In this lesson Lucas teaches us some basic greetings in Spanish while Señor Jordan tries not to mess up too badly.

I wanted to thank you for "teaching " my son Spanish this past semester at school. His teacher used your videos for instruction instead of doing her job and teaching. Since this is "Teacher Appreciation Week" I felt that it was appropriate to reach out to the person who taught my son the small amount of Spanish that he learned. Thank you Senor Jordan!
As a Spanish teacher, I really appreciate someone making videos like this one with Lucas, because it is current, funny, engaging and the kids do learn form it. I would love to see MANY more! Great job!

@@SeñorJordan I love Spanish. I’m learning French on Duolingo, though. I still love both languages.
My experience of MFL’s in British schools at least is that they don’t teach the language but a prescribed dose of the core basics which as soon as you sit the exam and been out of school five minutes you forget for a small number of more academically inclined people go on to study a language and take the opportunity in their early adulthood to live in for example Spain for a short number of years to benefit from the practical experience of using the language

Very cute video. I agree with Claudia. I used your videos when I was substituting for a Spanish teacher last term. They were very helpful. I would use videos including Lucas if I were still teaching Spanish.
My best friend is Spanish (also speaks English) and I feel like I could communicate a lot better with her family who doesn't speak a lot of English if I learned how to speak Spanish. So next time I see her I'll use one of these greetings and if she says "How did you know what that means?" I would have zero regrets replying "A puppet taught me. 😃"

If the example would be a pair of friends (male) they could use "quihubo" or "queobo" (que hubo) as I explained in another of your videos And believe me, it's more likely to. Say that when it comes to any of your male friends... I hope my tips can help you so much as they're intended to.

UWBadgers10 You are correct! It's like "what's up" or "what's happening" but you answer how you are doing: "bien", "mal", etc.
