Dear Nikola Tomic, there is no shortcut directly on the remote, but if you have a 2020 (webOS5.0) or later TV model, you can add a shortcut to Screen Off in the Quick Settings menu (the menu which appears when you shortly press the settings button on the remote). For example if your TV is in Dolby Vision HDR mode and you change advanced settings, these changes only apply within the Dolby Vision HDR mode. Hello, i need help, my LG smart tv started loosing connection with the magic remote. It became hard to scroll or select OK button but all other buttons work. The wifi and bluetooth no longer work.I tried to reset the remote control by pressing the Home and settings buttons and since then it has never reconnected. When i press other buttons like the mic button it prompts me to press the ok button/ wheel button to pair the magic remote but when i press it nothing happens. I tried the remote with another LG TV and they paired. How would you help.
The new system has some issues... 1- the Home just opens in full screen except when Tv turns on for some seconds, i prefer this short version insted of fullscreen...maybe an option to change between them is a good one. 2- the shortcut app buttons on controller like globoplay, netflix, etc.. FORCES to install the app if is not installed, and has no way to break this operation so any miss click on this bittons takes off the app or channel then takes a time to uninstall fron TV again... A solution is a confirmation to instal the desired app or the option to change the app to open on this buttons. 3- the sugestion contents sometimes sucks, this causes Tv startup to be more slowly... There might be a way to disable this.

Do you have any idea why voice control is not allowing me to change tv channels? When I try to change channel with voice control, a pop up message appears every time which says I have to set my postcode. If you already have the latest Magic Remote, there is nothing to do about this, but be aware that the OK/scroll button on the latest Magic Remote has been improved compared to older Magic Remote models. you could try the remote control screen in the LG phone app, just a tap. You could get a little wireless charging phone stand. Then turn off sleep/screensaver/auto-lock screen on your phone. Open the app before you watch TV so its always open beside you while you're watching TV. Of course, you can also use voice commands with the magic remote's microphone button, or buy a cheap Echo to use for voice control. Useful for volume control when you're in another room. You might be able to literally verbatim tell magic remote microphone button to "press OK", I haven't conformed this. Remember to google the question, many other peeps also have this issue with wobbly fingers.

LG doesn't let you do that because even though you paid for your TV and remote... companies they partnered with gave them money or some incentive for that spot. And they don't really care about consumer experience, they know you'll be forced to buy from them or their competitors where they agree to do the same scummy practices.

I would like to suggest lg that - make the wheel usable only for making video up down and give adjacent button to push/play/ok. That wheel gets break always or sometimes or the other. So my remote wheel was broken then i did a small whole besides wheel and put in a whole a small plastic stick in a way that can't be easily moved, for pressing ok button. Now without wheel I am using remote finely.

if it's on a Live TV Channel, then its behaves just like an over the air signal antenna on your roof- only your roof is in another city, and streamed to you second by second over the interweb live, just like your antenna, and so can't be paused.

The „three dots“ menu is awfully designed… the most used options like switching audio track and subtitles are placed on the very bottom with no way to edit the order. Further there's no „go back“ option so for each setting one needs to recall the menu. To say something good, I like the option to switch on/off virtually any remote controllable device like a stereo with the magic remote. Setting this up is awkward but once set works flawlessly (the corresponding option appears in the three dots menu).

On one of your streaming apps, like SLING, TH-cam, etc. you have options of using a DVR in their cloud. Works quite well. Youj get a certain amouint free on SLING. For a snall fee you can extend the time a lot.

It should be possible to have lights on the buttons when you are in a dark mode to see what you are pressing at least for 10 seconds or so

if it's on a Live TV Channel, then its behaves just like an over the air signal antenna on your roof- only your roof is in another city, and streamed to you second by second over the interweb live, just like your antenna, and so can't be paused.

The „three dots“ menu is awfully designed… the most used options like switching audio track and subtitles are placed on the very bottom with no way to edit the order. Further there's no „go back“ option so for each setting one needs to recall the menu. To say something good, I like the option to switch on/off virtually any remote controllable device like a stereo with the magic remote. Setting this up is awkward but once set works flawlessly (the corresponding option appears in the three dots menu).

On one of your streaming apps, like SLING, TH-cam, etc. you have options of using a DVR in their cloud. Works quite well. Youj get a certain amouint free on SLING. For a snall fee you can extend the time a lot.

For instance the first 10% of youtube videos are often filler/intro stuff.
Or sometimes I had alrready seen the first half of a video, and I want to jump to the mid way, so I could simply click "5" to jump there.
This is an existing feature on desktop youtube for instance.

Go to the All Settings menu. Select General > System > Additional Settings > Home Settings
Switch off 'Home Promotion' and switch off Content Recommendation

Dear Dude, there is no 'one button' option for this. The quickest way is to shortly press the settings button (the Quick Settings button appear), then select the Sound button to change the sound output.
