It would be SUPER helpful if the links were organized by tier so we don’t have to hunt around trying to find the product we wanted, or we can just go straight to S tier
I'm surprised nobody has commented with the S-tier options by now
Essentially everything sold by this company (BTOD)
Yes, if they organized the links by tier, that would be incredible!!
S Tier:
NOROCOME Cable Management Kit 192 piece
TidyHelper Cable Management Clips
BTOD Cable Management Box
A Tier:
PAMO Cable Management Under Desk
I would just like to point out something. when it came to that velcro "sleeve" you said there were only 2 openings, however since it is velcro you actually create your own openings, route the cable down from the top of the desk and into the velcro sleeve, seal the top of the sleave around the cable.
FYI my understanding of the loop in the cable strap is to loop it around the base of your cable so that it stays w/ the cable if you ever need to undo it (like a laptop AC adapter) and then when you need to cinch/tie up the cable, you can just loop it around the cable bundle. I used to also thread the loop through the full bundled-up cable but as this become really tedious on frequently used cables, I discovered the current way that I'm using them now.
I wish every tier list was as direct and comprehensive. Great job
I feel like you shouldn't rank your own product, since it throws your whole list into question. Just mention your product and go over its benefits and while everyone knows you'd rank your own product highly, it gives the impression of a less biased list.
I can assure you the list is no bias. Robert feels like the BTOD cable box is one of the best solutions out there, so he ranks it accordingly. It is the same reason he ranked the BTOD tray in B tier. It could be better and isn't one of the best solutions for what it does. We are putting out the best content we can on the subject and in some case our products do well and will be featured in lists and reviews. In other cases, we don't even discuss our products and only talk about other brands. It really just depends on the category -Greg
@@btodtv you have your own product saying its not overly expensive as the best option... metal box nothing fancy just compared to lets say pc case with tempered glass with multiple bends and all the hardware for less money HYTE Y60 Modern Aesthetic Dual Chamber. Where is the complexity that drives the cost up so much?
Really loving the cable management vids lately!
Maybe an idea to make an office room management vid at some point in the future as well? (Like tips for organizing your personal office room, useful furniture, lighting, object placement, accessoires etc for your entire office room instead of only the desk)
This is a cool idea we can consider. Thanks! - RG
Excellent video! Thanks for all the information!
really good format. I love seeing a lot of content without long duration.
Great Informative video n very helpful, question…..I use bigger surge protectors, the 12 outlet type not the long kind but the fatter kind and I’d prefer a cable management tray/box look (the tray that mounts under the desk) are there any trays that are not the wire type that are large enough for the surge protectors I use? So far the closest thing I’ve seen is the Vidor tray, would love your take on it and advice on getting a larger tray that conceals cables as opposed to wire trays that expose them.
can the btod ultimate cable management box be mounted flush to the edge of the wood (given a 1.5" thick butcher block top?)
what is the best cable management solution for a UPS. I run my NAS and external monitors on one and the rest of my devices off a standard strip, but the UPS's width doesn't seem to fit any cable management solutions.

Not a fan of coiled power cables so I like the longer trays - nice vid - thanks
Hello, Thank You For Reminding and Sharing. Excellent 👍👏👏👏
I have a standing desk which I use for gaming
and I need a good solution to fit all cables with an powerstrip and something to bundle cables together like a strap or a sleeve,
what can you recommend for me and are of hight quality?
Nice video and mini-reviews! I wish you had the products sorted by S and A tier, or at least pointed out at the end of the video which ones were in your top recommendations. Or maybe time stamps on the video including the tier for each product?
Just spitballing ideas. Again, great video!
great roundup as always!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching - RG
Oh god where was this 2 years ago when I was building my custom desk and even a couple months ago when I set up my WFH desk. Glad I found this!
Hope your setups turned out great. You can always upgrade! - RG
Thanks for this, there are so many options for cable management I had no idea where to start. About to get a new desk and for a change I'm going to bother and take the time to make it neat so this video helped me focus on a few items rather than get bored of sorting through hundreds and in the end not getting around to doing it.
