Hi mate, hope you are doing well, currently on holiday and I brought my fire stick with me I don’t have a remote as I lost it a few years ago but normally i just set up this on the TV but it seems to not be working does it have to be in HDMI 1 or can it be in HDMI 2 or 3 as I only have access to 3 right now
Difficult to say. The HDMI needs to support the ARC option so the remote from TV can control whatever device is connected. Usually (but not always) it will ne HDMI 1 . Hope helps. Please do like this video and subscribe as really helps us.
Sadly, the buttons are preassigned and you cannot map them across. Do keep trying the backbutton or other buttons, as different TVs have different configurations options. Hi I lost actual Tv 📺 remote & had firestick remote. on turining on tv Iam seeing light grey screen and also prompt to select HDMI port Yes or No. But I dont have actual tv remote
My LG remote stopped controlling my Firestick today. I've tried this video, I've rebooted the Firestick, I've changed the batteries, I've tried adding the remote as a new remote. Nothing is working - any thoughts?
Same issue. Remote just decided one day not to control fire stick after having multiple issues with fire stick remote. All settings required turned on but still doesn’t work

Can’t even get to my firestick!! Did for a min, but same path isn’t working. HDMI isn’t highlighted it’s lite grey , can’t click on it.

I have both CEC connections on firestick and LG tv on but still doesn't work.
U need it to be connected to wifi
