Bro when coco says "papa" in the afterlife and shes all old and he's young but she's his little girl 😫😫😫✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻
🥹🥹🥹
That bit makes me SOB! Like yes she is older than him but that will always be his his baby and they finally get to be together as a family again 😭
It's always the cutest thing yet so sad🙏
It made me think about my dad
Apparently, it's called generational trauma. Imelda was so hurt and betrayed by the belief that Hector abandoned them that she basically passed on her pain to her descendants.
Yes it is, it's delved into deeper in Encanto but, yeah.
no bcs this film made me SOB its insane considering its a children's animation
Pixar and Disney is a match made in heaven
@@balkanbaroqueUsed to be
Now Disney's ruined
One of the biggest mistakes anyone can make is assuming all animation is strictly for children. The sooner you open your mind up to that, the more movies you'll find you enjoy. Animation is just another medium for movie making. It also confuses me anytime someone says that if it's animated it must be for kids, because people watch adult animated stuff all the time. Family Guy ring a bell?
So truly, open your mind up, and like this movie---you'll find plenty of other animated things that are VERY good film making.
I’m Mexican and my dad passed away two years ago. The idea/belief that he’s with me and can look over us is overwhelming in the best way ❤️ this movie is perfection.
**the plot twist is SO novela coded lol
oh the way i RAN here. Coco is pixar’s best movie yup i said it
Ummm.... I'd STRONGLY put UP! right up there as well... The only movie that makes you SOB right at the beginning?!?! Who does that?!?!
i AGREE 100%
I have no idea if inside out is Pixar but if it is I'd say that's up there as well
@MadelynnMarlowe yep inside out is pixar :) basically all the good films you're thinking of are pixar
FACTSSS
I'm Mexican, and this movie came out the year my dad passed. My dad always visits me on Día de Muertos, his picture is always at the center of the ofrenda.
omggg love this
That's such a gorgeous and wonderful thing. I'm so sorry about your dad, but I'm so happy that he comes to see you and the rest of the family. This is proof that our loved ones never truly leave us when they pass. RIP to your wonderful father. 💗💞🙏
I'll never forget when my little nephew was sat in my lap while we watched this in the cinema and he screamed out "Nnnaaaaooooo!" when it turned out Ernesto was the baddie 😂😂😂
I went to see this in theaters alone, sat right between two full families who were stone faced the entire ending while I was trying not to audibly sob lmao
@Mike-di1og 🥺 HOW!? 😭
This story is adorable 😂😭
reminds me of when i went to the theater and at the end when everyone was sobbing, a little girl (might have been 2) just gasped and said “coco!!” when they panned to mama coco. the sniffles turned to laughter lol
@@noface____ 🥰 so cuuute! 🥰
"We're watching Coco to get away from the heavy content"
Honey you've got a big storm coming
Literally my thoughts
"It's in your bones, it's in your bosoms, it's in your blood." Take away the music part and slap on any context and that's a banging quote, motivation at it's finest. 😂❤
this and Inside Out never fail to make me sob uncontrollably
Yes! And I would add Soul into the mix.
I can never watch inside out again. I watched it once, SOBBED and never again
Can't wait for inside out 2 :3
@@ayaehab I watched it and was dyinngggg. And then I went to therapy, and my therapist recommend I rewatch it to remember it's okay to be sad and I was SOBBBINNNGGGG!!!! 😭
This movie and Encanto destroy me every single time I'm not even Colombian or Mexican but they're not too dissimilar from my own family dynamics and I wish I could be the one to heal it if I ever feel like my family may be open to letting me try.
It’s so telling that even watching this I’m crying. This film is so damn powerful. I bawl my eyes out every time
Same! Not Mexican but this hits so damn hard. Coco reminds me so much of my late grandma.
i'm just starting this vid rn and the fact that Brad thought watching Coco would be a "break" or "something lighter" is hilarious because this movie genuinely breaks my fucking heart everytimeeeee.