Awesome glad I could help! Good luck on your new desk setup - RG
Is there any video you can recommend or products for a massive desk with about 10-15 cables that need to be plugged in?
Pro tip, when organizing affiliate links with your tier list they should be in order of best to worst instead of making us find it on the tier list and then figuring out which one it is, just put them in order. Thanks for the upload, by the way, your videos are great.
it's probably random so people need to watch the entire video. if it was organized in order, people can just watch top 10 or top 5 if they only wanted to see conclusions. but yea, i agree with you: would have preferred the video to be in order or a writeup in description to be in order.
@mike-tq5es The links are organized in the order that Robert talked about the product. -Ryan
I realize that thank you
If you are going to leave affiliate links then all I was trying to say is, leave the links in order of top tier to lowest tier.
@@btodtv i was talking about the order of appearance in the video. i was not talking about the links
With such videos where you're reviewing multiple products, a recap at the end is helpful. Great review video overall! 👍🏽
Since you have a problem with the velcro sleeve was the fact it only has one exit and entrance. That can be changed with. Just use a pair of scissors to cut a slot where you want to have a cable come out and go into the sleeve.
If you have to change the product for it to work, it's not a good product lol
What would be a good recommendation for a glass table as some of the best ones here require it to be screwed into the desk which I cant do?
Great video! Can I make a suggestion?
When you put the links in the description, any chance you can organize these by tier list, makes it easier for us viewers.
This
That's a good suggestion, we typically list them based on the order they are in the video. I'll consider. - RG
Other influencers that create lists like this actually do put the links in the comments section neatly organized in the order of their ranked "tier lists." This is an organization video after all...
@@btodtv The products could still be listed in the order they show up in the video. Each product could simply show the tier as well, like "Humanscale NeatTech Mesh Basket - S tier"
very useful! Subscribed.
Wow! Definitely one of the best, if not the best, reviews of cable management options on YT.
I have a desk that has an underside frame that precludes me using underside mounted cable trays as it blocks the ability to open the tray. It would be nice if some of these cable trays had a mounting on the back side as well so I could mount it on the frame in the correct upright orientation instead of a perpendicular orientation that make its opening fall forwards instead of down to access cables and power bars.
The One and Unique video that rule them all !
Not everyone is this hardcore about cable management... But for those that are, I'm your guy 😆 - RG
Bro is the cable management connoisseur 🤣, love the video
Could the items in the description be organized by tiers? Thanks for the video!
The back of my desk is in the middle of my office so the back is visible - a lot of cable management doesn't help with that - but I think there are some good options here that will work. Thanks for the overview!
I love this video. It's so helpful to see you compare them, especially when it's so hard to navigate through tons of products and it's hard to decide on what to get. I will definitely be picking a few of these products from the list/links.
Happy to hear it was helpful for you!! - RG
The Dell MSA20 and MDA20 have good cable management for those monitor arms as far as I have heard. My request is that BTOD takes a look at them in their next monitor arm video. Thanks for all the helpful info you guys give 😊
Cable management on those is definitely superior to Ergotron, and even much better than Humanscale.
Hey BTODtv guys, I got one of your lamia chairs and I'm loving it, just can't figure out a way to tighten the resistance on the back. I wana lean back but not tooo much.
The knob below the seat (says upper back force on it). Crank it to the right, or away from you when you're sitting down. This should do the trick. If not, give our customer service team a call and they'd love to help. - RG
@@btodtv I can't find a knob saying upper back force but there's one with a plus and minus sign that when I twist, I can feel the tension in the knob but not the backrest. Not sure if I'm just doing it wrong or if my chair is a little finagly.
@@btodtv My bad I said lamia but meant the Ameap!
Don't rank your own product, for god’s sake.
Why? -Greg
@@btodtv Do you really have to ask? Because you can't not be biased.
A 205 dollar product should never be in S-tier. It's cable management... An S-tier product is something that offers great quality for the price. You even mentioned putting the mesh one in A-tier because of the price. (Oh and after writing that and checking the price, I see that it's also a BTOD product. C'mon man...)
