It's not irritating on my eyes or skin at all and just leaves my skin feeling good! One thing to note is I don't wear make up so I'm not sure how good it is at removing it, but I would definitely recommend it regardless!
I had the same experience with tatcha. I do appreciate your honesty. I truly believe that we have the same skin reactivity. I can vouch that green clean cleansing balm is the most efficient cleansing balm and make-up remover. The formulation is wonderful. The water solubility of polyethylene is a good indicator that it is easily compostable, but the availability of it in our sewer system and increased concentrations is what raises my concern. Thank you!
Oh my gosh the whole video I was just thinking, “please bless us by creating a cleansing oil/balm”. We would all buy that in a heartbeat 😊 I would love to see a cleansing oil/balm or a night cream from Krave Beauty in the near future!
Stephanie Chua i feel like the farmacy green clean didnt really give me a deep clean like the heimish one does! I have oily combo skin so at the end of the day i always need a really good oil cleanse to get the junk out of my pores but the farmacy one didnt really do that for me. My skin texture became really bumpy + i got a few breakouts as well.. the heimish is my holy grail!! But im trying to branch out too, thats why i clicked on this video hahaha ☺️
I swear by hada labo's cleansing oil. It's light, efficient and affordable. Plus you can buy refills instead of purchasing a new container every time. Yay to less waste
I think the latest Banila Co CIZ cleansing balms omit polyethylene, so that’s great! I have two of their limited edition versions! 😂 but I still hold the Klairs C/O dear to me bc it cleans off waterproof makeup w/o stinging my eyes and deep cleanses my pores well. 🥰 the only caveat being that I need to use a konjac sponge with it or else it does leave a “moisture film” 😅
Eva B oof, sorry to hear that! 😣 pls do use a lip&eye makeup remover before oil cleansing with the Banila Co if that’s the case!! if you mean second cleanser, I alternate a lot. 😅 but The Vegan Glow Mild Foam Cleanser is a gentle one! 💚
p r a t i k s h a ミ imo, nope! should go away fine after a second cleanse, but maybe with a face wash with a bit more cleansing power (if that makes sense?) - eg. with the Klairs C/O, I like using my Naruko AMPM Wakeup Skin Smooth Washing Powder! it’s a gentle powder cleanser with mild foam a lil physical exfoliation 😬 (equivalent to konjac sponge abilities)
I straight up use jojoba oil on my skin, it is heavy and does leave greassy feel but that's why I do 2nd cleanse. Didn't give me any problem with my skin. It is also so cheap
I love the Hanskin PHA cleansing oil, have repurchased multiple times. Another favourite of mine is the Innisfree Olive Real Cleansing Oil. I also generally prefer cleansing oils than balms.
Tip for my fellow dry skin people...the physician formula balm was a lot more nourishing than the farmacy balm. I highly recommend you go with that one instead!
My go-to makeup remover is heimish all clean balm. The performance is so good when it comes to such a low price that it charges. It also emulsifies really easy, doesn't leave any greasy at all
Chingsom Ningthemchamayum I don’t think Krave is the kind of brand who would stick with one ingredient to abuse the trend and sell a lot. Like every single brand is adding Cica in every products. So far she has Beet for sunscreen, matcha for cleanser, oat for cream and tamanu for serum. I think she would rather be creative and choose something that hasn’t been used.
I've been really enjoying the I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm since I went through my Farmacy Green Clean jumbo. It feels really smooth on my skin and has a very delicate/pretty floral scent. It's on the same level as Farmacy for me. Also, I'm excited to try the new Glow recipe one
ooo i’ve been loving the i’m from mugwort essence. (currently on the fence on the mugwort mask) I got some of the honey line as a trial and really liked it but have so many like serums and moisturizers that i couldn’t justify buying more LOL. might give the fig line a try as well once i’m done with some other stuff. Have you tried any other from the brand ?
