The best way to clean those clogged pore tunnels is everyday cardio work out and a good everyday sweat. No skin care product has cleared my skin like my own body did. I did the experiment of buying the best skin care routine including AHAs, BHAs, soft cleansers, retinol, vitamin A, barrier repair light moisturizer, hydrating serums and others. While I used these products, I was eating junk food every day and having a sedentary life. My face and neck got every clogged pore you can think of all over: black heads, white heads, inflamed acne, infected acne. My skin was a mess and to be honest the skin care products were useless. Once I cleared my diet, my skin started healing but those clogged pores were still very clogged. Skin care products were a little more efficient but not major improvement was remarkable. Once I implemented everyday cardio work out and just made the effort of sweating and moving, my skin appreciated it so much. My pores started clearing and shrinking from the first day. Cleaning and applying all the skin care products after taking a good shower from the work out was so pleasant because I could actually see my skin healing and finally those skin care products doing their job. At the end of the day we have to remember skin care products are surface products that can only do so much. There is no better machine and technology that your own cells and body. Take care of it and it will clean and heal itself.
This is so so true! Altho genetics play a factor, but as we age, our lifestyle affects our skin more than we think. I still remember going to a small village in rural China and seeing girls with perfect glowy healthy skin while my cousin and I (both Chinese as well) and many girls from big cities battling with acne and other skin issues.
Hi! Your comments are very informative. Would you like to share what kind of cardio work out you did every day? And the diet, what kind of food you consume? Thank you.

I noticed that my pores “unclogged” after I started using oil-based cleansing balms, and facial oils, in my skin care. What you said about oils with linoleic acid makes sense. I did try to use linoleic-acid based oils because I had read that they were non-comedogenic. I also started avoiding silicones especially in my makeup and I think that helped as well. I’m sure I still have oil in my pores, but it is now “liquid” instead of “solid” or waxy and thus it is not visible.
@@cheeling794 it’s been a while and now I use prescription tretinoin combined with niacinamide ( from Curology) which works even better. But I do still use Clinique‘s cleansing balm and Josie Maran’s Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 as sunscreen, both of which are oil-based.

I love you❤️ I found about you when you collabed with Lavendaire, and beleive me, I'm feeling so overwhelmingly hopeful and happy that I found you. Getting your content is like a fulfillment of a long unanswered prayer for me. I have suffered from acne since I was 12 and finally this year at 25, I was able to get a cure for it. But my skin is horribly damaged now. It has become so dull and lifeless. Specially the hyperpigmentation scars had left me so sad and frustated. after so many years delving deeper into skincare to find my personal triggers and cutting out potentially comedogenic ingredients, it's super interesting to hear the concept of both lipid peroxidation and squalane oxidation - both of which I've never heard of before tbh! 😅 thanks always for new insights, Liah! 💚
Liah read my thoughts! 😱 Thank you for transforming my face from 70 percent covered in angry acne to 2 percent and even skintone! I'm so grateful especially for your "Less is more" video. Wow thanks for sharing your strong testimony and I can’t be happier for you! At least clogged pores are not ‘inflammatory’ so :) it’s much easier to take care of imo!
The BEST de-clogger I have ever tried, and it works 10 times better than anything I have EVER tried, is just plain old polysorbate 80. I get the clear thick liquid on amazon, and apply (before bedtime) the size of a quarter in my palm, then rub my palms together to warm it, and apply it to my face, rubbing it in gently with a small circular motion. You don't need a lot. I let it sit for 5 min., so my skin can warm it and let it sink in, and then I VERY lightly wipe over my whole face with a dry cloth to only take off any excess. Your skin only needs a little. Then I go to sleep and in the morning my pores look smaller and I don't see any clogging at all (even my nose area, which is always a problem, looks declogged!!!). So just a small container of polysorbate 80, which is pretty safe for the skin...they even use it in some foods, is all you need and it will last a long time. The stuff is a natural degreaser and safely cuts and dissolves right through any greasy waxy buildup. Just wash your face in the morning, pat dry and apply a good moisturizer, because it can be slightly drying, but it WORKS better than anything I have tried in my entire life...and I have tried a LOT of everything!
