    I’ve thrown my Raider in back of my pickup for 9 months so far!

      I know a lot of people do it. I can't, it's too big and heavy. Whoops my butt! Hahahaha 🤣

    The shallow side gunnels are the #1 and only con I have on my Raider

      I've got a new accessory that may help solve the rod storage issue. I've got some hardware to buy then I'll be posting a video for that. Stay tuned 😄

      @@yakkittymack That is the #1 complaint on the Raiders, seems like such an easy fix for the company 🤷‍♂️

    Another great video. What state are you in, love the lakes you fish in.

      Thank you so much! I'm in southern Alabama about 40 miles north of Gulf Shores. Most of the lakes are actually large coves (for lack of a better word) off of rivers. The delta river system is within a 15 minute drive for me. Very different from the reservoirs in Indiana. Thanks again for watching. Means a lot to me!

      @robertwhee1 love me some Tennessee! Wife and I stayed at a bed and breakfast about 40 minutes east of Nashville a couple of months ago. Absolutely beautiful!

    When you went on about putting marine sealant on the boat where the two shells meet, did you take the entire boat apart and then put it together? Or did you just apply it to the liner that goes around the joint? As for the lack of scrupper hole I've seen a lot of people just install one where there is a clear indentation for one. seems to work out pretty fine.
    I've been playing around with the idea of this boat for a while since it's normally myself alone on a fishing trip, and it seems like a fun little boat to just go "screw it" and take to a fishing trip on a weekend somewhere.
    Also another question- do you store it indoors or outdoors?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, welcome and thanks for the question. I did not take the boat apart. It's glued together and there are like a gazillion staples connecting it. There is edging that goes around the seam and I simply put the sealant around the edging. The main point is to minimize the chances of water getting in there, especially from waves or rain. Which brings me to your second question, I store the boat outside on the trailer with a quality cover on it at all times. Here in the south the rain comes down hard and the cover keeps the boat completely dry.

      @@yakkittymack Thanks for the answers man! I appreciate it. It certainly seems like a fun project to work on over the winter when I finally have the space to store it.

      @@Triffleman7 you are welcome. And it is a fun project to play with. In fact, I took mine out this morning and fished from the back so I could get a better idea of what it is like for people that come with me. Had my wife run the trolling motor and what I learned was I need to move the seat position and the battery. In fact, I literally just ordered the cable extensions. I'll be posting that video once I complete the mods. Can't wait to hear how your experience goes once you take the plunge!

    Do you have a video of the sealing to keep the water out of the hull?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kevinf4606 unfortunately I do not. I used a marine sealant in a tube, and I just gently pulled on the edging and laid a bead on the top side, then flipped it over and did the same on the underside.

    Will the bass raider 10e fit into the back of a toyota tacoma?

      Hello - I'm not sure about the bed size of a Tacoma, but yes, it fits between the wheel wells in most truck beds.

    What is the difference between the 10e and the NXT?

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello there! Very little actually. The biggest difference between the two is the NXT has a much better (more comfortable) seat and the color scheme is a bit more modern dark grey on light grey. Other than that, they are the same exact boat. The seats really make a difference if you'll be on the water for any length of time. They are a mesh material so they allow air to flow, much like a kayak seat. Pelican calls them the Ergo360. Hope that helps!

    • @SnaponVan1
      @SnaponVan1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yakkittymack That does actually thank you. I have had a 10e since 2017 and haven’t used it much at all. I’m selling my Vibe kayak and outfitting the 10e to replace it.

    • @yakkittymack
      @yakkittymack  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My first kayak was a Vibe, I still have it actually but haven't used it since I got the Old Town. You can buy the Ergo360 seats and that will basically make your 10e an NXT. Just the color will be different.