@@SceneeMuffin I've tried the mugwort essence and mask, vitamin tree water gel and the honey mask. Honestly the only ones I liked were the mugwort essence, mask, and now the fig balm. I'd also recommend the missha Artemisia essence over the I'm from one since it's about half the price, more fermented and a bit lighter for my oily/combo skin.
You have to try the Rafra Orange cleansing balm - polyethylene free, smells exactly like fresh oranges (not orange fragrance) and warms up slightly when you rub it into your face. Works perfectly to take off all your makeup. I’ve tried most of the ones you recommended and this has to be my favourite! I also like the Elemis cleansing balms - the original smells like a spa experience and the Rose also smells gorgeous. They’re also super effective!
Hi Liah! If you haven't already, could you make a video about the key differnces between old and young skin types? In terms of how they absorb the products or what key ingredients work for each age group? ❤️ Your videos!
Just want to throw in my two cents that I LOVE the Then I Met You cleansing balm. Experience wise, it has the most luxurious feel and it's the only balm that doesn't make my skin feel stripped. It doesn't take off every little thing, but I double cleanse anyway with the Krave cleanser. These two are my HG removers/cleansers :)
Liah you are the only person that I trust, Please do the best and worst of moisturizers version, for all the skin types please 😭🙏 I seriously find it very hard to find the best moisturizer
Omg I’m so glad I watched this! I got the hanskin oil cleanser and it is absolutely amazing! It goes on so nicely and smoothly on the skin. Completely removes my foundation and most important, it doesn’t break me out! Yay thank you Liah!!
I should have listened to you about the Inkey Lisy Cleansing Balm, Liah! It never removes my tinted sunscreen much at all as a pre-cleanse. I find that the residue it leaves behind needs a much stronger cleanser than my CeraVe Hydrating, which has been a facepalm realization.
DHC cleansing oil is so stripping on my dry face, got like halfway through a bottle before realizing it was causing my skin dehydration. It dissolves makeup really quickly though and I never had to use a second cleanser. Before, I was using Derma E Rose cleansing oil with a second cleanser. Much more time consuming but zero irritation for me. Looking forward to trying the Physician's Formula!
Liah! I was just watching some of your old videos and I was wondering if you'd ever consider making a video on how to "listen" to your skin. I have a "regiment" and it's never crossed my mind to switch products day to day depending on what your skin needs. How do you make that call? What do you look for on your skin and how long would you temporarily switch for before you switch back or to something else?
Another affordable balm that works really well is the Cleansing Balm from Good Molecules! The only downside is that it has fragrance, but it really gets the job done and is pretty affordable @ $15! I also love the neutrogena cleansing oil, it’s only like $8 and I’ve been using it for months!! Slight scent but neither products have irritated my skin, eyes, or clogged my pores or anything, I have acne-prone, combo skin :)
I used the Versed cleansing balm and did not like it all, I have normal skin. The moment I would wash it off I did feel a plastic/waxy film on my skin and was really concerned about it clogging my pores. I also felt it lacked in performance when it came to removing simply my sunscreen because of the formula, if it was improved I would give it a shot. However for now I’m very happy with the Burt’s Bee’s cleaning balm. It does the job very well.
One I’ve been particularly shocked by is the Hada Labo Cleansing Oil. Nothing leaves my skin drier than this cleanser - a trait I find shocking for an oil. Sad stuff. I now only use it to get sunscreen off my legs & ankles.
Hi Liah! I’ve tried only 3 different cleansing balms: Banila Co Clean it Zero, Farmacy Green Clean, and Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm. Texture and scent wise I love the Farmacy one the most, but sadly it stings my eyes so much that in the morning I will have eye boogers from the residue 😂. The Banila Co is OK but it leaves my eyes with some kind of film that my vision will blur out for a while. My favorite one is from the Good Molecules, it is by far the most gentle, non-irritating, does not make my eyes blurred, and it does the job well 💙
I loved this. Thanks. I adore the physicians formula Cleansing balm. It works amazing for me. I love krave beauty products too. Especially the beet shield.