Ugh the quality of the information presented in the video and the thoughful effort put into the visuals and presentation. 😩❤️ Best channel, best content-creator. 💚💚💚💚🌴🌴🌴🌴

What a perfect timing 😭😭 I looked into the mirror this morning and realized that my pores have become clogged pores galore *disgusting, I know* I need to start looking for a good Vitamin C and Face oil! Thanks Liah! 🌴🌴
I took notes.. * wear sunscreen every single day (mandatory!!) * add antioxidants like - vitamin a - vitamin e - vitamin c if you have clogged pores + acne : vitamin a (retinol) product for oily skin : green tea! * invest in any one of these - retinol (vitamin a) - aha - bha (you could use all three, just space it out so that you don't irritate your skin) if you have blackheads and open comedies : salicylic acid (bha) * if you have very oily skin and overproduction of sebum, -niacinamide - zinc - green tea also facial oils rich in linoleic acid like - rosehip seed oil - safflower seed oil - hemp seed oil - jojoba - grapeseed oil * diet - cut out dairy, sugar and high glycemic foods less is more when it comes to skincare, so be consistent with your routine and be patient with your skin guyss!
This is exactly the video I needed, thank you so much in investing your time and resources into providing such high quality content that is delivered in a way we can understand best w/o it feeling complicated 🌴🌴❤️💚

I really appreciate your videos, every little detail and the examples you show using certain props, you’ve really helped me with getting to know my skin better, thanks Liah! 👍🏼
Ok so... I've been using moringa oil on my face for some months now and I noticed that it is cleaning my pores significantly! I literally stopped using it for a week and my skin was immediately back to being irritated and full of blackheads... I noticed that whenever I use it, it's like pushing away from my pores the blackhead, in a way that it gets out without doing anything damaging for my skin... Idk what proprieties has it but it does wonders 😊
This is probably one of the videos that i watch until the very end without scrolling down through the comments section while the video on. Its not easy to absorb all of the good new knowledge at once, but the perk is this new info will coming handy later. Thank you Liah for enlighten me :-D
Helpful, to the point, and easy to understand; you just got a new subscriber miss. I’m a teenage boy with mild/moderate acne that’s trying to find his right routine, this really helped. I especially liked the recap at the end.
Another informative, lovely video! I really love how you visualise the problems occuring with the short clips, it really helps improve my understading of the problem
*HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!* I can't believe... I am actually just been suffering to clogged pores recently and holy shit!! Liah you really read my mind and this just popped up!! I'm really happy about this!! Thank you so much!!!
Finally, thanks to Liah and her team (for making such beautiful products, Krave Beauty)my skin has been feeling so hydrated (no more oiliness) , experiencing less redness than before, and an exfoliator that does not hurt, tear, or dehydrate my skin when I use it. The only thing left to check off my list is to figure out how to deal with clogged pores, which I know has something to do with my sebum production..
I first read about 'Sebum Oxidation' a little over a year ago 'cause I was searching for what could cause certain issues I've been having for years now. Yes, I've only skin and after making changes to my skincare, my skin has improved so much. But that little issue still persists: skin rashes. My own sebum oxidizes so quickly that I develop these bad rashes, especially around the nose area, forehead and on my brows where the oils concentrate like crazy. And living in a warm-weather country only aggravates it. I do manage it by using those sebum-absorving sheets and misting my skin every few hours to cool down the skin. That's the best I can do for now. 👍Thanks so much to Liah for uploading this vid. Very informative. 💙
I use grapeseed oil in the morning, tamanu oil + tea tree oil before going to sleep, and minimize my daily sugar for about a month. It really helps a lot to regulate oil production, skin moisture, texture, and also helps to minimize my acne. I found that my big acne didn't come back, now just for cutie acne. Currently, I add The Ordinary Niacinamide 10%+Zinc 1% to my skincare routine, so far it improves my skin texture more than before. I feel proud of saving and spending my money to have all of them. Thanks for your all suggestions Liah. Now I'm waiting for the next 2 months, cause people said that we need at least 3 months to see the results. I wish my scars will disappear :)
Thanks for this video, Liah! I also want to thank you for all your so well investigated and explained videos. I went through A LOT of skin products trying to find a solution for my skin concerns, I even visit a dermatologist but the medication was really expensive and couldn't buy it, thanks God I found your channel! After I started to follow you advices, my skin started recovering, I still have some pimples here and there but they disappear after a day or two, you totally changed my skin and life
Could you please also make a video on how to mix the oils...like which oil would go with which...in what quantity we should mix them...when to use them, day or night,...specifically for oily acne prone hyperpigmented skin...
