    Lists really help me so I’m sharing:
    1- cucumber (1/2-1; 1 is best. Skin on)
    2- celery (3-4; 4 is best)
    3- Granny Smith apple (2, skins on)
    4- kiwi (1 peeled)
    5- fresh lemon juice (1-2; 2 is best)
    * optional #6- plain Greek yogurt (3-4 Tbsp)
    -Add water enough to help blend

    This is a good recipe for me because all I need to do is go to my back yard to gather ingredients. My kiwi are the cold hearty small ones, and my celery is a pink Chinese variety. I even have lemons!

    Hi Dr Joe. I made celery juice this morning for breakfast (which I love). I’m doing a BP check for 7 days like you.
    And I’m making this smoothie to replace my lunch.
    Then I’m having a huge salad with some nuts & seeds & avocado for dinner.
    I am doing 2 meals, IF 16:8 and though it’s true I NEED to lose more weight, I am doing this more for my health because I developed all kinds of really serious issues.

      No, you won't. There's plenty of volume in there to fill you up, Yemi. Trust me. In fact, you might not be able to finish it in one go. Even if you do, like I said in the video, can you drink it more than once a day? Of course, you can. Make another one...

    I never have cared for cucumbers, but I love pickles. They help me digest what I eat.
    I have a nutrient dense smoothie everyday with spices and herbs.

      The smoothie might be too thin without the celery though meaning you could become hungry too soon. I do put in a lot of thought in my recipes. Try not to alter it too much, Olaolu

    Just came across this video and so glad I did but how I went to the grocery store and brought the celery and yogurt because I already had the apples, cucumbers and lemons. Took out the blender to make the smoothie and forgot the kiwis and I had a list 🤦🏾‍♀️. So I will go in the morning to get the kiwis and start this journey first thing in the morning.

    Doc, This looks so good as a meal replacement to keep me full. If I have this for lunch and a good healthy dinner as well as exercise I will loose weight and not think about food all the time and settle my bowls down.

      Thanks for the suggestion, Diny, but that's the kind of video I suspect will belong to a strictly educational site I plan on creating. The reason is TH-cam politics (which I have to deal with here) will make it unsuitable for my main channel. I did talk about that topic specifically in my book though. I hope you have got yourself a copy

      I wish I could say X or Y number of days. That's impossible to do, Felicia. Why? Because everyone is different and everyone has a different amount of weight they want to lose. As with most things in life, weight loss is not a linear phenomenon. Everyone should be running their own race and how long it takes you to get to the finish line really doesn't matter in the end

      Yasmin, it is fine. You can have it. There's a lot of fiber here to wrap up the sugar but you may test yourself if you want to be absolutely sure

      I'm greedy. I consume the whole thing in one sitting. If you struggle to finish it, could you have the remaining portion later in the day? That's one option. You could refrigerate leftovers but not for more than 24 hours. If you want to keep it for more than 24 hours, then freeze it.

    Dr Joe…. I’m sorry I have so many questions.
    I know lemon peels have good benefits for us so my question is:
    is it better for me to blend in a whole organic lemon (minus the seeds)???
    Or will it make the smoothie too bitter? I guess I could try it but I don’t want to waste an entire organic lemon.

      No please. No. Certainly not for weight loss purposes. Coconut cream is a high calorie food. Just doesn't fit in here at all. Sorry
