The best cleansing oil I have ever used is the Shiseido cleansing oil. I always use it in the shower before I hop in and double cleanse. It cleans my face and makeup brushes completely! (innisfree apple oil cleanse for cheaper alternative). My favorite makeup balm is Clinique's Take the Day Off (Clean it Zero balm for cheaper alternative). I have used so many of all price ranges….but keep going back to Hada Labo cleansing oil. Cruelty free, removes every speck of makeup and sunscreen, no fragrance, feels silky and luxurious, and it’s cheap. Around $17 for 200mls, and you can buy refills for $11. Occasionally I buy a luxurious balm, like Nooni Snowflake Jelly, just to have something different to use - but the Hado Labo is a great basic and proves you don’t need to spend a lot to get an awesome product.

Heyyy, I actually have the heimish all clean balm. It’s a okay product, does the job, it removes all the impurities of the day from my skin. I love using it as a double cleanse. The only complaints I have about the product is that it has a strong fragrance. So if you are not into that sort of thing, you’ll want to steer clear from it. Also, it contains polyethylene (micro plastic) which is toxic to sea life. I bought the product without reading the ingredients. So now I’m trying to use it all up and will not be repurchasing. Overall, it’s an good product. Hope this helped you😊

I prefer oil because I don't like sticking my finger in a jar, and I'm too lazy to use a spatula. But now I'm rethinking that given how much better the balms worked.

For waterproof makeup, especially eye makeup, I will say this until I’m blue in the face… Purity Made Simple Cleanser by Philosophy IS THE BEST. It does have some good oils in it, it foams up a little & is a gentle gel cleanser that removes ALL makeup without stripping the skin. You can double cleanse if you want to, but no need with this as your skin will be clean. They worked with doctors too, so you know it’s good. It is the best cleanser in America. It also comes in several different size bottles. Stores like Ulta & Sephora sell the deluxe sample size at the front of the store. I’m almost 58 & have been using this for at least 10 years now. It’s been a real game changer for me. For double cleanse I just started to use the Peach Cleanser from Peach & Lily & can use the Purity as the 2nd cleanse. Also use the Clarisonic with it sometimes too.