Yo I’ve studied this video like a university module and I’m making changes to my life based on Liah’s advice here. I’m not gonna buy anything new and instead make use of what I already have. My current skin condition: pores clogged to fuck, big white bumps on chin (and back) growing in number, mild acne, skin texture, blackheads and whiteheads, closed comedones, dull uneven skin tone. My current location: England (mild climate, no strong sun). Note: I also lived in the tropics and trust me, your skin acts super different depending on the climate you live in. Revamped morning routine: 1. First cleanse with micellar water or cleansing balm (using what I have: currently La Roche Posay’s Micellar Water; will then move onto Boots Organic Cleansing Balm) 2. Second cleanse with cleansing gel (currently using Mary Kay Salicylic Acid gel wash; when finished will move onto Neutrogena 2-in-1 Clay Wash and Mask) 3. Cosrx AHA/BHA toner 4. Eye cream 5. Avène Redness Relief Moisturiser SPF20 with added drops of The Ordinary Niacinimide 10% + Zinc 1% serum Revamped evening routine: 1. Steps 1 to 4 of the morning routine 2. Avène Redness Relief Concentrate (as mentioned, I use what I have; this cream is VERY moisturising so I use a little, and will not repurchase as I have no need for it) with added drops of pomegranate seed oil (it has fairly high levels of both oleic and linoleic acids but linoleic is slightly higher) I also take supplements vitamins A, C, D. My diet is fairly healthy but can be improved by lowering dairy and sugar content. I aim to drink more green tea and water. As one commenter stressed, exercise and cardio are crucial for better skin, so will incorporate daily exercise of 30-45mins. Will try to manage stress and regular sleep. I intend to check back in a month and will report if there’s any progress. I’ll also update this comment if I change products.
Dear Liah yoo, can you please make a video on how to get rid of dark circles or how to prevent acne after waxing/threading your face you are the only one that actually knows what they're talking about unlike the other skincare youtubers they make 20 minutes long video with literally no helpful information
I like that you explained it clearly in detail and in order, which sometimes can be overwhelming with the scientific terms. Keep it up and you’ve earned a new aubsvriber! :)
This was soo helpful in understand clogged pores, sometimes when i get lazy with skincare I get them more often. I need to have a more consistent skin care routine
I’ve just spent more money on skincare, but I don’t feel guilty. It makes me happy, that’s how I should live. It’s environmentally friendly too. I love your videos, and your cleanser Liah! - A (very) small TH-camr
Man I love Korean/Chinese/Japanese hair. So healthy and shiny! You’re blessed. Really appreciate your channel liah, you’ve helped me with my problematic skin. Bless you 😘
I tried Hada Labo AHA/BHA skincare+ Hyaluronic Acid regimen for oily/breakout-prone skin. It works for me. Till today, I got only 2 acnes after a month trial. After puberty, I am experiencing with non stop acnes/closed pores problems+oily skin. Just like a miracle for me after years of trial and error.
I love how you teach us to respect and understand our skin, to get what we need/what we lack of. Everyone should watch your videos. Its gonna change a lot of people mindset. Too many women who clearly think products out there are same like destiny.. They don’t have any clue why this work and the other won’t and they just accepted it instead of learning what their body actually need and then blaming the products if it doesn’t work. In Indonesian they’d say “cocok2 an” 😅
This is as usual very informative Liah, can't thank you enough for your effort to make this 💚💚💚 The illustration is really good, i'm imagining what happened in my pore tunnels, lol
Massaging an oil balm cleanser into your skin for 5-10 minutes will make most pop out (oil attracts oil). You can even feel itwhen it comes out. Grainy feeling.

