who told me they where proud and helped when I was down.

It took me 22 years to admit to myself that I can struggle with anxiety. I've had social anxiety when I was a child and a teenager, and I kind of partly got rid of it into my early adulthood. I still have anxiety, especially in public and social situations. When it happens, all my inner bad voices, fears and feelings comes back to the surface of my mind, my muscles in my neck, my back and shoulders become very tight and painful, and i become in survival mode, which i don't like. I wasn't even aware of it, this is how my anxiety has became so usual in my daily life that i had to realise I had it, and it was a big step i've made : accepting it, so i can heal it.
I've applied lately to a student job in a bar, which has A LOT OF PEOPLE AND STRESSFUL SITUATIONS IN IT, purposefully. I want to overcome my anxiety, my lack of confidence and self-esteem, my maladaptive daydreaming, so badly that i can work in any places in a zen mode.
I've made a lot of progress over the past years so I know anyone can do it !
The philosophy of Buddha helped me a lot, it helped me as i like to say : to stay calm in a burning house (which is our society and world).
Sending love and hope to everyone here !

Besides the ones shown here, I’ve also found that thinking too hard about the future is a big trigger for me. I get into this downward spiral of “what if this person dies?” “What if I never talk to my friends again?” “What if my dog dies?” “What if my favorite horse never gets better?” “What if some things I’ve said in the past are discovered and I lose all of my friends?” Thoughts about college, trying to find a family, the prospect of living alone, and... other things happening to people will send me deep into anxious thoughts. I’m not someone who cries a whole lot but these thoughts almost always send me to tears. It took me forever to recognize it as a trigger though.

I hate how right Number 1 is to me. My overthinking has gotten so bad to a point where when i start talking to someone, I would start thinking "Maybe i could have said/rephrased it better, To leave a better impression?" on most occasions, Leaving me to think about it up to hours or even the rest of the day. Whenever i write anything, No matter how long it is as long as i have the time, I will read it all back to double check if even one word is misspelled. I have this mindset of 'I want to know everything, Until there's little to no chance of failure' and it's driving me mad, But i don't want to stop it. It's not because im scared of being weak, judged, or belittled, It's because i want to take control of everything and be near perfect each time. I don't care what others think, If im not proud of what i do, Then it's useless. And another thing is, I need to notice every little change, Because if i see something different and don't know what the reason for it is, Then i'll feel weak and ignorant, Stemming from the fact that i think im not attentive or observant enough.
This is like, The shortest i can make this and i still want to say so much more. It's also one of my problems, I cant seem to express everything i want to say in a more 'compact' way. Maybe because i have too much to say, Or im just inefficient in talking.

I think I have a kind of "difficult" personality. Not to other people, but rather for myself. I am gifted, but very self conscious, so when I was younger and understood things quicker than others in my class, I thought I had to be wrong. I always looked for the flaws in myself. I also care to much about others and their emotions or opinion (on me), to the point where I would lie just to make them happy. I can relate to them very well and feel the unconscious signs they send in a conversation way more than others. Also I struggle a lot with talking to strangers or people I don't know well. Standing in front of my class makes me incredibly anxious. I was bullied by my earlier best friend in 5th grade, and I still don't think I did anything wrong. In elementary school I pretty much didn't have any friends at all. I look for external validation a lot. I was underweight my whole life (because of my genes) so many people told me I had an eating disorder. I'm very competitive and always compare myself. I am emotionally unstable and also struggle to show my emotions. I really like having things organized, but my mind isn't.
But even with all of those things, which make my life way harder than it could be, I'm quite happy. I'm still in the process of sorting my life and it got a lot better. I was very bad for a long time, but then I switched schools and pretty much started a new life. I feel better now.

Is it just me, or does anyone also feel anxiety from overthinking things that aren’t related to you at all? Like global problems or future probabilities. My parents get annoyed with me because they say it’s a sign of not having more important things to do and I shouldn’t worry about such things in the first place because they do not concern me. I just get really overwhelmed at times, and I don’t know what to do about those feelings 🥺😔

I personally went from spendin time alone cycling after 7pm when there arent alot of ppl around good.so i would suggest going out a lil late or early.
Another tip is going to the mall but around 1h before it closes sinse there arent much ppl there then.the more comfortable you are outside (starting with these lil steps) the less anxiety worries u will get in the future. It does get better i promise u

What I had gone through and still am going through is not only anxiety. It's also my memory which gets terrifying when it gets to big big vocabulary terms ( like the ones used in college Biology books). This not only led me to depression, but it even led to horrifying amounts of stress, fear, and worst of all epilepsy due to over-studying and lack of enough sleep. No matter what I do, it seems as if fear has taken me, leading to failure on exams. Now it has even come to rage and negative thoughts about what I might or might not do.

  • @pianopanicattack

I’ve had anxiety since I was 7, as long as I can remember it’s been manageable and barely noticeable, but 2 months ago it just shot through the roof and now it’s taking over. I think it’s for multiple reasons. It may have started because my best friend and I are fighting so much. I don’t trust her very much anymore, and the day it started taking over, I had a fight with her that morning. Now I’m always afraid of how she’ll react, and I’m scared of hurting other people. We almost never resolve our fights. I know that it’s only going to get worse if we don’t fix them, but she just says it’s fixed and runs away from it. I’m also overachieving, which just makes me feel like I have to be better. I’m gifted, and I feel like I have to live up to that label. I had a panic attack over my grade dropping from a 97 to a 95. I’m also terrified of being misunderstood. People always say it’s all in my head and it’s not a big deal and to just be happy, as if I had control of that, even when they know I don’t like hearing that stuff. There are only 2 people in my life that actually understand. I feel like a burden to them, even though I know they help me because they’re my friends and they like me and care about me. Still, I have no way to contact them, and Christmas break has been so lonely. I miss them like crazy.

Luckily she's taking medication to help with her depression and I think her anxiety is getting better.

At 14 I was diagnosed with anxiety/depression. As time passed, I had developed my own way of coping with it. I noticed that mild physical exercise helped alot and practicing good thinking.
At 24 now, I’ve recently discovered that in long term emotional and physical stress accumulates in the body, like anger, fear, sadness, lack of forgiving , overworking etc. And somehow is capable of compromising the endocrine glands. Currently have a taxed adrenal, I am usually fatigued and sometimes feel the symptoms of anxiety/depression. Now I am currently supplementing on adrenal glandulars and Vitamin B complex. It seems to be helping. Overall positive thinking really is vital.

I like to think I don’t have anxiety but I can’t hide the fact that I do because I have a lot of these signals. I don’t like thinking I have anxiety because people will say “your just an attention seeker” so I keep it to myself building up more anxiety. It’s when I go on rollercoasters or stress about school or losing weight. I build up so much more stress than I need. I push myself saying “your too fat lose weight, people will think less of you” or “your going to fail school you have no excuses, stop taking breaks you won’t get anything done” it hurts but I talk to people to help it. I feel so,so confident when I make it through the week and I always reward myself with treats or a pat on the back.
