I’m a 75y/o male with long term cardiovascular issues. I started taking 1000mg L-Citriline after watching Dr Brewer video. It has been 4 years and my latest cardiac tests show that my obstructions have receded. I now have cardiac appts once yearly instead of every 90 days. Dr would NOT aggree with me that the L-Citriline was the cause. Dr Brewer is awesome.

A couple years ago I decided to do 100K push ups in 1 year. I started using Citrulline as well as other supplements to aid in recovery. Throughout the year, I would sometimes forget to take my supplements for a few days, and I started experimenting with different ones. I was also taking Arginine, Glutamine, creatine, and some other nutropics at times. I was able to make a very clear distinction that when I was taking Citrulline, I was able to do push ups in reps of about 70+. When I forgot to take Citrulline, my reps were closer to 50. I tested numerous times, and the difference was obvious. It would take 2-3 days to see the benefit of Citrulline, and also in the reverse, if I ran out or forgot to take it for a few days, it would take 2-3 days for the effects to wear off. Citrulline became probably my favorite supplement, because the effects on my muscle endurance were very clear.

That doctor that wrote the book about using Arginine to get NO in your system was jumping the conclusion. He used it in liquid form and injected in the paient. You can't eat enough of the powdered form to get it to work good enough to do what he did. L-Citrulline is a precursor to Arginine and it takes a different path to achieve the goal. That is why it is working for a lot of people. I'll be 74 this month and I mixed it with Creatine and I was really surprised how well it worked the first time out of the box. I had been taking Creatine for several years and that was a real push forward as well. If your dieting you might want to add HMB as well. But I did take the L-Citrulline with Malate 2:1.

I had heard about citrulline for some time now. About three years ago I was awakening in the mornings with high systolic numbers. Generally in the 150's. I started taking 3 mg of citrulline twice a day, and after only two weeks by pressure was down in the 118 to 125 range consistently. I have been on it now for over 2 years and everything is fine. I work out with weights 3 days a week and it helps with my workout endurance. I do HIIT training and it helps noticeably. Also I am 72 years of age and am able to maintain my strength levels just as when I was much younger. I will continue to take it.

I am 57 years old and a die-hard cyclist. I took l-citrulline tablets 750 mg and increased it to 1500 mg per day. Wow. I cycled around and did not feel tired at all. I did not feel muscle pain that i usually do. I was not panting for breath anymore. After cycling I felt like I could cycle twice more the distance I did whereas under normal circumstances I would have felt dead tired. So, L-Citrulline improved my physical performance, made my heart feel stronger and also improved my erection. I felt like I was 25 years old! It's just amazing!!!

Yeah, I'm with you there! I'm 62 and an experienced and die-hard cyclist as well. I've been taking 1,000mg of L-Arginine per day for about 10-12 years. At this point it's hard to tell if it makes any difference, but I'm assuming it has and still does. I increased my daily dosage to 2,000mg about 4-5 weeks ago and then about 3 weeks ago I began taking 750mg of L-Citrulline per day in addition to the L-Arginine. In the span of only a few days, I noticed the exact improvements in my cycling performance that you've reported. It's as if your muscles function more effectively and the lactic acid dissipates more efficiently allowing you to sustain high efforts for longer intervals. Off the bike I've noticed that the blood flow to my toes has improved as I have been suffering from some peripheral numbness in my feet for about 7-8 months. I'm not sure if these improvements are solely due to the addition of L-Citrulline or the increased amount of L-Arginine or the combination of taking both. I suspect it's the combination. I am also considering doubling my daily L-Citrulline dose.

67 year old healthy male. Out of all of the products that I have tried for restricted urine flow, citrulline had an almost immediate effect. Within 20 minutes of taking it, I would have a piss reminiscent of when I was in my 20's. And one dose a day was all that was needed. Yes, my better half noticed an improvement in me as well. The bulging veins you have in your lower legs in the morning? 10 minutes after citrulline and everything is looking normal. It also helped with inflammation in my joints and my workouts were immediately more intense with that robust good kind of tired I used to have in my younger days. Since then I have amped up my water intake as well and swap out between citrulline and nutrulline, which has similar results although somewhat muted. I have also started taking a multivitamin as well and started counting calories and macros. But citrulline literally 'woke me up.'