Can't wait for your follow up video! I've been using krave beauty for about a month now which has helped my skin a lot! but I still have a bunch of stubborn whiteheads on my chin that turn into acne. Hopefully this knowledge will help me figure out what to do next

What a perfect timing 😭😭 I looked into the mirror this morning and realized that my pores have become clogged pores galore *disgusting, I know* I need to start looking for a good Vitamin C and Face oil! Thanks Liah! 🌴🌴
Your skin is never disgusting!! Please be gentle 🙌🏼
I was just upset about getting more clogged pores and your video appeared😍ILY
I took notes..
* wear sunscreen every single day (mandatory!!)
* add antioxidants like
- vitamin a
- vitamin e
- vitamin c
if you have clogged pores + acne : vitamin a (retinol) product
for oily skin : green tea!
* invest in any one of these
- retinol (vitamin a)
- aha
- bha
(you could use all three, just space it out so that you don't irritate your skin)
if you have blackheads and open comedies : salicylic acid (bha)
* if you have very oily skin and overproduction of sebum,
-niacinamide
- zinc
- green tea
also facial oils rich in linoleic acid like
- rosehip seed oil
- safflower seed oil
- hemp seed oil
- jojoba
- grapeseed oil
* diet - cut out dairy, sugar and high glycemic foods
less is more when it comes to skincare, so be consistent with your routine and be patient with your skin guyss!
This is exactly the video I needed, thank you so much in investing your time and resources into providing such high quality content that is delivered in a way we can understand best w/o it feeling complicated 🌴🌴❤️💚
Thank you for appreciating💚💚
I really love how you visualized the problems. So smart and creative.
Can you please do a video about Gua Sha and jade rollers?
you would be such a good teacher, your way of explaining is very easy to understand and i love that
Because of this kind of videos I am soooooo thankfull that we are able to watch TH-cam :) Thank you Liah I hope once we can also buy Krave Beauty at Europe!
Thank you Lili💚🌴
Liah Yoo is Krave Beauty available in Canada? 🇨🇦
I love that you research so much before giving out any information. Thank you for that. Also I really hope Krave products would be available worldwide soon.
Thank you! And yes I hope so too! But we’re taking our time with it
How did you know exactly what kind of video I needed?? Woah you’re a genius , thank you!!
I love that you are actually informed and well educated with this topic. Thank you!
Thank you for watching it to the very end!
Helpful, to the point, and easy to understand; you just got a new subscriber miss. I’m a teenage boy with mild/moderate acne that’s trying to find his right routine, this really helped. I especially liked the recap at the end.
‘Just chilling there. Not paying rent.” 😂
I currently have one like that and I am not sure if I should do anything about it or not!
Another informative, lovely video! I really love how you visualise the problems occuring with the short clips, it really helps improve my understading of the problem
Thank you Teresa :)
finally i have an answer for why my skin gets super oily when im outside !!!!!! thank you so much liah 🥺🥰
*HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!*
I can't believe... I am actually just been suffering to clogged pores recently and holy shit!! Liah you really read my mind and this just popped up!! I'm really happy about this!! Thank you so much!!!
Omg yesss thank you for this video!! 😭 Recently, I've been getting clogged pores especially blackheads but only on the right cheek areas
hope this video helps!!
Could you do a video about tretinoin? People are talk about it like a miracle product for our skin
i think she does have a video on retinoids and vitmin a or mentions it a lot in other videos!
I AM RECENTLY LOOKING FOR THIS!!! 💖
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO 😩✨ILYSM
YAY!
Thank you someone that actually knows what they’re talking about
How do we use green tea for oily skin? Do we drink it or make it into something like a facial mist?
search for products with green tea or do a green tea face splash! (water rinsing) :)
Liah Yoo ooo ok thank you!
I’ve been using the isntree green tea toner for my t zone and it’s really nice!
Kori R what’s the brand you use?
