Baby Wario, Shadow Mario (someone else did simply find the brush and became him), Stanley and Mc Ballyhoo deserve it too! At least they should use Mc Ballyhoo in the Odyssey DLC or sequel, he is the perfect fit!

Orian Stephens that’s not right. Cosmic Mario is an entirely different character, created from a cosmic comet. Bowser.Jr is even in the game.

Stanley the Bug Man has a very miniscule cameo as Game and Watch's Jab in Smash Bros.
Honestly, before watching this video, i had no idea who TF Stanley The Bug Man was 😂 and it’s been what 36 years now?
It really bothers me that Nintendo are really, REALLY scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of playable characters in Mario tennis aces, Mario kart, and Mario party with generic, weird, and dull basic enemy characters, when the barrel is actually still full.
Agreed! I mean it's fine if people enjoy playing as these smaller characters, it is pretty cool, but there's so many bigger characters who could be in their place!

Nintendo's ignorance of their amazing cast of Mario RPG characters aside, they still have a lot to work with in terms of mainline characters. Off the top of my head, they could use Nabbit, E.Gadd, Pauline, Toadsworth, Kamek even. A lot of these are pretty impotant characters, and seeing them absent yet seeing Spike, Blooper, (that squid has no business playing tennis) and a freaking Goomba, makes me very disappointed.

Classic Sonic Talk about ignorance, then defending Nintendo's piss-poor restricting of great characters to relatively obscure games. No, RPG characters shouldn't be any different case. Geno would've fit perfectly in the Square-Enix Mario Sports games and there's nothing stopping them from using M&L or Paper Mario characters like they used to experiment with once in a while with Star Spirits and Goomba King. But they never full-on accepted them and they really should. I absolutely hate how so many people love to jump in and say bullshit like "no they should stay niche they aren't real mario characters"
Classic Sonic Are Goomba and stuff not good examples of generic characters? If you want another example look at all the babies, and metal/costume characters in Mario kart. The NON MARIO characters are the most interesting newcomers to Mario kart, and that really feels wrong.
Although I personally would love to see Nintendo use their Mario RPG characters, the point I'm trying to make is that even if Nintendo don't want to use them, (it's within their right not to, although it would be an easy fix to the dull character problem) they still have plenty of varied options in mainstream Mario to pick from, like the people I listed, before they start resorting to generic enemies.

Goomba is a great playable character. Sure there’s better characters as far as custom dice goes (why I love daisy even more now) but the way he headbutts where everyone else punches is hysterically pleasing.

Seeing Mc Ballyhoo in the thumbnail I got soooo excited. I would play Mario Party 8 all the time growing up (I was only three when it was released!), and I used to make his weird character noises with him.

Tbh MC Ballyhoo reminds me of Cappy and in general the Bonneton habitants. I feel like he would’ve been a really cool NPC in Odyssey.
I love games where Goomba is playable. He one of the first characters I think of when I think of Mario. Goombas are in nearly every Mario game, and are normally the very first enemy you run into.

One of the reasons I loved Mario Party 8 is because of MC Ballyhoo & Big Top.
Mario Party 8 is a Carnival-based party game, and it needs a host with lively personality, always engaged, good at making humors, or able to cheer up even in the worst moments.
MC Ballyhoo & Big Top perfectly fits that job. They are the ones who makes Mario Party 8 a fun and engaging game. Motion Controls aside, they make it one of the best games I've played on Wii and part of my childhood.

Stanley is teeeeeechnically playable in Smash Ultimate, in a since, at lease. Since he gets spammed a lot, I become reminded of him quite frequently.

What about those characters that have been outright officially disowned from the "Mario family," those being every single character introduced in the first 3 Paper Mario games. Also what about Robo Mario, a really cool design for a robotic Mario who appeared in the arcade Mario Kart games but apparently isn't as interesting as Mario-with-a-metal-skin according to Nintendo.

Only in Paper Jam, and that was a post-Sticker Star game that also avoided M&L series characters for the sake of being overly simple and devoid of fanservice to the type of game it was. The original Paper Mario games were just Mario games in a pop-up storybook style. They are still Mario characters.
Even Toadsworth has been disowned and he isn't even a Paper Mario character.

Just to add to your argument before anyone else tries to throw the “games can be retconned” card, I want to point out that they had a perfect opportunity to remove the Paper Mario block from the nostalgia room in Bowser’s Minions, but they did not, proving that the original trilogy is still considered canonical to Mario and Luigi.
Listen well fawfulthegreat64, haven't you seen the videos of SuperMarioT about why Paper Mario Changed and the other vídeos he makes about if Paper Mario can return to form con switch. Oh and another thing, this simplification was because Tanabe is a jerk and he misunderstood Miyamoto in the characters part so calm down and playa other Nintendo titles like Xenoblade or Kirby, you Morón.

I agree that Shadow Mario is underutilized. Maybe... it's because Metal Mario (who I love, incidentally) came back in Mario Kart 7 and it would be redundant to have three Marios in the same games (then again, there's the example of Mario Kart 8..).
I like MC Ballyhoo. He and Big Top were very distinct and fun hosts of Mario Party 8. To be frank, I would like them to host Super Mario Party and let Toad and Toadette be playable again.
I don't understand how Lubba was forgotten after Galaxy 2. While that's my least favorite 3D Mario, Super Mario Galaxy 2 felt fun with Lubba's lovable, wisecracking personality. Lubba could have been playable in a Mario spin-off game after his debut to keep him somewhat alive...
As for Baby Wario, he and Baby Bowser should pop up in at least one Mario sports game. I imagine they can make him work in 3D. Baby Bowser _does_ look a lot like Bowser Jr. (and my favorite character Koopa Kid), but it'd be neat to have them coexist.
I also wouldn't object to seeing Wart and Tatanga come back...

Mario party 8 was the best mario party ever! That final boss minigame against bowser was awesome! You could charge up the blast with the star rod and even hold it for a dramatic final attack. It was a shame there was only one type of final boss minigame.

Man Brighton and Twila were my childhood and I for one think their designs are awesome. I mean come on, they’re LITERALLY the sun and moon, surely it’d be pretty easy to fit them into the plot of of a Mario RPG game.
The only Mario parties I've even seen gameplay of are 3,4,6,9, and 10. And I love 6, the mic, and the minigames are the best.