When you mention nitric oxide and citrulline we need to mention acetylcholine. That is the main neurotransmitter that binds to its receptor on the endothelial wall to start the process of NO production. Taking dietary choline along with citrulline and arginine is like making your own nitric oxide power plants in your body. Choline is mainly found in egg yolks. We need about 500mg per day.choline will combine with acetyl coa which is a product of glycolosis and that combo forms acetylcholine which circulates in the blood and when the endothelial wall is stretched with increased blood flow it signals acetylcholine to bind to the receptor. The nitric oxide is then formed from arginine and the nitric oxide causes the blood vessel to dialate

I know L citrulline works. Been taking s product for 6 months called " "Blood flow" by juvenon. Works great. It has both arginine and L-Citruline. You can see online. However, they some proprietary ingredients. There could be other things like choline but not sure. It works good however I am gonna increase the recommended dosage with intermittent introduction and simply alternate. I think everyone has a different response rate and amounts for many supplements just like drugs have to be. It's still important to eat a healthy real food diet and get rid of processed food and alcohol. Dr Berry says eat a PHD. Thats a proper human diet. Carnivore or keto carnivore. I agree.

I had a hip replacement due to a 4 metre fall (smashed my hip) and even 8 months on, I noticed my lower operated leg was different to my non-operated leg, the skin looked dull and lifeless, had a scaly skin appearance and different in color. JUST one week after supplementing with Citrulline Malate (6gr) I cannot believe the difference! The color is back, the scaly appearance has gone and it now looks like my non-operated leg. I lift weights four days a week and I had to double check I was picking up the correct dumbbells because they felt lighter than usual. One other thing I noticed; I use to get mid afternoon slumps, just a tired and flat period; but they have gone since taking CM. Unbelievable stuff!

I've also been taking medical grade fish oil 20 years ( 2 grams 2 × a day). I don't work out in the gym but I walk about a mile and a half a day. I am 1 year post-prostatectomy which induced ED as an obfuscating factor. Been lifting for about 5 years. I don't have pubmed or medline access to journals anymore so I don't know what the dose response is for the l-citrulline. So for me, n=1 so not good science for results, meaning my results are completely anecdotal.

I train 5 - 6 days a week weights and some cardio. I take 6gm of Citrulline Malate, 6gm of Argenine ketoglutarate and 3gm of Glutamine Peptides every morning. I have seen a good reduction in blood pressure and increased blood flow (pump) during weight training sessions. I recently stopped taking these during 3 weeks of suffering from Coronavirus. At the latter part of the isolation I started to get Atrial Fibrillation, with my heart racing at about 130bpm then dropping to about 30bpm. I immediately started re taking the above items and within days the condition lessened and is now completely gone. I weaned myself off the mixture over a week and then started another 8 weeks with just water. I could finish the total body exercise routine but felt whipped. On an occasion I felt okay but not like I did with the supplements. I completed the full 8 weeks even though I didn't want to. I restarted the mixture and on the second day I noticed that I was doing better and perceived that my exercise exertion and results were better. Honestly, since my 20s I noticed a significant health decline. Now, at almost 50, I feel like an 80 year old. After seeing multiple specialists, I was left with no answers but pills to handle symptoms after hormone therapy killed off T-production and other issues. NO has therefore been something of interest. Sadly, there are so many caveats. For example, some NO-related supplements are not suggested for people over 40. People say you can eat cucumber and watermelon fo NO, but they rarely look at how much and how often you have to eat these L-Citrulline foods to get a suggested recommended daily dosage. During the summer, I eat cucumber sandwiches all the time and have never seen any benefits. The only foods I have ever had me feel 200%+ better the next day was cooked beet roots and cooked rutabaga greens. But, getting these foods year round are difficult. Plus, who wants to eat beets and rutabaga 365 days a week just to feel normal?!? All I have learned about our understanding if health is that, when contrasted by what we don't know, their is a very small veil between our days of treating health with leeches and humors vs our contemporary era approaches.

I've taken it for years and I notice on average my heart rate is lower on an elliptical machine, where if I take 3MG or more an hour before I do cardio, my heart rate usually doesn't go above 150 at a moderate phase II pace for 30 minutes. If I don't take any, it will go as high as 160 pretty consistently so I try to never forget to take it. I usually feel like I can get a better "pump" on weight training days but otherwise, I have no tangible numbers to do off of. Anecdotally speaking, it seems to work for me. My wife takes a dose a day for her hypertension and/or a dose if she feels like her BP is high but since she's on statins it's hard to really know if it makes a difference.

I think the trick is to take it well before working out and consistently. I think of it as something that helps my blood flow better and reduces overall "slugishness".