Raquel T isntree! it’s a very clean brand that only uses good ingredients!
Revamped morning routine:
1. First cleanse with micellar water or cleansing balm (using what I have: currently La Roche Posay’s Micellar Water; will then move onto Boots Organic Cleansing Balm)
2. Second cleanse with cleansing gel (currently using Mary Kay Salicylic Acid gel wash; when finished will move onto Neutrogena 2-in-1 Clay Wash and Mask)
3. Cosrx AHA/BHA toner
4. Eye cream
5. Avène Redness Relief Moisturiser SPF20 with added drops of The Ordinary Niacinimide 10% + Zinc 1% serum
Revamped evening routine:
1. Steps 1 to 4 of the morning routine
2. Avène Redness Relief Concentrate (as mentioned, I use what I have; this cream is VERY moisturising so I use a little, and will not repurchase as I have no need for it) with added drops of pomegranate seed oil (it has fairly high levels of both oleic and linoleic acids but linoleic is slightly higher)
I also take supplements vitamins A, C, D.
I really wanna make Portuguese subs for you!! Your perspective and your channel are everything!! Would love if more people could have access to it!
I don't speak Portuguese but this is such a great idea!
Thanks Ivana🥰
Thank you so much Liah, I've struggled with this problem my whole life and this video has been more than useful ❤️
I'm so proud of Lia! Her videos and explaining is better every video. Love you baby!
Sunscreen recommendations? They always tend to give me acne
Have you tried Altruist? It has really good protection and is hypoallergenic
Chocolatetoppie no I haven’t, But I will check it out!
Peaches And Cream she has her own with krave beauty. Also supergoop is awesome too
Yes me neither, I already tried biore and aquaskin, they just made me give me lot of acne 😭
biore watery essence. it has 50 spf and pa++++
I’ve just spent more money on skincare, but I don’t feel guilty. It makes me happy, that’s how I should live. It’s environmentally friendly too. I love your videos, and your cleanser Liah! - A (very) small TH-camr
Me: knowing exactly the products, habits and food to eat, use and do to get rid of clogged pores. Also me: watches videos for reassurance and comfort.
This video came up on the right time this time I'm suffering from clogged pores and i start hating my skin thank u so much
Man I love Korean/Chinese/Japanese hair.
Omg did you read my mind 😱 I needed this right now! Thank you.. I love you!
I recommend COSRX BHA POWER LIQUID so much. It is one of the product that saved my skin.
I can't stand sunscreens as my T zone is giving too much spot and oil because of it
I love how you teach us to respect and understand our skin, to get what we need/what we lack of. Everyone should watch your videos. Its gonna change a lot of people mindset.
Too many women who clearly think products out there are same like destiny.. They don’t have any clue why this work and the other won’t and they just accepted it instead of learning what their body actually need and then blaming the products if it doesn’t work. In Indonesian they’d say “cocok2 an” 😅
This is as usual very informative Liah, can't thank you enough for your effort to make this 💚💚💚
The illustration is really good, i'm imagining what happened in my pore tunnels, lol
Massaging an oil balm cleanser into your skin for 5-10 minutes will make most pop out (oil attracts oil). You can even feel itwhen it comes out. Grainy feeling.
Thoughts on cold brew green tea? I find hot brewed too intense for me...
Thank you so much , from 2days i have been searching youtube and google to get a solution for my whiteheads
So glad!
A pore series! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Of course!!
Wonderful video as always, but I wonder is it possible to find out the exact reason among these three?
Hi Liah! Thank you for this video it was very insightful! You always share great value through your skincare videos and vlogs! Keep up the great work and look after yourself x 😊💖
Can't wait for your follow up video! I've been using krave beauty for about a month now which has helped my skin a lot! but I still have a bunch of stubborn whiteheads on my chin that turn into acne. Hopefully this knowledge will help me figure out what to do next
Any recommendations for green tea products that are non toxic for us oilyies?
I have oily skin to, did you find any green tea products?
@@Jessi_hrndz purito k beauty unscented line has green tea in it I’ve been using that for a while and enjoying it so much
