Very nice setup!! So simple, yet effective. I've seen so many videos and yours is one of the best!! Thank you sir! Video deserves more likes.
@rickortega9167 that's an awesome compliment! Thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. 👍
Well done! I'm "in the market" for one of these small boats. Been trying to decide between the "Bass pro pond prowler" or the "Bass Raider". I am leaning more and more to the Bass Raider. Your videos are helping.😄New Sub here.
@DoubleMFarmHomestead thank you for the kind words! I started this channel because I found it hard to find good reviews on things, so it makes me feel good that you find some value in my efforts. The Bass Raider is a great little boat and I imagine the Prowler is too. Whatever boat you choose, you are going to modify it because they are very basic. You'll probably find a lot more information on modifying the Bass Raider and more ideas for your own. Thank you for becoming a subscriber, I appreciate you! Let me know when you get your boat... regardless of which one.
Hey! I'm a new subscriber. I love this video! This is amazing! Love your content! Great job! You're awesome!
@jerryboith866 thank you very much! It certainly feels good to know that you enjoyed the content 😊 I appreciate you watching and subscribing! Hopefully I won't disappoint 🤞
WOW, amazing videos and very good explation of how you have it setup. I have one like yours but still trying to figure out best storage configuration..keep up the good work.
@robertwhee1 thank you for the kind words! I think part of the fun of these little boats is going to be the neverending quest to make it just a little bit better. Every time I take it out, I think of something else I want to try. 😆 I'm glad you enjoyed the videos and I appreciate you subscribing! Tight lines my friend!!
Great video with loads of food for thought. And you ha e thought it out very well. Keep them coming.and tight lines 👍
@davidgiff2204 Thank you for that feedback! I appreciate it. I'm kinda obsessed with trying to make sure the fishing experience is as good as possible. In fact, I'm in the process of putting together a video where I fished from the back seat to better understand the guest experience and what I learned is causing me to modify the setup some. Waiting on a couple of items to arrive and then I'll post it. Tight lines my friend!
Sounds excellent look forward to seeing it. Different setups act differently. Have a porta bote 14ft and depending how it's setup etc the boat acts differently. I've found I need o change depending on what and who's in the boat. Keep safe and tight lines.
I troll and fish from the front also. I find it easier to control. I always try to put the rear fisherman in the 1st, best spot, just my courteous southern roots 😁
That's too cool. I was the back of the boat guy for a while and was always fishing the leftover spots. So when I finally got my own boat, I make sure I don't do the same thing to others.
Very nice
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching and commenting.
I got the bass hunter 120 fin to do some upgrades if you got any more ideas please share and thanks
@@deshawnbaker5992 I have a couple of other videos on the Bass Raider, if you haven't watched those yet, there might be some useful ideas. Thanks again!
So I bought a used one and it had some rails screwed in with cup holders and vertical rod holders. I just bought some of those bungee cords that are a loop with a plastic ball. I can run it around the rods and around the rails to keep them from falling in the water.
@tjlastname5192 that'll work too! In all honesty, if there was a way to mount horizontal raised on the side railing, that would be ideal for me. BTW, did you end up getting a gas motor?
@@yakkittymack that’s what it has. They just screwed in the railing along the sidesI, it did come with a gas motor.
I have a bass raider too just haven’t been able to get the time to use it with life stuff and work.
I am still doing some mods to it myself to make it the way I want it. I just slide mine in my truck but was wondering what trailer do you use for your bass raider ?
I hit the like and subscribed .
Thanks
Hey there, thank you for subscribing. I just used a typical aluminum jon boat style trailer but I removed the bunks and replaced with a piece of marine plywood covered in outdoor carpet. I wish I could attach pics in the reply, but that function isn't available. I can honestly say if I didn't have the trailer, I wouldn't have the boat. No way I would slide that in and out of a truck bed. Too big and heavy. I'll put a link to the trailer I have in the description.
Thanks
You're welcome. I have plans in the near future to make a video of the trailer makeover for both the bass raider and my kayak, very different setups.
@@yakkittymack I would also be very interested to learn about the trailer situation. Looks like a great setup and you do a good job communicating the details about it clearly!
@jasonm1884 Thank you! I really do appreciate your kindness. I will absolutely try to make the trailer video this weekend and hopefully have it posted by Monday. Weather is supposed to be perfect so I'm gonna give it a go.
I peeped the pee jug. I take one out when I'm on my kayak.
@drjekelmrhyde good eye! I also keep one on my yak. At my age I can't go more than a couple of hours without using it 😂 thanks for watching friend!
Where you get those seats?
Hello and thank you for watching. Those seats are called the Ergo 360 and they are made by Pelican. Since my boat is the NXT, it came with the upgraded seats. You can order them online for about $110 each. They are very comfortable. @rhettjackson3965
@@yakkittymack thanks. I have an old one. I’ll check them out.
What seats.?
@davidsettle8456 those are the Pelican Ergo 360. They come standard on the Raider 10NXT, however, they also fit the 10E and can be ordered from Pelican or Amazon. Thank you for watching!
What is the floor you have?
Hello - I just bought a sheet of marine plywood, cut it to size, and covered in outdoor carpet. It really makes the floor level and safer to move around on. I didn't go real heavy on the plywood, 3/8 maybe? I don't remember, but all you need is something to make the bottom level instead of the plastic ridges. For added protection from water I coated in Thompson water seal before I attached the carpet. Thank you for watching and I hope this helps.
@@yakkittymack Thanks.
Awesome rig
