Monolith Soft deserves all the praise it can get. On the technical side for instance, while other Nintendo franchises with much higher sales projection have been delivering subpar projects in relation to the switch capabilities (cough cough, pokemon, cough), Monolith Soft, even with smaller resources and sales projection, manages to make games that greatly surpasses other switch titles, and overshadows other JRPGs (that became hallways fests rather than delivering beautiful worlds to explore, right FF7R?). With Xenoblade 3 they took the switch to its absolute limits, in between the scale and detail of the world, detailed character models and monster (considerably more monster variety than Zelda BOTW), up to seven characters in real time plus all enemies and tons of particles and yet running great (Zelda on the other hand had the infamous Kakariko village, lost woods, or lauching an enemy after freezing, really). And apparently, they found the same good balance between visuals and battery duration for portable mode as Dragon Quest 11S did. Battery life is super important when undocked, we can ask the steamdeck and its super short 2 hours life about that hehe. But yeah, more than that and it would not be a switch game anymore, and I doubt Zelda BOTW 2 will surpass this level of ambition unless a new switch model arrives.

There is no patch because it's not an error. That is how the game runs. Xenoblade 2 is known for being a rush job toward the end of development and they lost almost half their staff because Nintendo drafted them to help finish Breath of the Wild.
@@Jenema2 I was giving fair warning tbh, if you expect it to run at a high resolution then perhaps it's not going to. No offense but I'm not really interested in wether or not Nintendo had to pull their team off the project, if the end result is fairly shoddy; I'm extremely reluctant to sink any money into it. XC2 runs like utter crap in handheld in regards to resolution, and since the launch until now, which is a fair few years, nobody's done anything to rectify it. To me, that's all that matters.
I remember seeing random beasts in the wild go at each other in Final Fantasy 13. Based on the combat system that game had, if your party members had around 2000 HP, your enemies would have something like 100,000 HP and they would hit for around 300 damage. So it would literally take hours for them to kill each other. Will Xenoblade 3 will be the same?
@@beezusHrist He mentioned in the video that while you are exploring you will sometimes stumble into NPCs from both nations fighting each other. Similar to how in Final Fantasy 13 you find random beasts fighting each other.
@@warpuppy4528 no kiddo. Everything isn't like everything else. This game has its own unique mechanics and if anything, this game is biting off of Monster Hunter, not Final Fantasy 13, a game NO ONE is inspired by. Is that even a mechanic in 13??? Enemies fighting one another because I dont remember it and 13 is turn-based. Anyway, this game isn't like 13 so stop trying to make it relate to 13. It's much more like Xenoblade 1 and this mechanic they are putting in Xenoblade 3 was probably inspired by the Monster Hunter Games which are very popular RIGHT NOW.
@@beezusHrist what's your problem dude lmfao they literally presented a completely normal, genuine question because they wanted to know? also wtf are you saying turn based 13 lmao that gave was active time battle.
@@alex5623 13 is atb dude. Turn based active time battle. It's been that way since like Final Fantasy 4 lmao.... shut the f@#$ up dummy 🤡 Turn based means each character has a turn and waits to take their turn. Final Fantasy games have ALWAYS been turn based until Final Fantasy 12 which has an auto attack action rpg system similar to an MMO but it is also pseudo turn-based. And it isn't normal to relate things to things that are tangentially related because that's the only frame of reference you have for that thing. Either broaden your frame of reference or don't make bad comparisons in the first place. It's really easy. Xenoblade 3, and its mechanics, are not in anyway inspired by Final Fantasy 13. Again, maybe Monster Hunter, but definitely not Ff13. Monsters battle each other in Blue Dragon. And Blue Dragon is an jrpg made by a Japanese company. Is the Xenoblade series like Blue Dragon because ONE aspect of the Xenoblade 3 has a mechanic meant to further immerse the player in the open world? Not really. And Blue Dragon also has a turnbased battle system just like Final Fantasy 13 (because it was created by the creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi). The games should have added this mechanic a long time ago. They also should add a mechanic where prey species run away from you instead of just standing there. It is nice that the developers at Monolith are doing things to make the world more interactive instead of adding in useless gacha systems like the ones that are in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
I mean, to be fair, BAD dlc is like that. GOOD dlc is more like ordering a meal and then afterwards the server asks if you’d like dessert. Honestly, most dlc is neither. Most dlc is more like ordering your burger and not getting any tomato or lettuce or cheese with it unless you pay extra. Like, yeah, you can totally eat that burger just fine, and it might even be good, but you didn’t used to have to pay extra for all that stuff and it’s clear you’ve been given a slightly inferior product so as to milk a tiny bit more money from you.
unlike XC2, does XC3 gameplay recordable? XC2 was a letdown as i cant show off my battle. are we expecting customisable character attire just like XCDE?
I'm either really wrong about this or I'm just completely fan boy-ing over here. But the fact that the size of your party in real time is way more than your usual orthodox 3 or under is just absolutely incredible to me and have never seen that ina major jrpg. Like sure you have multiple characters in your party but many times you have to wait to get to a certain location or a save point until you can reallocate them who you want in the field of battle. But this them on screen like that is almost a catalyst for the industry of party members for the jrpg genre. It just looks absolutely incredible and makes the realism of being part of a war and wanting to team up with the other side of that war seem more apparent with this many on your party in real time. P.s the story line of living for only 10 years? Now that's interesting and obviously had a major part of the story.
I don't think they only live for ten years; many of those characters are obviously teens and older; odds are they are given a 10 year span of required military service; and if they survive military service they're sent to 'heaven'. Gonna be interesting to find out, but I'm pretty damn sure 'heaven' is anything but that.