Question for anyone in the comments: how do you recommend removing eye makeup? Do you use cleansing oil or balm to remove eyeshadow , liner, and mascara or do you use a separate eye makeup remover? I’m trying to figure out the best way to do it that will give the least amount of irritation to my eyes
Hi, a micellar water should do the trick. Make sure it is fragrance free and use cottons rounds to remove. I recommended taking two cotton rounds and letting them sit on your eye to break down the eye product, and then gently swipe to remove. Paulas choice has a good one and Bioderma is the one I use. Hope this helps ❤️
Hello Liah! I am so glad I found your channel. I learned so much about my oily dehydrated skin. Before you, I didn't even know what I was dealing with let alone how to deal with it. Thank you so much! While I am trying to find a product that is for me, I was wondering if you can do a dedicated video about what symptoms or what it would look like if a product is not working for that skin? People mention about purge period and etc, but I want to be able to differentiate the difference between "getting used to a new product" vs "that product is not for me". How long should I give the new product a try and etc. If you could give some example for moisturizer, cleanser, and sun screen, that would be fantastic!
My favorite is DHC deep cleansing oil! It gets rid of my makeup with no fuss and rinses off beautifully! I would only try a different oil/balm if you make one cuz everything u make is so thoughtful and amazing.
Totally agree..!!👏👏 The Inky List Oatmeal Cleanser did not remove my make up at all and left a difficult thick oily film to wash off with a second (and a third) cleanse. Awful..! 😣 I don't get the people's fuziness towards this product..! 🤔 The PF, Matcha Cleansing Balm irritated my skin, I think it was bcause of the fragrance 🤷♀️. Favorites are Banila Co (pink one), HadaLabo Cleansing Oil (try it if you haven't), Clinique (either cleansing balm/oil❤), Naturium & Farmacy. These last are excellent for my frickin sensitive skin..!
The farmacy balm didn’t really take off all my makeup; I still had mascara and makeup on my eyes, even after working it in and emulsifying it. For the price that it was, I would not recommend it
Me too! Everyone always raves about it but I don’t get the hype. You need a lot of product to really get everything off + it feels drying on the skin and it’s too expensive for a little amount smh…
I’ve been waiting cleansing balm from krave beauty. Hope it will sensitive skin friendly ingredients, like no fancy essential oil, cloged pores ingredients like ethylhexy palmitate, etc 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
the most informative video ever on oil cleansers! with all the pricing, liah score, polyethylene, fragrance, eye irritation, etc! surprised that DHC cleansing balm wasn't in this video. that one is my ultimate fave! or the banila co cleansing balm which i enjoy as well. thank you liah! enjoy your videos as always :) will be looking forward to your south korea quarantine vlog!
Can’t wait to see if Krave Beauty comes out with an oil cleanser similar in texture to the Tatcha one which is one of my all times faves, I like the Hado Labo cleansing oil, the DHC one & I do have sensitive acne prone skin. 💓 I just prefer cleansing oils instead of balms bit when I did use them I used the Clinique. I always do a little bit of gentle micellar water to Loosen up my makeup & I always always always go in afterwards with a double cleanse with my cleanser.
I'm surprised that Banila's Clean It Zero didn't make it to the list 😯 It's my holy grail product because it cleans off make up really well and leaves my skin feeling hydrated afterwards! 💕
Thank you so much for this video!! I've been looking for a new oil cleanser to double cleanse with. Given that there are so many interesting non-balm Korean oil cleansers (Neogen, Klairs, Purito, etc.), I'd love to know a few of your fave oil cleansers for daily use 🥰🤗
Hanskin is my fav cleansing oil for daily. Now when Melbourne is still locked down, I can use this as my facial massage for 1 hour while watching movie or youtube before washing my face and I can see all the dirt and sebum after massaging (even I am 24/7 at home). I don’t wear makeup frequently, maybe couple times a year only during special occasions. And when I remove my makeup, I am always haunted by the idea that I might not cleanse my skin clean enough. So normally I may do triple or even quadruple cleansing: eyes/lip remove and general facial remove by micelle water, then cleansing balm, then cleansing oil and normal cleanser and wipe at the end with micelle lotion to ensure no residue of oil and make up. I know it’s quite too much but because I don’t wear make up that often so maybe that’s why my skin is not too irritated. The reason for cleansing oil and cleansing balm is because I use cleansing oil and normal cleansing as my daily routine, whether I wear make up, go out, wear make up not. So micelle water and cleansing balm are my double step for remove makeup and cleansing oil and water based cleansing are my double step for normal cleansing my face! Can’t wait to try new cleansers either balm or oil!!! Ps: but yes, I have tried all different lines of Hanskin including AHA, BHA and PHA. All of them stings my eyes so don’t put it too close to your eyes!

