    wago connectors for expanding was great idea. Thank You. I've been using the same fuse block and really like it.

    This is a great idea. I put on the Big Bike Trailer Harness to add extra running, brake and signal lights to the bike without pulling a trailer.
    I have the Electrical Connections Fuse Block with a 30 amp relay.
    All seems good other than too much wire under the seat.
    I ordered some of the Wago Connectors on eBay right after I saw this video.
    Thanks a bunch.

    exactly what I needed to know. I have been looking at multiple accessories, and wondering if I should just stay with one brand for my 2018 Goldwing. I like the functionality of the Show Chrome Isolated fuse block, just what I need for using different accessories! I used a little creative thinking a while back to mount a GPS on my HD Low Rider by using their installed USB connector, just forward of the tank on the frame. I did not want to run the factory Zumo wires under the seat, and I also want the flexibility to use the Zumo GPS on other bikes. Thanks for this video!!!

    This is obviously a quick and simple expansion idea and I appreciate where you are coming with the ability to change and add things to the bike later with little effort. I also hear you plan to cable tie etc to clean it up, which is good as the wiring looks quite bulky and somewhat messy. I would prefer to take extra time to solder wires, run wires in parallel, heat shrink around them and wrap them like a loom. I feel anything on a motorbike is always best to be weather sealed even under the seat. I can see this video would be helpful for someone not so fussy.

      The second phase is to route the wires and tie them up neatly. Soldering is always best and the most reliable connection. I am also coming up with a way to water seal the WAGO connectors and after I test it, I will put that into another video.

      Two possible options are a large heat shrink tube or self fusing tape. I will be interested in what you come up with. Thanks

    My Mechanic kept the Show Chrome Box in. He did not want to switch to PATHFINDER Dist. Power Hub or use the WAGO Clips says not water tight (Northeast , live close to water)

    Colorado uses Magchoride during the winter so winter riding is only done when it’s dry.I drive a truck for a living and we all kind of light problems because of it.

    Chris, my Isolation Fuse block just arrived. Question: I am running one set of driving lights (Denali) and one set of fogs lights (Rivco) up front. Do I wire these two sets to the running light connector on the isolation fuse block or to the opposite side where it has the 12V Key On connectors? Thank you.

    Ohne question: is that richtig, that you just have ohne wire from Show Chrome, that Connecticut the fuse Box to the original bike wird? And all the rest lights you run oder the fuse Box? Do you need to buy the wire from pathfinder then, like in you buy the for lights of something el
    else?
    Are there different Isolation fuse boxes on the market?

    Hi, I’ve just installed de pathfinder cowl lights with the harness and only the “white light” is working not the turn signal. The video is 2 years old. Is the harness alone ok to use with the cowl lights or do I need a fuse box ? I have a 2021 GW and the cowl lights is my only add on accessory. Thanks for your response:)

    Hey Cruiseman. Great video! Just wondering if this same principal can be used for a 2012 Goldwing...using the Show Chrome fuse block. And, also where would be a good placement for the fuse block? any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    • @cruisemansgarage
      @cruisemansgarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. I had the same fuse block on my 2012.

    So is the canbus is what is actually triggering the 4 fused signaling relays. Or are they just optically isolated and triggered by your tail light wires. Also I am assuming the big honking large black relay is for feeding another buch of accessories in the trailer

    This was an awesome video and I have a quick question… on the kuryakyn saddlebag back lights I want to run the wires to the show chrome my question is what are the colors for the hot, ground and turn signal lights?

    • @cruisemansgarage
      @cruisemansgarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not familiar with Kury's wiring colors, but I am sure it is on their website or in the installation docs.

    Does the left right turn from trailer used with the trailer brake light?

  • @brians2018

    Is all this really necessary if you only have the 4 accessories that the Pathfinder or Goldstrike harness are designed for, since your only adding low voltage LED lights? Has anyone had problems using only the harness?

    • @reginaldmack
      @reginaldmack 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I remember reading on a board where a guy who had Goldstrike lights on his saddlebags had to replace a controller because the adhesive holding the lights failed and the light fell off leaving dangling wires that shorted out the controller.

    This is the only way to add accessories to a canbus system. The best fuse block I’ve found is the fuse block, small but reliable.
