    Hello there, my name is Gabriel and I play the character of young Noah in Xenoblade 3. It's AWESOME to see my character, to actually hear my voice and, to see the finished product! It's been an absolute privilege to be involved in this and it's VERY exciting to see everything come together in this way.

    As someone that has XC2 as one of my favorite games of all time, I don’t blame anyone for not playing that game past the 5-10 hours mark. The start of that game is rough, but the ending and the prequel DLC made it one of my favorite games ever alongside the Trails franchise. The combat is also my favorite combat system in any JRPG, but it took about 30 hours to become that. XC1 is a game that I think more people were easily able to get into, so if you were to ever try the other games, I would recommend giving XC1 an honest shot before trying XC2 again.
    As for XC3, I’ve put 10 hours into it in less than 15 hours since the game released, and it’s been everything I have ever asked for. Im glad that it appears to be appealing to a larger audience, and I’m glad that you’re enjoying it so far!

    I love the Xenoblade Chronicles games, the original is one of the Wii’s best games and its definitive edition is one of my favourite Switch games. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 takes awhile to get into especially because of the games terrible tutorials, but you really get drawn into the story once it gets going. All of the RPG's I've loved throughout my life seem to have coalesced into Xenoblade 3. I got a switch on saturday(my first ever Nintendo console) for Shin Megami Tensei 5, and got Xenoblade chronicles 3 just because it was there.. and ended up shelving SMT5 after an hour to play this gem exclusively all weekend. Anyone who is on the fence about getting this, get off it and just buy it. Literally Justified the purchase of the console.

It's a real shame that the director said it'd take too long to port over, given how it's systems were restrained to the WiiU's interface, probably making it troublesome to port over to the Switch. If anything, I'd rather Monolith Soft just make a Xenoblade Chronicles X2; with everything they've learned throughout the series so Xenoblade Chronicles, having a sequel to X would be fantastic to see how much more they could do with that game premise: Exploration, Character Customization, Multiplayer, Squad Missions, etc.

    This was a great spoiler free review! I’m actually right now playing through FF12 TZA on my switch and just loving it to pieces, the combat, the strategy, the leveling up, side quests, characters and of course the phenomenal story!!! I’m about 75% done with it though according to reviewers, and was thinking “man, I want another rich and engaging game like FF12!”
    Your vid was one of the top recommended XC3 reviews so I thought what the heck. 😊
    Dude it’s sooo reminiscent of FF12! The combat, the auto system w button presses(reminded me of quickenings) and the combo characters mechanic sure reminds me of when you summon Espers!! 😃

    People are so hard on the Switch for visuals. I’m sitting here thinking, it’s nearing the end of its lifecycle, and we are still complaining about it? I think people need to temper their expectations. The Switch is not PS5, PC or Xbox. But for what it is, the visuals are good. Hopefully we get the next generation soon that gives us a lot of updates but overall, the Switch has been one of the best consoles.

    XC2's combat system is one of the deepest ever in a JRPG IMO. And it's high praise coming from someone that didn't like most of the rest of the game.
    I got the privilege to get XC3 early and the combat seems to be faster earlier and it also opens up it's mechanics earlier. I don't know how it'll compare to 2 when it comes to how deep and fun 2 was (like doing blade combos and element combos at the same time while building up orbs to blow the shit out of the enemy with the chain attack bursts) but so far it's been great.
    Only criticisms I have so far is that I think 6 characters (a lot of times 7) at the same time is a bit too much. Not only because it gets messy but because it becomes harder to know how effective you're being at playing your character. The class system is also a bit... interesting. The game incentivizes you to immediately switch classes after you reach level 10 (it goes higher later I believe) so instead of planning how to build your character as you would with a Job/class system, you actually just keep giving every class to every character because there's no downside or reason to not do it.

    • @Minuey
      @Minuey 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always like it whenever games incentivize you to not stick with one single build. Take Shin Megami Tensei as an example. You get demons and then you release or fuse them because they lose value over time. This is unlike Pokemon where you can pretty much stick with 6 pokemons you found in the first route all the way to the final battle. While yeah, it may suck separating from the thing you're comfortable with, you may actually end up enjoying it more than you think.