the first cleansing balm i ever used was then i met you. i don’t think it was that great. i have naturally oily and sensitive skin and it broke me out. i think the oil is too thick for my kind of my skin, and it also takes a long long time to wash off. i’m now using banila co and i see the BIG difference. just my two cents
Ive been using my second tub of yadah greentea cleansing balm and its great. Very gentle removes makeup well and is also quite affordable. I think you should give it a try when you get a chance 😊
Hello it’s Me i think it depends on your makeup and your skin! Assuming you’re double cleansing I personally think micellar water with your normal cleanser is fine but when I wear heavier makeup I go in with a balm or oil cleanser, then micellar water on areas with more product, and then my normal cleanser. My skin is dry combo and honestly it just comes down to experimentation and if it feels clean enough or not!

Yes, maybe with her favourite Tamanu oil
Please make a cleansing balm/oil so I can have a one stop shop for all my skincare
Liah, have u ever tried the heimish balm cleanser? I found that i preferred it so much more over the farmacy one
that one is my favorite!
That one's my favorite!
Could you elaborate why? I’ve just finished the heimish and enjoyed it. But thinking of switching things up by trying the farmacy one. ☺️
Stephanie Chua the pharmacy one has plastic in it I heard
Stephanie Chua i feel like the farmacy green clean didnt really give me a deep clean like the heimish one does! I have oily combo skin so at the end of the day i always need a really good oil cleanse to get the junk out of my pores but the farmacy one didnt really do that for me. My skin texture became really bumpy + i got a few breakouts as well.. the heimish is my holy grail!! But im trying to branch out too, thats why i clicked on this video hahaha ☺️
I like the inkey list's oat cleansing balm.. Budget friendly and works well for even sensitive skin types.
I hope KraveBeauty comes out with a cleansing balm/oil someday.. 🙏🏼
Yes, maybe with her favourite Tamanu oil
Perfect timing Liah I was stressing rn trying to pick the best one thank you!!
I swear by hada labo's cleansing oil.
It's light, efficient and affordable.
Plus you can buy refills instead of purchasing a new container every time.
Yay to less waste
Deviant Skincare Cleansing Concentrate is my favorite. Effective, gentle, gorgeous texture, beautiful ingredient list.
Same🥰
What do you think about the caudalie makeup removing cleansing oil?
I think the latest Banila Co CIZ cleansing balms omit polyethylene, so that’s great! I have two of their limited edition versions! 😂 but I still hold the Klairs C/O dear to me bc it cleans off waterproof makeup w/o stinging my eyes and deep cleanses my pores well. 🥰 the only caveat being that I need to use a konjac sponge with it or else it does leave a “moisture film” 😅
which cleanser do you use? the Banila co one stings my eyes so much and literally blinds me lol
Hi, does the klairs cleansing oil still leave a moisture film after the second cleanse with a foaming facewash?
What is a konjac sponge?
I used the clinique cleansing oil first before trying the balm. I chose the balm over the oil because my skin felt cleaner and melts so much better!
My go-to makeup remover is heimish all clean balm. The performance is so good when it comes to such a low price that it charges. It also emulsifies really easy, doesn't leave any greasy at all
I somehave have a feeling that Krave is preparing a kind of make-up remover (with genius twist as Krave always does) in their kitchen 😁
I sure hope so!