Besides, for all the BTOD products you mentioned, you almost exclusively mentioned the positives. While also leaving out it was a BTOD product for most. See how I wrote product in my original comment? Didn't even know it was MULTIPLE.
It just screams promotional video. And you aren't even mentioning that it's your own product. It's honestly kind-of predatory behavior. You're abusing the trust that these people have in your credibility in order to promote your own (might I say overpriced) products.
@@itspodinthat's very cringe and biased
@itspodin I thought the $200 dollar price point was fine for the quality.
It’s an informative free video. So what if they wanna slip their product in. Again, free informative video.
can you do a tier list for foot rests? There are a lot of options available on amazon and idk which ones are good, but as a short person I really feel like I need one for my desk
good idea tho
Work in progress :) -Greg
This is an excellent overview of what it’s available. Thanks.
Good round-up. Sadly, anything with adhesive is a bit of a tough sell for me, which limits the list quite a bit.
Please review the new LTT magnetic cable management
I'd take the cable tidy kit out of S and put it in F tier. The stick on cable routing clips are only good for a couple of months before they start coming off. I've been through loads of them. I'd avoid anything with 3M sticky tabs if you want it to last longer than a few months. The velcro cable ties that were included in your kit are very good and useful though. I bought a pack of 100 for a few bucks on amazon and they've lasted 2 years and I still have about 50 left!
I did not know that I need this video!
Any videos on standing desk cable managent?
wow , your clip help me save money ALOT !!! Superlike
Awesome! Glad it was helpful - RG
great video, thanks!
Will your tray be available in Europe someday? 👀 Looks great :)
What are your thoughts on incorporating uninterruptable power supplies into your workstation instead of using a surge protector?
You really only need it for sensitive electronics like PC and Laptops. And if you get a black out you're mostly likely just to lose unsaved data. It's about a 150$ to 200$ for peace of mind.
It's fair to say that the most expensive option on this list is in a completely different league.
I think quite a few ppl are just upset by the fact that it's made by same company that is also reviewing other products, and also because it's easy to jump on the hate bandwagon.
I'm happy with my relatively cheap yet functional non-drill cable management tray for now, but would certainly look to buy something that looks and feels solid.
The ultimate cable management tool is Hexcal Studio with bunch of functions integrated. It's expensive but not so expensive when I find your cable tray is $200 lol
Earned a sub for this video! Thanks so much for the info.
What's the power strip used in this video? looks really nice~
There's several different power strips I used. Which one are you specifically interested in? - RG
@@btodtv the very first one used with the stand up desk store tray
That one is the Monster Just Power It Up power strip. I bought it at a local hardware store. I don't believe they can be found on Amazon. - RG
nice vid
What about the solutions for glass desks?
Damn I wish the products in the comments section were segmented by Tiers too. Haha. Excellent video
Why can’t I access your site? It says blocked
I have two of the BTOD cable management boxes and they are the best. I used to have separate desks for Mac and PC and liked them. Now it’s all combined and I couldn’t live without these boxes. One is completely full - the desk has a Mac, PC, Steam Deck, headphone dac and amp, speaker equipment, USB hubs, two power strips from the UPS on the floor, and more. It’s all neatly organized and fit’s perfectly. Closing the box is so satisfying and I would never use a different solution for this desk.
Dig the Sleeve method... aint gonna lie, some cut 2x2, 1x4, wood glue, zipties probably cost as much as that clip kit...while offering DIY flexibility for any application.
Anything that clamps on??? I dont want to screw or stick anything to my desk
I use the IKEA SIGNUM and RABALDER which are cheap and work well. I'm not seeing RABALDER on the US site though so not sure if they're discontinuing it or just don't sell it online here. I have filled up the RABALDER, though, so maybe it would be better if it were a bit bigger, but I am routing a lot of cables.
