Great for the Ness grave, but you should also do the Harvey Pekar where you saw the pens. He helped a very famous cartoonist do the writing. There was a movie they was about his career years ago. You might want to check it out.

Seen Harvey Pekar on David Letterman a few times, they had interesting chemistry together. The movie you're referring to is called American Splendor. Remember it was a really good movie.

I was a huge fan of the t.v. series which featured Robert Stack as Eliot Ness. I had a huge crush on Robert Stack, an amazingly handsome man who played the role of Eliot Ness. He played that role very well, especially since he was a genius at keeping a poker face.
Lamont, if you haven't done so, please check back in so we know you're okay.

RIP Harvey Lawrence Pekar (October 8, 1939 - July 12, 2010)(aged 70) you will truly be missed and my prayers go out to you and your family. He was an American underground comic book writer, music critic, and media personality, best known for his autobiographical American Splendor comic series.

Hey Lamont love your videos. I live in a suburb southeast of Cleveland. At the end of your video when you were walking, there was a concrete wall. My mother’s house was on the other side, where she grew up in the 30’s and 40’s. Our family spent a lot of time in that cemetery when we would visit my grandparents. It is very rich in history. But sadly, you are right, all of Cleveland is a VERY bad part of town. It was bad in the 30’s but it is much worse now. We can’t even visit our relatives in Lakeview Cemetery. As a footnote, security might have been tailing you because you were very close to the Garfield Monument. Peace out!

Lol😁😁 thanks again Lamont stay safe! And the video was very clear and the colors were great 👍🤩

RIP Eliot Ness (April 19, 1903 - May 16, 1957) (aged 54) you will truly be missed and prayers go out to you and your family. Facts about Eliot Ness--> His family expected him to pursue a career or enter the business. From the years 1925 to 1927 he worked as an investigator for the Retail Credit Company in Chicago. However, his brother-in-law, Alexander Jamie, who worked as an agent for the Justice Department sparked his interest in law enforcement. Eliot Ness was earning a reputation in the Bureau as a firm defender of law and order, reliable and honest, who did not tolerate corruption or lawlessness. At the end of 1930 J. Edgar Hoover tasked Eliot Ness with the job of setting up a special, incorruptible squad to take out the gangster and his Chicago crime syndicate. During its first 6 months of operation, Eliot Ness and his team of Untouchables had closed down 19 distilleries and key breweries, worth an estimated $1,000,000, and seized 20 stills. Thousands of gallons of beer and alcohol were dumped. Eliot Ness resigned from his post in Cleveland on April 30, 1942, after being involved in a hit-and-run accident and giving up his career in law enforcement. He took the job as the National Director for the Federal Social Protection Program.

My maternal grandparents are buried in that cemetery. Granddad told me, since James Garfield is buried there, "If a president can be buried there, I can be buried there." And, he bought eleven graves for nine family members. (One for himself, one for his wife - my grandma - and then for their seven children) ....... And then two extra, just in case needed for other family members. All right next to each other. My mom is always wanting me to go with her to visit on Mother's Day (which is near my grandma's birthday), Christmas, Father's Day, days like that. And since granddad was in Army band, Memorial Day and Veterans' Day, too. So maybe if you do ever go back, if I see you while I'm there, "Hey, Lamont! Hi!"
As for the neighborhood, if you exit where the office is, and turn right, just keep going, yeah, that area is a bad neighborhood. But if you exit on the other side of the cemetery, where there's a building that's a crypt / mausoleum, and there's a flag and part of a beam from twin towers, turn left and keep going, that's a good neighborhood.

Great job, Lamont. I had family in Cleveland at the time Eliot Ness was there. There was a serial killer in Cleveland at the time that was never brought to justice and it always bothered Ness as Cleveland's Public Safety Director that he was never able to apprehend the killer he began to drink heavily.
