The old Luigi's Mansion game over screen did seem a bit creepy. You can't even tell if he's dead or if he's depressed. It gives me the chills just looking at him like that.
Reminds me of the game-over screen for Dragon's Lair, where we see Dirk, now with green, clammy skin, turn into a skeleton and collapse to the ground.

There's something else: The beta version of Luigi's Mansion also had a time limit to complete the game, and it's spoopy.

Toxapex I actually saw a theory on this saying that when the stork brought Bowser Jr., it mistakingly thought that Bowser and Peach were a couple, considering they were always together. So it ended up declaring Peach as the mother.

There's one thing in Mario Galaxy that I think should have
been on the list. If you get killed by an amp or another electric
thing, Mario will become a skeleton and lie on the ground, dead.

It actually shocked me, because of the usual familyfriendly athmosphere. I totally didn't expect that.
That traumatized 6 year old me when I first played that game. I always felt so sad, unlike the other death scenes, where i was just like "Eh. I'll try again." But when I saw Mario legitimately DEAD, that was where I got scared. I was also freaked out a bit by the sounds the black holes made, as well as those death scenes, but not as much as the electrocution ones.

Somebody once mentioned in a gaming magazine how fun it was to push poor peach into the Electric fence with Daisy.
I think that for the Peach scream moment that while she is being shocked horribly, Princess Peach is experiencing a horrible sensation where everything stops: her life flashes before her eyes, her heart stops beating as it gets poked by electric bolts, her nerves are being twisted within each other. Peach has no time to think what has happened as she nearly gets the life sucked out of her, and she can only scream in immense pain and horror, all because of you!!!
Or maybe just that her voice actress went over the top. (Ironically, this was Samantha Kelly's first time voicing Peach.)

what about when peach gets naked in paper mario: the 1,000 year door? she actually has to take all her clothes off in one segment. she drank an invisibility potion so you can't actually see her, but still it's implied, and rather disturbing for a children's game.

the shroobs manage to travel to Mario's original world and start invading earth, the first country they invade is the United States of America, the invasion starts in New York City, the U.S first response is the police dispatching all available units and helicopters as well as multiple S.W.A.T units intense fighting will ensue. news of the invasion reach civilians, wich either activates state millias all arround the U.S and street gangs will try and hold the shroobs out of their streets and territory, forcing them to ally with the law enforcement or/and other gangs. a few hours pass and the first signs of U.S Military response start to show up, most of new york is occupied and Shroob UFO fighter-bombers bombard civilian locations and remaining resistance in occupied areas. but heavy resistance from the U.S military starts. large numbers of american fighters arrive at the scene and start engaging the shroob ufos. shroobs aircrafts, stand no chance again'st Air-to-air missiles as there are no signs that they have any sort of counter-measure and the air advantage is quickly lost but not without the US taking some casualties, airborne units starts parachuting both inside and outside the occupied areas, either behind "friendly" lines and enemy lines. the USAF starts CAS missions. the Shroobs visibly not equiped with efficient protection again'st projectiles such as bullets as bullets (Bullet bill does not count) do not exist in their world. but their weaponry could make some heavy damage. the shroobs also lack infantry support equipement, without any anti-tank weaponry, anti-aircraft weaponry or any armored vehicles, only their large numbers are allowing them to hold their territory. a day pass and large numbers of U.S troops arrive with armored divisions. the shroob's main weapons can damage an american M1A2 Abrams tank but it would take several hits to criticaly damage it. lack of armor, non existant shroob anti armor weapons makes the shroobs very reliant on reinforcements. after a while, with more and more U.S and NATO reinforcements, the americans push back the shroob all the way to their entry point, meanwhile the Navy is chilling near NYC. the american military and it's allies starts invading the mushroom kingdom after months of war, a fairly large part of the kingdom is mostly in human's hands, the american military rescues some of the mario crew including mario and baby mario, luigi is found alongside baby luigi but they lost their minds, mario gives important intel on the Shroobs wich helps the human invasion force. after a year of war, the entirety of the mario crew alongside Bowser Jr., is liberated and the kingdom is liberated MK's scientists work with american engineers to build a superportal to carry nukes and warships to the MK's waters. american nukes carried to the MK are modified by mushroom scientists to be able to be launched at shroob's home world, a total of 1000 nukes are launched. after years of war, the nukes reach and the shroob's world falls under a nuclear winter. with no more home, scarce supplies and repeated strikes again'st them, remaining shroob forces surrender and the MK joins NATO (yep) and becomes a powerhouse. tge MK is rebuilding. a process taking years. but it is liberated. millions of MK civilians died. millions of Shroobs died. over 500 000 americans died. but the shroob is defeated.

My brothers friends and our cousins were playing out side and we were playing with do you know dose ball's that are not ok to use by kid's but are usd by kid's but still play with even though its dangerous to play yeah we had that ball anyway sorry to sound old but the boys were playing extremely rough and violent with us females and my eldest cousin throws the ball and p.s the other boys pitch in thinking its funny and thats how all three of us got so badly hurt anyway they missed the post and the balls end's up hitting me my female second eldest cousin and my big sister now to get to the juice bit i can scream the longest my big sisters scream can be heard from a good distance and my second eldest cousin can scream the loudest and you and imagine how that played out we came in screaming crying and we still have the marks to prove it

My Disturbing moment (for me) is when I fought the piano, I actually dropped my DS when it started chomping. I never played the mansion lvl's again cuz i let my sis play those lvl's.

Well, it implies that luigi died of fright, due to his solid white eyes, and the huge tombstone behind him. and the bags under his eyes implies his soul can't find rest after being unable to save Mario.
Could also have been a developer version of stress, as they still had enough room to store it in the files, and the devs felt that if the game failed or there was empty space, they'd be haunted by it forever.

Adding on to last disturbing scene: imagine they would have kept most of the beta elements. The losing scene, the clock feature (basically you have to save Mario before a certain time, or else it's game over) etc. Imagine how much you'd hurry yourself up to save Mario before looking at depressed Luigi!

what's especially terrifying with luigis mansion in regards to that game over look is that it actually exists in the game.
another channel (i think it was boundary break) showed that luigi had an unused animation for being poisoned, in it he periodically makes that same dark eyed expression while struggling.

yikes that's so true and yet it takes the joy out of Mario games. I'm pretty sure there's more games out there that has something in it that we missed.
This may be insane but i believe that depressed luigi and hanging shadow are linked
Think about it luigi is depressed and he hangs him self to get out of his misery
So that means luigis mansion takes place in the far future which is why luigi and mario and still alive in future games

It may just be me, but I'm surprised that Mario's cries for help in Luigi's Mansion when you walked around outside wasn't here. I don't know about anyone else, but I remember getting chills every time I walked past the well outside or when you actually climbed down and saw him beating on the painting then Luigi reaching out for him.