I watched this movie for the first time while babysitting my 6 year old niece and I burst into tears when Miguel was trying to talk to his family and then started singing to coco. My niece threw a blanket over my head and said “Hopie no don’t cry”
That’s too cute!🥹
@@gracebrowne7444 it’s one of my fondest memories of my niece. We had such a good time with this movie and Encanto
Mexican here!💫 i'm so happy you reacted to this movieee😭 it represent our culture in the best way. Sooo fun-obvious fact hahaha we do believe in all this. It’s a whole production with parades, altars for the dead, parties (because is a celebration). It’s my favorite Mexican holiday
Also alebrijes are a thing too, they are sculptures of spirit animals. You can make your own, just think of your favorite animales and mix them😂 ily✨
Coco is the most incredible thing Pixar ever made. The pride in my Mexican heart watching my kids see their culture represented so beautifully for a change, is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life ❤
This is Disney-Pixar's most beautifully animated film. The color palates are incredible, from the bright bold colors down to the subtle glowing warm hues of candle light. The story is so moving for everyone who has lost a loved one & even for children to help them grasp the concept of continuing existence beyond this physical realm we know. It is my top favorite film for those reasons & the fact that it was the last Disney movie my oldest daughter saw before her untimely & unexpected demise just 7 months after the theatrical release. She was the biggest fan of anything Disney related, from the age of 2 yrs old until her death just one month before her 31st birthday... Even though I've watched it countless times, the film itself & people reacting to it, I still need a box of tissues at the end. It's heartbreaking & heartwarming at the same time. It's a masterpiece of art & storytelling. ❤
so sorry for your loss 💔
what breaks my heart the most is how mama coco lost her dad without knowing ANYTHING and thinking he left her for music. i can imagine little coco just wishing her papa to come home
I have seen this movie many times, and I still cry when Miguel sings to Mama Coco. Every single time.
I lost my grandma 2 weeks ago and this movie keeps popping up
This movie hits way harder now.
So sorry for your loss. I lost my grandma when Coco was in theaters and my mom, my aunt, and I were a sobbing mess when we got to the part where they put Coco’s picture up. My deepest condolences to you and yours.
🫂
10:52 people probably respected him so much that they didn’t think anyone would break in 😂
This is genuinely always been one of my fav disney movies
coco gets me every time. the music, the twist, ugh it’s just so good. would love to see you react to enchanted (2007). it starts animated and then turns into live action. its very wholesome, very slay, and the cast is incredible: patrick dempsey, james marsden, and amy adams all singing and dancing. keep doing what you’re doing, love your videos ❤️
my dad being mexican, it’s something my mom and i watched together. when he’s singing remember me to coco as a child i CRIED my eyes out, i lost my dad back in 2016 when i was 12, so it’s like it even hit harder. i was so close to him, even being 20 now i will forever be his little girl even if he’s gone.
so sorry for your loss ❤

YESS!!!... It's Brad! I am so happy you are doing well, Brad. I love Coco. It's fabulous. I am excited for this reaction.
Not me tearing up with Brad after seeing this movie 1,000 times😂
Same!
inside out is another highly emotional film from pixar that's so good!
didn't expect to cry again from just watching your reaction
The tears that were shed from this movie 😭
love love LOVE these breaks between the intense series your watching, great to watch you not so stressed out 🤩
that moment when you realize that for probably 3+ generations every year hector has been trying to go see his daughter coco and always turned down each year like imagine how he felt the first few years when he tried to go and told no one put your photo up he was probably so confused on why his wife and daughter didnt have him up etc like id be depressed and desprate af if i was him
He knew why- even if he did eventually try to go back to his family, he had abandoned them for his music career so I doubt he was surprised the wife & child he left behind to go be a traveling musician would be angry about it, assuming they even knew exactly when he died.
COCO is 🎉🎉such an iconic movie,so I'm so excited to watch your reaction ❤
i love that Hector wrote “Remember me” to his daughter. and Ernesto just made it very pulpy
Hercules, Atlantis, brother bear, nimona, wolfwalkers. I promise you’ll love all of these!!
18:54 You realizing the lyrics and then mimicking them MADE ME CACKLE!!!! 😂😂😂
Coco is one of the most beautifully animated, emotionally resonant, wonderfully written movies I've ever seen. I cry every time I watch it, even watching this reaction made me tear up. Love your stuff, Brad. Glad to see you enjoy this movie. Have you done Nimona? I think you'd like it. It's really funny and really heartfelt.
I love when you watch animated movies!!! You should do the new inside out when it comes out !!!!
I am doing good. Also Coco means a lot to me as a movie. My grandma had dementia. She had it for 3 years and she sadly passed away about 1 and a half years ago. So this movie hits even more then it did when I first watched it
So glad you chose this to react to! I saw this movie on a milestone birthday, not really knowing much about it. My Dad had passed away a little over a year before, and while I did have a good day, I had thought about him, and missed him. So this movie really felt like him saying Happy Birthday. I think of it as a birthday present from him. It remains one of my favourite movies.
I cry every single time i watch this movie, and ive watched it a lot of times lol glad you liked it! I love the appreciation this movie gives to my culture
YESS BRAD POSTED!! I actually felt a bit down today but knowing Brad posted made me feel better!!🫶
5:20 “babes get your sandal out me nose” 💀🤣🤣🤣
its so funny to hear Brad calling out the parenting/family dynamics for being psychopathic but irl it's expected for Hispanic families to be like this lolll
I watched this reaction at work (oops) and I'm SOBBING!! I'm not a religious person, but when Dia de los Muertos comes around I definitely feel my loved ones in the air. I'm so glad you enjoyed!