Oh i remember another thing!! The cutscenes never match the battle that led to it... My max level party DEVASTATES the boss in 5 seconds... The cutscene is like "THE ENEMY IS SO STRONG!!! WE CANT BEAT THEM!!! BLAAH I FEEL and FEEEL!!! Waah waah....ANGUISH!! and so on for 30 minutes... Control goes back to me and battle resumes... BAM! Boss dead in 5 seconds.

I’m working through 2. I really like it, in spite of the pretty terrible battle system and the embarrassing costumes. Idk if I’ll get in done in time, including the dlc and then the first game… I really wish there was pausing in the combat, and perhaps an AI system like Dragon Age Origins or FFXII. Just watching most of the party make a mess on the screen while waiting to push the next button really lets 2 down (and yet I like the game anyway)

Did you guys starting to get your hands on the review copy from Nintendo???
Theres still a whole month to go
Nice work, you managed to mispronounce almost everything.

I remember seeing random beasts in the wild go at each other in Final Fantasy 13. Based on the combat system that game had, if your party members had around 2000 HP, your enemies would have something like 100,000 HP and they would hit for around 300 damage. So it would literally take hours for them to kill each other. Will Xenoblade 3 will be the same?
... why would anything in Final Fantasy 13 have to do with this game? Are you ok?
It's been that way since like Final Fantasy 4 lmao.... shut the f@#$ up dummy 🤡
Turn based means each character has a turn and waits to take their turn.
Kehvez not keeves
Xenoblade is what's keeping the SWitch alive.
Why he skipped Taion tho
Ah yes. A before you buy. Time to watch it after I bought it.
pre ordered ages ago with dlc
CRAFT WITH COINS!? MICROTRANSACTION PTSD!!!
Keh-vess not keeves
Pronounced like Keven.
My body is ready
I wasn't sure to buy but the ouroboros system is an instant buy lol
Gonna need plenty of wa ah due to strong feels
DLC is like ordering a hamburger and asking if you’d like the actual burger with your bun.
I dont know, are there changable Weapons? I dont like being stuck with the same weapon skin the whole adventure.
Thanks you for reaffirming i need this game
Looks amazing
I’ve been looking forward to this, though never completed the previous games this looks kick ass
would love it if it was 60fps but its the switch sooo i doubt it
Watching before you buy when you already bought it 🙋♂️
Yeah i was thinking the same
unlike XC2, does XC3 gameplay recordable? XC2 was a letdown as i cant show off my battle. are we expecting customisable character attire just like XCDE?
i really am interested into this game, but Sorry I can't use a switch.
Wish they produced their games for better hardware.
I need to know nothing but thanks
You said keves wrong
i pre ordered it today.
Why did I buy Pokémon legend yesterday?!! I forgot this game was coming out now I can’t buy it yet 😭
@@ShevaiAsan lol dude it's been confirmed by the developers and the writing team. There not allowed to put out false information. When they say 10 years they mean 10 years.
Have you played xenoblade X??? I'm guessing you probably haven't haha
Because if you had you wouldn't have said this it makes no sense for a xenoblade game what you've just said.
@@Sssisej If Im wrong, Im wrong. No shame in being mistaken. =]
0:34 Nice "research" saying Keeves instead of Kev-is.
When will it be on PC?
Never, this is a Nintendo owned franchise like Mario and Zelda.
@@Jenema2 time to emulate
@@RathalosEmperor Even the main 3 emulators available are a total mess even on high end computers. The Xenoblade games in particular are known for having aggressive visual errors on emulators that turn the game into a neon light show where every surface is brighter than the sun.
My ONE problem with this game is: The characters are so... umm.. stupid.. And i think the "feels" part of the story is waaaay too much. LOL.. Every cutscene is about 30 minutes of "I feel!!! and FEEL!!! And i dont understand whats infront of me..... And i feeeeel!!!! And feeel!!!!" I mean... 10 minutes after the story "kicks off" i got the picture... Like how the bad guys are "bad"...chapter 7 now and the characters STILL doesnt get it... and the fEEL!!! And FEEL!!! Yet there is no love at all... The characters dont even touch each other.. Even after all that happens in the game... Not a kiss or a hug... just endless inner monologues..
BAM! Boss dead in 5 seconds.
so went from X1 and XX two amazing downright fun games to X2 a more childish, and cartoony looking game to now X3 ahhhhh good to have the good old xenoblade back
You can like whichever games you want, because that's your opinion, but xc1 was originally supposed to look more like how it does in DE, which I think is closer to 2's style. I feel like the only game previously that tried to not have a very anime-esque artstyle was X, but it serves it well, just as the artstyle of 1 and 2 serve them well in my opinion. I imagine the same will be true for 3
@@AkatsukiAyano X1 was also supposed to not have the british synchro, but, in the end, it ended uo with it, bcs of world events at the time. And imo it ended up better, more unique. So, who cares how it was supposed to be, we all loved how it really ended up on our systems.
I’m working through 2.
I really like it, in spite of the pretty terrible battle system and the embarrassing costumes.
Idk if I’ll get in done in time, including the dlc and then the first game…
I really wish there was pausing in the combat, and perhaps an AI system like Dragon Age Origins or FFXII.
Just watching most of the party make a mess on the screen while waiting to push the next button really lets 2 down (and yet I like the game anyway)
The battle system for Xenoblade 2 is great, but they have terrible tutorials and that you can’t re-read it if you need to go back.
If you want something to help the battle system, watch chuggaconroy’s video with tips on the battle system. Unfortunately, xenoblade 2 was rushed so not all of it is super fleshed out, I still think the game is overall excellent tho. I’ll link the video in a reply to this comment. It’s only 10 minutes, but it helped me a TON when I played.