    Have you played Xenoblade Chronicles X Matty? I feel like that would be more up your alley compared to XC1/2/3.
    It's setup more like a Western RPG. Huge focus on customization and exploration, and it's really deep. You create your own character. The main quest isn't really the main attraction if you don't want it to be. It isn't as cheesy and over the top anime fan servicey compared to the others if that bothers you (like it does for me).

    I haven’t played XC3 yet so I won’t speak for it but regarding the other entries…
    Xenoblade 1 was an amazing experience back in 2012 and still a fine game in its 2020 remaster! It has an ABSOLUTELY compelling story and believable characters! It has none of the oversaturated anime tropes or designs of XC2.
    XCX is a spin off but still an immensely enjoyable game. Unlike the the rest of the series it isn’t super focused on story but instead on it’s open world and mech gameplay! It’s the only game in the series that lets you pilot and fight with giant mechs! While the whole series is Fantasy mixed with Sci-fi, XCX is completely SCI-FI and technically takes place in our universe.
    XC2 is the weird one out. For whatever reason Monolithsoft decided to go all in on the anime bandwagon with the character designs and tropes. It was released only two short years after XCX and it shows. The game only had a staff of 40 people as Monolithsoft’s entire studio was gobbled up by Nintendo to help finish Breath of the wild.
    XC2 isn’t a bad game Imo but it’s definitely got the most going AGAINST it in comparison with the others.

    • @FireFury190
      @FireFury190 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think it was a bandwagon sort of thing. It's more that Takahashi likes to do something different with each game he works on. While still keeping the same themes he uses in the other Xeno games. Going as light-hearted as XC2 was at the start was probably gonna be a one-time thing regardless of how people felt. I will say Imo even though there were some accidental tantalizing things with Rex and Pyra/Mythra I think it goes without saying they have a far stronger relationship than Shulk and Fiora ever had.
      Doesn't excuse how bad the tutorials were. I was able to get it by the end but I understand how others couldn't. Especially since you couldn't go back and review them in case you forgot.

      I always find if funny when people act as though there was NO anime stuff in XC1 or XCX. Dude you can literally put your whole party in swimsuits, from the second you have them in your party. Hello? No denying XC2 is a bit rough around the edges though, likely do to said low staffing. However simply being a more over-the-top artstyle is not a bad thing, and it shows in XC2's sales numbers. I think XC3 will make up for lacking them(so far) by having far better marketing. But no doubt it would've made it sell better to keep that more front and center.

      Steam Deck has probably changed the handheld portable game forever and hopefully Influenced Nintendo.

    Based on what you said you’d really like the first one (definitive edition). It starts out and remains VERY serious with some comedic relief here and there.
    I haven’t played 2 yet. I’m thinking about skipping it and going from 1 to 3.
    I know 3 is amazing based on reviews. But I can’t for the life of me understand why the characters, who are fighting in a war, are dressed like Pokémon trainers.

      @@Dinklr if you read my post I literally explained that I hadn’t played the game yet.
      After playing the game I still don’t like that they’re dressed like Pokémon trainers. Xenoblade 3 as released (without the story dlc- at the time of this post it is not out yet) is the worst of the trilogy and the wardrobe is only a fraction of why I think that way. The story of 3 feels very loosely connected to the previous two entries despite sharing a combined world/universe from the previous titles.
      There are two characters, one from each of the previous entries, and they feel like shells of their former selves.
      I’m glad you enjoyed it, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to like what they enjoy and dislike what they don’t.

      @@aviatinggamer9051 well u asked why and i simply told u that if u play the game the clothing makes sense. Also the other 2 xenoblade games have some fucking wierd ass clothing so i don't see how weird clothing is a complaint.

      @aviatinggamer9051 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dinklr you didn’t “simply tell” anything. You came off like an asshole and that was your intent. Weird ass clothing is expected in a fantasy story but the clothing in 3, that the main characters, looks like casual real world clothing. It doesn’t look like something a fantasy character would wear.
      I’m not sure why you’re so hell bent on making everyone view this game the same way you do.

    I think King K’s video on Xenoblade 2 is what got me to be excited again for a Xenoblade game as that was a game I grew to hate overtime by just remembering it’s flaws instead of remembering the reasons why I even played all the way through it in the first place
