Also, the customs agent in The Land Of The Dead was portrayed by funnyman Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias.

This movie helped me connect with my Mexican heritage so much. My grandparents died before I was born, so I didn’t have anyone that lived in Mexico to teach me.
This movie never fails to make me cry and laugh at the same time. The idea of it gives me comfort that our loved ones are actually there and that they will be remembered. Amazing video once again and I loved to see your reactions, especially to the plot twist🤭
At first Hector was supposed to be a tour guide, and him knowing every spot in the Land of the Dead still stems from that early concept. In the end they didn’t use it in the movie but it was never discounted either.
Dante, the dog that follows Miguel, is such an underrated character. In the beginning he tries to warn Miguel about the guitar and after when Miguel crosses over he has him chase him directly into his family. Progressing the story, and helping Miguel’s journey because he is his alebrije and Miguel is the wandering spirit. Coco is my favorite movie of all time I’ve watched it over 100 times, even wrote my English final on it and it has helped me feel connected to my Mexican background.
I’m think the reason why coco was forgetting hector was because she had some sort of memory problem like dementia or Alzheimer’s because remember when she called miguel by a different name in the beginning and she even forgot who her daughter was and she only barely remembers her dad so the reason he’s getting forgotten is because her memory is getting worse.
The movie doesnt need to show it Its implied with how miguel is a musician now and got other family members to join in and everyone is happy at the end
You are the first reactor I've seen to clock why Imelda can't cross over in the beginning! I love watching your reactions because you're SO OBSERVANT! I subscribed today :D Keep up the great work!

Well, she wasn't sure... she kept going back and forth about Hector possibly being a villain and the actual twist. Only reactor I've seen be THAT sus of him, she was sus until De La Cruz's betrayal was revealed... she did NOT see that coming!
"Coco is such a beautifully crafted film that not only showcases the importance of family and remembrance but also dives deep into the rich culture and traditions of the Day of the Dead. Another fun fact, when the people are ridiculing Hector for choking on Chorizo (a spicy sausage 10/10 would recommend), they are actually saying he died blowing someone
@@Enhypenmeencanta it isn't possible, they are just making fun of him for that. Remember that Ernesto's last words to him were "Maybe it's the Chorizo", so from Hector's pov he thought he died of food poisoning from a chorizo, and probably told them that. Those guys just twisted his words to "He choked on some Chorizo", meaning that he choked on some guy's Schlong.
“When does a man die? When he is hit by a bullet? No! When he suffers a disease? No! When he ate a soup made out of a poisonous mushroom? No! A man dies when he is forgotten!”
41:10 that won't work because he needs to be remembered by people who knew him when he was alive, and for his memories (of him in the living world) to be passed down to others by those who remember him
The skeletons represent the age of when the people died because if you noticed the little girl and her mother on the bridge when they are bringing Miguel back, she is about 5 years old looking, meaning she died at that age. Imelda and some of the others died semi young as well, minus Papa Julio, Coco's Husband who is the only "old" Skeleton among the family. The offrenda is an alter for offerings that one places the photos of the deceased and their favorite items from when they were alive. This allows them to come visit you and take back the love and memories you offer them in the form of food, drink or even an item like toys or a favorite cup.
That doesn't quite fit, though, because Imelda must have been old enough to imprint her hatred of music onto Elena (because Elena certainly didn't get it from Coco). So I really got the impression that Elena must have been _at least_ 18 when Imelda died, which would probably put Imelda into at least her 60s. The far more likely option, at least to me, is that ages, like everything else in the afterlife, are based on the memories of the living. Specifically, ages are based on how a person is _primarily_ remembered by the living. Right now, Coco is primarily remembered as she was at the end of her life, because she'd only died recently. But 20 years down the line, after people's first-hand memories of her have started to fade, if the photo of her on the ofrenda was replaced by a photo from when she was younger, then she would become younger in the afterlife as well. This would explain why, IIRC, everybody in the afterlife appears to be the same age that they are in their photos.

I consider anyone younger than 75 fairly young. And the way she moves suggests she wasn't that old because even coco, even if she is walking after her death, still moves something like an old woman. Based off of all the stories I have heard and read about Dia de los Muertos, they had said that your Spirit resembles you in your last moment of life. Very few suggest otherwise. Some say you appear in death as you did at the height of which your family remembers you most. So like let's say you die at 98 years of age, but everyone remembers you when you were 34 years old, your spirit/skeleton takes on the appearance of you at 34 years of age. But that is one form. Like I said most sources that I learned from sag you appear at the age you died. Because even the aunts and uncles were fairly "young" compared to Julio, Coco's Husband, who was the only "elder" looking among the family.

Oh I never noticed the mural, that’s cool. But the incredibles takes place in the 1960s, and they were probably in their 40s if the movie starts with them in their twenties and then fast forwards 15 years to their non-super life, so them being dead checks out

If he was successful and never returned to his family, he would do even worse and they would have even more reasons to hate music. My guy you have been watching the beat movies of our time for the last few weeks so enjoy them because there won’t be many left seeing this new way people have begun making movies.
The only thing that bothers me in this movie is how the hell did they prove the bad guy was the bad guy in the living world? In the afterlife world obviously they see his confession but only the dead see it, in the living world they only have a photo of Hector with the guitar and some kid's word. I wish they went into that just a little bit more.
They also must have shown the picture of Hector with his guitar (which is the same one Ernesto used), proving that he DID know Ernesto before the fame and could have killed him. There is also Miguel's family to confirm that he completely disappeared from the family tree the same year he passed away.

Can we just commend Don for posting so regularly 😭🤍
Coco is by far one of my absolute favorite Pixar movies defeated only by Ratatouille.
My guy you have been watching the beat movies of our time for the last few weeks so enjoy them because there won’t be many left seeing this new way people have begun making movies.
I remember seeing it in the cinema and it was so good everyone was crying
Hector actually never once lies to Miguel directly (he told the officer that he has tickets, not Miguel), Miguel just didn’t believe him
No he said o Miguel he knew where de la cruz was rehearsing but he was just there to apologize of the costume
The mc is literally me
Same name, same live situation, same everything(expect the skelys)
25:40 you said it a bit weird but I get what you meant, family will support you as long as the things your doing aligns with what they want.
Yeeeeees been waiting for this!
I wish Disney still made them like this fr
LETS GOOO COCO
i love coco! i would also recomend the book of life, its similar to coco and one of my favorites
Been waiting for this one
37:26, that's taking the term brothers in arms a bit too literally.
Now we need this man to watch the book of life
Miguel's abuelita looks exactly like mine 💀
The only thing that bothers me in this movie is how the hell did they prove the bad guy was the bad guy in the living world? In the afterlife world obviously they see his confession but only the dead see it, in the living world they only have a photo of Hector with the guitar and some kid's word. I wish they went into that just a little bit more.
Coco had the letters from Hector with the lyrics and stuff
They also must have shown the picture of Hector with his guitar (which is the same one Ernesto used), proving that he DID know Ernesto before the fame and could have killed him. There is also Miguel's family to confirm that he completely disappeared from the family tree the same year he passed away.
"How do they clap?"
They just *bone* 🥁