Hope this helps!
@@thesuperjag I do find it annoying that you can't go back and review tutorials in 2 but I never had issues with the combat because I felt that it was pretty intuitive (aside from blade combo finishers which I didn't understand until chapter 7 lmao)
Lip syncing omg yes
enough of dis shit give me a remake of XENOGEARS(PlayStation 1) it has huge potential and can be expanded upon lots of great dialogue and fighting mechanics, open world, surprisingly dark/sad moments like the Redrum boss and meeting his kid at the orphanage later...doesn't need the ff7 remake eye candy graphics just a finished story plus some extras, mech fights and combo systems like the classic, animated cutscenes also doesn't shy away from adult themes(some gore, nudity, sexual, alcohol) T-T I want this game remade so bad.......oh and the breath of fire series need a reboot but CAPCOM F**K it up by making a trash mobile that died a year later...Basterds...
Too late already preordered the special edition lol
Not sure if I’m into this type of game, never played 1 and 2. I pre ordered a copy so if I don’t like it I’ll keep it sealed, I’m sure it’ll go up in value after 10 years or so.
Wait, how'll you know without opening it
You should play XC1 since it's a fantastic RPG with an amazing story and will give you insight on what this series has to offer. It's also the first in the series and has been recently remastered.
@@dugtrioramen Since the decision to bump the date up from September to July happened to close to the final date they aren't going to have the special edition add-ons (steelbook case and artbook) ready for launch. Those who preordered the special editions will get the game on July 29th, and the extras in September. This is also also why you could only preorder from Nintendo's online store.
@@TibrisXVII oh, but I didn't think they meant the special edition though, with them being a new player
Well, the games are available for you to try. I was interested in trying Trails of Cold steel 3, to realize that it too was a direct sequel to the previous cold steel games, which in turn are sequels to trails in the sky and is actually game 8 in a bigger series.
I’m on game 3 of the overall story and don’t regret it. But it will take me a while to get to cold steel 3.
I doubt that you’re gonna regret doing the same with Xenoblade. Good luck
I know the story. We all do why include that? This is all just stuff from the direct
I dont need to know anything i was getting this day 1 no matter what it was
Welp...there goes another 200 hrs of my life 😋
God I hope Xenoblade 3 won't suffer from cringe dialogue syndrome Xenoblade 2 did. The character designs in this trailer are a big step forward.
Not in my book.
me when I realize there are no oversexualized characters in the next Xenoblade game 😢
Most game delayed meanwhile this game early
People who own tinfoil:
I only want to know 3 things:
1. Will it have endless, pointless fetch quests that are basically mandatory for you to grind and level up enough for the story to progress, like in 1?
2. Will the story be corny and thirsty, packed with cheap, ordinary, waifu related anime tropes, like 2?
3. Will characters have actual development with a decently written script, unlike 1?
Haha funny a before you buy... Take my money.
Keevs and Agnus……lol
KEEVS!!!! It’s Keves brotha

He mispronounced so much like Taion and Sena names it made me want to cringe especially since we know how to pronounce them officially from the direct...
Waifu chronicles 3?
Why cant a single american pronounce keves correctly......
Because they only speak a language that has no pronounciation rule they have no idea you dont have to guess everything
Weapon dont change appearence
Is that so? Would be a bummer to me
man analyzes direct, still pronounces Keves wrong unlucky
Before you buy: Klonoa
I... I am surprised by the mispronounced words. Keves especially
