I LOVE IT! GOOD INFO, GREAT SONG.Just one thing, it is possible to edit the 'Whitey". In this days it sounds racist. What about "cuate"( from Mexico) or pana(from Puerto Rico) (my buddy/my friend) or . For that reason I can not show it to my students.
It is unfortunate that you feel that way.
In my experience it is not offensive for people to use nicknames with friends in Spanish. The nickname that Lucas uses with Señor Jordan is a common nickname in Mexico. I've even heard people use it as a term of affection with their lighter skinned significant other.
It sounds to me like the perfect teachable moment for your students where you explain that different cultures do things differently and it doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong.

It does not have the same negative connotation that it would in English. The term can describe light skinned latinos as well, even your significant other if they are lighter skinned. Its easy to think that it is racial in nature but it is not its intention or how it is used.

Just found your channel and have only watched 5 or 6 videos so far. Excellent work. You speak very clearly, slowly, which too many teaching spanish don't do. Your method of teaching is excellent too. One thing I have found out right off is you explain what a word is structure wise in a sentence. Like "pronoun" in this video. It really helps knowing this.
