I've never had an Australian whiskey (I live in Wisconsin, and I'm pretty sure the only one I have even seen is Starward) but I enjoy seeing your take on your local distillates (as well as your reviews on Scotch, Bourbon, etc.) despite the language barrier. Or, to use your local vernacular, ahem: "I reckon ya do a bonza job, fawr an 'ssie. Fair dinkum mate." ;)
@@bfegypt13 the Nova is their entry level, though it’s aged in Australian red wine casks so it’s probably still quite different to what’s on the US market.
Did you get it out of your system 🤣 Nice one Nath I enjoyed this review. I love high abv rye whisky and these ones sound interesting albeit a bit expensive. Cheers!
Thanks, I never get corny jokes and bad puns out of my system 🤪 These ryes certainly aren't cheap, but they're still not that expensive by Australian standards. With very few exceptions, most decent Australian single malts start at about $100-150 when sold here.
I'm curious to try more non-American rye whiskeys... here in the states they can be hard to find, but i'm going to be keeping my eye out.
I believe Archie Rose are working to get into the US market, if they’re not already there.

Ha ha, thanks mate. What Starward expressions do you get over there? Some of their special releases are pretty nice.
@@thewhiskyscribe the only one I know I've seen is the Starward Nova. Next trip to the bottle-o I'll take a gander at what's what.