Oh gawwwd i still can't watch Coco without bursting into tears. Amazing movie and also you're amazing as always 🫰🏻
proud mexican here, anddd that jig that hector was doing for the audition is traditional mexican dance called zapateado but interesting enough its veryyy inspired and comes from the irish! also banda music
I think you would really love Nimona, it came out last year and is nominated for an Oscar. Its an amazing story, please please watch it
Omg yes! He would love it!
I love Nimona so much. The ending kills me 💔
When I tell you I fucking SOBBED watching this for the first time. Got me thinking about my own grandma who is my best friend and it absolutely DESTROYED me.😭😭
after I watched this movie I went straight to my grandma's house and hugged her because this movie broke me. we lost her in 2021 and it's such a different kind of loss. This movie really gives you hope that the people we lose are somewhere out there watching over us.
uhm.... Are we just not gonna talk about the QUALITY ?! It is mind blowing how good Brad looks
I loved Coco, when it came out!! The story is very interesting and sentimental! 💖
I love stories about afterlife, so I would like to recommend you The Book of Life! ✨
It is similar to Coco in terms of the afterlife storyline, but more on the romantic side of things and I think it's an absolute slay! 💅 So I would deffinitely recommend and would like to see your reaction to it, if you would be down!! Loved your reaction to this one, as always!! ❤❤
I really love this movie and I am so glad you watched it, it still makes me tear up even just watching you watch it. Another animation film I love that has Mexican roots is the Book of Life, it is powerful as well.
just realised how much longer the patreon list is now. you used to rush through that part and now the text is so small and you have to talk longer to get everyone in! amazing and sooooo well deserved! i love you
My grandfather passed 3 years ago, and ot was my first like close experience w death, and celebrating el dia de muertos really just helps you feel better about mortality, and accepting it :) love how the movie depicts this
Definitely cried 😢 every replay of the movie I watched 😭 I thoroughly enjoyed watching it again with your commentaries 😊
The noise you use in your edits for the "very scary" moments, the knees rattling sound, is so on point for this movie!! One of my all time faves, you're lovely.
Big Hero 6 is also a great movie!
As a musician, nobody being willing to lend Miguel a guitar is so real; I get antsy about letting people play my piano even if I know they can play cause yk... that's my baby chile😗😗
The first time I watched this, it was a couple months after my grandma had passed away. I ugly cried (and still do every time I watch it)! My favorite animated movie 💙💙
Aw I’ve just been crying with you!
A really good one to watch is Up 🥰 xx
Brad choosing Coco: We're gonna be doing something less intense...
Me: Oh my sweet summer child...
I watched this for the first time last year with my mum and both of us were SOBBING by the end. It’s so beautiful but Disney films really test my emotional stability
I’d love to see you react to Disney’s Brave, I think it would be right up your alley. Awesome video as always Brad, much love ❤
I was introduced to this film when I noticed my niece cryin in the end when mama coco reunites with her dad but I never paid much mind to it until I started playin it for my little brother we watched it sooo many times as he grew up he even calls phones “coco” 😂😂
TYSM for doing this movie I was Sooo Glad I found you doing the reaction to one of my Most favorite movies.. I’m having an Extremely Hard time in my life right now and just so struggling..And was So Upset🥺than I found your reaction and you helped me so much to just breath calm and watch this with you. You made me smile and laugh just when I needed it the Most just Thank You So Much your Such a Beautiful hearted person.. much love and blessings to you always in life..🥹💕 Ty ty TY..
❤️❤️
I hope you have a wonderful weekend thank you so much again.😊❤
I love this movie, and I always have to say that when my daughter was an infant/toddler, she loved to touch my face the way Coco does in Hector's flashback.❤
Also I recommend Encanto, another more recent animated movie centered on a Colombian family
I cry each time I see it. So good ❤
brad i am SOBBING 😭 i hadn’t watched this in so long
YAAAAAAASSSSS ANIMATED MOVIE BRAD IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITEEEEEEEEE
Fun fact: the movie is actually allowed in China despite the fact that the Chinese censorship forbids any depictions of spirits or the afterlife. Reportedly, they made this film an exception because of how much the censor board was so touched by the film’s story and message. Family and honouring your elders is an important aspect in China so it makes sense this film would touch their hearts. And you know you’ve made the greatest film ever when you make the most corrupt communistic country in the world cry.
"She's dead." [Taco Bell]
I'm half Mexican so I was already so excited to see this in the theater. But dearheart lemme tell ya, from the time the grandmother sang in the alley stairs and proved how much she loved music, I was a damn mess. I don't think my eyes were dry from that point up until getting into my damn car. A mess.