Pleaseeeee
Yes, maybe with Liah's favourite Tamanu oil 😆
Chingsom Ningthemchamayum No please
I had a similar experience with Hanskin...my first few weeks I was not a fan, now I cannot stop praising this.
Purchased 1 of everything from Krave beauty and I can’t for it to arrive ❤️
I love their stuff!
I was on the lookout for a new cleansing oil so THANK YOU for this vid!!!
I 👍 all her videos because she just seems like the sweetest person ever!!
Thank you🙌🏼💚💚💚
Omg I’m so glad I watched this!
I always trust your review! I tried a few cleansing balm/oil but the farmacy green clean is still the best in performance.
Can’t wait to try your recs!
I’ve been using the Clinique balm for years and it’s absolutely amazing!
One I’ve been particularly shocked by is the Hada Labo Cleansing Oil. Nothing leaves my skin drier than this cleanser - a trait I find shocking for an oil. Sad stuff. I now only use it to get sunscreen off my legs & ankles.
😯😯😯😟
My favorite one is from the Good Molecules, it is by far the most gentle, non-irritating, does not make my eyes blurred, and it does the job well 💙
Oh wow! Had no idea they had a solid balm. Will check it out 💚
I loved this.
Wow thanks Zudy!
Hi Liah! How about DHC Cleansing Oil? ☺️
The heimish all clean balm is my favourite! I also agree with the other comment about liking it more than the farmacy one.
I hope Krave comes out with their own cleaning oil or balm some day!!!
Yes maybe with her favourite Tamanu oil
The farmacy balm didn’t really take off all my makeup; I still had mascara and makeup on my eyes, even after working it in and emulsifying it. For the price that it was, I would not recommend it
Me too! Everyone always raves about it but I don’t get the hype. You need a lot of product to really get everything off + it feels drying on the skin and it’s too expensive for a little amount smh…
@@shahadalobaid2720 i mean i guess everyone's got different preferences so many may not find it drying for their skin:)
비타민 제품들도 궁금해요~! 요즘 아이오페, 이니스프리 등등에서도 비타민C를 농축해서 만든 앰플이 많이 나오더라구요 라네즈에서도 유도체가 듬뿍 들어간 크림이 나오구요
I’ve been waiting cleansing balm from krave beauty.
Hope it will sensitive skin friendly ingredients, like no fancy essential oil, cloged pores ingredients like ethylhexy palmitate, etc 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Yes, maybe with her favourite Tamanu oil
the most informative video ever on oil cleansers! with all the pricing, liah score, polyethylene, fragrance, eye irritation, etc! surprised that DHC cleansing balm wasn't in this video. that one is my ultimate fave! or the banila co cleansing balm which i enjoy as well. thank you liah! enjoy your videos as always :) will be looking forward to your south korea quarantine vlog!
Could you possibly list the good and the bad next time that would be awesome thank you!
I always do a little bit of gentle micellar water to
Loosen up my makeup & I always always always go in afterwards with a double cleanse with my cleanser.
I'm surprised that Banila's Clean It Zero didn't make it to the list 😯 It's my holy grail product because it cleans off make up really well and leaves my skin feeling hydrated afterwards! 💕
I would love to see Krave Beauty come out with a cleansing oil!
Yes maybe with her favourite Tamanu oil
Thank you so much for this video!! I've been looking for a new oil cleanser to double cleanse with. Given that there are so many interesting non-balm Korean oil cleansers (Neogen, Klairs, Purito, etc.), I'd love to know a few of your fave oil cleansers for daily use 🥰🤗
Polyethylene glycol is the active ingredient in Miralax, the laxative, which is also probably the most commonly used laxative. Just a thought 🤷🏻♀️
Liah, can you try out and review Ponds cold cream makeup remover?
Currently using Farmacy Green Clean, but I also really liked FANCL's Cleansing Oil! Thanks for the vid
damn Glow Recipe just dropped a new cleansing balm, could you try it and do a review please?? 🥰
I’d love to💚
Hi Liah. Hoping to hear that you guys will ship to Australia soon! I have been on your channel for a very long time and your recommendations and advices really helped me get through my bad skin days. Also, looking forward to the possible Krave Beauty cleansing balm soon!