10:44 - Wait, do you think celebs have alarmed graves? 😂 No, darling, they choose where they go, but they aren’t alarmed. You can visit pretty much anyone who has been buried or encrypted here in the US.
Not me folding laundry and sobbing like a freak. 😂😭
Gosh i cry everyime.
STOP EVERYTHING!!!!!! WOOOHOO LETS GO….. and I’m glad you are doing well
Brad, we’re the same age… you’re a TH-camr… I’m a TV Producer… I love your reactions… you love that I watch your videos… when can we become BFFs?! Your reactions give me so much life!! Love who you are!!
I hysterically cry when coco started singing in the end oh god 🥺😭😭😭😭
Uggghhh... The tears! I don't think I've ever not cried, watching this absolute gem. Loved your face when the twist clicked into place, haha! Chef's kiss, perfect. 😆❤
I ran to watch this! 🏃🏽♀️🍿
I'm just ten minutes in and your reaction to Miguel's abuelita's strictness has made me feel so validated. ❤ I'm Mexican-American and have an aunt that is JUST like Miguel's abuelita... 🌠THE TRAUMA!🌠
I also end up a sobbing mess when I watch this movie because my abuelita was SO much like Mama Coco and I miss her so much. Tbh, Idk how such a beautiful soul of a person produced my awful aunt. 😂
Anyway, I always love your reactions, Brad! They always brighten up my day! ❤
I’m so happy!!!! This is literally my favorite Disney/Pixar movie ever!!
The “sludge” on the ofrenda is called Mole. A sauce blend of spices, seasonings, fruits and chiles. Usually one would put it on top of chicken. It’s so delicious!
I absolutely adore this movie, it makes SOB every time I watch it and obviously I also cried during this video
First time on your channel! You had me cracking up! Felt like I was watching with a bestie :)
Love this movie and the react ❤️
Just saw this for the first time with my babies!
Either I haven’t cried in a long time or this movie was just that good😭
Kids kept asking me “what’s wrong daddy” 😂❤💯love this movie
Watched coco for the first time while on a plane😅 absolutely sobbed on that plane😭😂
EVERY TIME i watch this movie i cry, like, there is no exception 😢 and my mom always makes fun of me because she never cries during movies lmao
Coco is my favourite animated movie for so many reasons! My second favourite is Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and I think that should be your next choice because that movie goes fucking hard!
I watched on Patreon and cried and I came here for the great edits and yep still cried. This movie really gets me 😢
I only just realized now in 2024 that when De LaCruz goes to give Miguel his blessing the petal doesn't glow because they aren't family. If Hector hadn't interrupted when he did I wonder what would've happened.
every single time I watch this movie I cry so much, it really gets to you because is about old relatives and I love my grandmas so much and the idea of losing them really hurts, but it's beautiful to think they go to this amazing place full of music and colors.
coco is me and my moms favorite movie to watch together..i swear we cried everytime. still..
No because this movie makes me cry every freaking time i watch it. Even now watching only bits through your video-
I’m so glad you reacted to this! I sobbed the first time I watched it, that last song still gets me every time when he sees Coco again!
Here's one most probably won't remember, from the 80's. The Brave Little Toaster. I _loved_ this movie as a child. I still have the original short story and VHS somewhere in a box. It was kind of a slightly darker Toy Story before Toy Story. When they told stories to kids without over sanitizing the realities of life. It's like Coco in this way.
you know which part of this movie that gets me every time (except the obvious parts)? it's when the family gets into coco's room at the end and miguel's parents stand behind him and his dad has this very authoritative stance and he's scolding him. but as soon as miguel lets out a sob, his dad softens and immediately goes to comfort his son instead of scolding him more. miguel's dad is such a small part of the film but throughout it he's trying to be supportive of miguel. his attempts are misguided, like thinking that miguel will be happy about joining the workshop and he can't initially accept miguel's love of music. but he tries to stop elena from breaking his guitar and successfully stops her trying to intervene at the end. it's a great display of how it often takes multiple generations to break generational trauma - miguel may have been the one doing the hard work, but his dad is the first (living) family member to take the step over that threshold with him
You're adorable and so open with your reaction, instant subscribe, and comment to help a little extra.
FINALLYYYY I have been waiting for you to watch Coco! It is such an underrated Disney movie, I absolutely love it
Coco an Up really beat the tears out of me.
“Irish jig” I cannot 💀😂
What's funny is that Dante kept leading Miguel straight to his family - at the graveyard to his tios and tias, then Hector, from the very first time Dante sniffed him out at the station. Then, of course, he found Miguel in the sink hole. So he really WAS guiding Miguel from the start, what a good spirit guide. ❤😂
“Gonna be a chill video” Me: oh. Oh no hon. Oh no no no 😂