클렌징밤은 세정력도 좋지만, 스패츌러로 떠서 녹여쓰는 과정들이 재밌기도 해서(홈테라피하는 기분?) 인기인 것 같아요! 😆
맞아요!!!
Liah, Im dying to know - what is the nailpolish shade you’re wearing while washing off the Physicians formula balm?
Love your video and have been using Krave products for a year now. I'm wondering if you could do a favorite jewelry video, your earrings so pretty!!
the first cleansing balm i ever used was then i met you. i don’t think it was that great. i have naturally oily and sensitive skin and it broke me out. i think the oil is too thick for my kind of my skin, and it also takes a long long time to wash off. i’m now using banila co and i see the BIG difference. just my two cents
I have rosacea and I like very much Clinique take the day off balm. Very gentle and I hesitate to try another one !
Hi Liah! Can you talk about some cleansing tools? And does it really works? Example Foreo, brushes, cloth etc.
Totally agree about the ordinary cleanser! Good for cleansing, but unfortunately doesn't remove makeup :(
Ive been using my second tub of yadah greentea cleansing balm and its great. Very gentle removes makeup well and is also quite affordable. I think you should give it a try when you get a chance 😊
I loove TO Squalane cleanser but I’m actually using it as a second cleanse and it works pretty well.
Whoever is reading this comment may all your wishes come true and hope you are having a wonderful day
(By the way I'm a small TH-camr)❤️
You as well love!🌴💚
💜💜💜💜
Liah Yoo is the garnier micellar water okay for removing all makeup? Or do I need a balm?
Hello it’s Me i think it depends on your makeup and your skin! Assuming you’re double cleansing I personally think micellar water with your normal cleanser is fine but when I wear heavier makeup I go in with a balm or oil cleanser, then micellar water on areas with more product, and then my normal cleanser. My skin is dry combo and honestly it just comes down to experimentation and if it feels clean enough or not!
Grace Stafford thank you so much 🥺
Thank you for the video Liah! I had hoped to see the I'm From Fig cleansing balm here as well, but there's always next time :)
Hi! I'm new to your channel. I'm concerned if cleansing oil is really necessary for a guy like me with oily acne-prone skin before the 2nd cleansing. Also, should you double cleanse twice a day? I love your videos! They're so informative 🤗
also I didn’t know the TIMY cleansing balm has EOs! 🥺 but glad that it doesn’t sting your eyes!! I totally have that, your much loved Farmacy balm, that GORGEOUS Deviant balm and now the Sioris on my wishlist ahhhh 😍💆🏻♀️ thanks for the recs and concise reviews always, Liah! 🌴💚
Love the Hanskin cleanser too and had the exact same reaction as you! It stung my eyes and smelled so strong the first week, then the second week it was fine
That’s so interesting!
currently on the rotation of using: hanskin's cleansing oil and fresh's soy cleanser for a double cleanse routine and it's been really good so far *touchwood*
Can you please make this a series if it isn’t already, I would love to see a best and worst vitamin C serums, toners, essences, retinols, 2nd cleansers, moisturizers!! ✨💚
You should try the ponds cold cream makeup remover fragrance free version!
I started using Farmacy Green Clean a year or two ago and I've realized until now I, too, have been living under a rock with the Physicians Formula dupe 🤯
i was bored & this popped up!! yay 🤩🤩
Yay!!
Liah your top is so pretty!! Where is it from?
too bad Simple discontinued their Cleansing Oil, it was my favourite and inexpensive
Mine too, it was so good!
YES!!! Liah talked about this product a long time ago on her channel. I loved it too!
they discontinued it???? it's still available in the uk atm but i feel like they always discontinue some of their best products :(
I'm sure they still sell it?? But they've repackaged it, I bought two bottles just two weeks ago
Jin11193 I talked to simple on social media and they said it has been discontinued