I've tested the SIGNUM. Not a bad product. Holds a lot of cables, but I prefer management product that are able to hide my mess more than the SIGNUM does. I haven't tested the RABALDER. Looks like it would function just like an Alex Tech sleeve. I'm wondering if the RABALDER makes noise if you have an adjustable desk? - RG
@@btodtv It doesn't make noise on my adjustable desk. I like how it's white to blend into my wall and I see the Alex Tech sleeve comes in white as well.
@@btodtv Yes, it doesn't hide your cable, but it is way more flexible than most of the others, especially if you need swap something out and you dont need access to the back of your desk to do so. In addition to having built in cable wrapping. In addition to being removable or being able to reposition with a couple thumb screws. In a normal desk config in a house, you would almost never see it anyhow unless you were 4ft tall or 20ft back from your desk.
Zip ties are S tier for me. Unmatched in price, strength, and ease of use 💪
Velcro straps are better.
I'd love to see some other brands like IKEA mixed in. For me Amazon shipping and import is rather expensive, so almost none of the products are actually worth getting for me.
Otherwise love your videos, great content and insight 😄
I am only 35 and using any adhesive based cable management solutions has already proven useless after 4-8 months. I have never had anything last as long as I needed it to before doing a desk refresh. Stick to Zip ties, screw downs cable boxes, and the Alex Tech type cable sleeves, these are the only solutions that you can rely on for more than a years time.
S-tier cable management for me: Pegboards (Ikea or whatsoever) + cable clips + velcro for cable from monitors and cpu = all cables are gone. 😂
I actually like how they're branching out to office accessories in these videos.
What else should BTOD review?
Glad you're enjoying these vids! We'd love to hear more feedback on products you'd like to see us review. - RG
@@btodtv Well, the possibilities are endless when it comes to home/office/gaming accessories. If desk chairs are the core of BTODtv, then starting with accessories that compliment chairs would be a good starting point. Adjustable desks, foot rests, desk pads for mice, etc. Question then remains, would electronics be later included in BTODtv?
S tier
Norocme Cord Management
BTOD Cable Management Box
Tidy Helper Clips
Trilancer Cable Ties
You’re welcome.
Why use so many power strips instead of a battery backup for computer?
God tier guide
Thank you! Hope it was helpful. - RG
So which ones are the S-tier ones?
It would have been nice to see cable spines included in the review to help those with standing desks that don't want their cables directly under the desk. Also with Zip ties I would have recommended recloseable zip ties that can be reused and opened in the event of adds, changes or removals of cables.
10:18
If you're using a standing desk and keeping all of your cables, adapters, power strips, etc. on the floor, then this video probably isn't for you anyway. Just the nature of ensuring enough loose cable for each device is hanging down to accommodate the rise and fall of the desktop is enough to drive me crazy. With everything under the desk you know exactly what length you need, there's no fear of damaging anything when a cable is too short, and you're not constantly getting your feet caught up in the wires. The only thing I have near the floor and visible is the power cable going to the wall.
Here’s a tip it will cost you some money but you can start by buying shorter cables. That helps with not having to bunch the longer cables up.
wow, this video should be S tier
I just noticed the only S tier box is BTOD box and that's the same name as your channel, hmm
You’re an internet sleuth! -Ryan
It's also $204, yet it still made it to the S-tier :)
How do you keep leaving off the OG, the GOAT, the Ikea Signum.
This was a miss, it should have been included. BONUS ranking... I don't love the Signum. I would give it a low C tier. Functionality it's a B, but looks-wise it's a D. Everything is too exposed. The price is good though for what you're getting. - RG
surprised that the ikea signum is not featured here...
2:18 Aren't these gonna mess with signal integrity?
6:27 you can literally see the cable getting pushed down by the desk, what else did you expect to happen with the magnets?
Exactly. That's why I didn''t recommend these for a standing desk. Very nice looking product though for a standard non-adjustable desk. - RG
@@btodtv I have an Uplift desk with their version of the magnetic wire channel addon, and it has the same problem, though perhaps less pronounced. I "fixed" the issue of slippage by strapping it to the leg with velcro wraps, but at that point I suppose it's just a band-aid on a bloody steak, eh?
Good video, didn’t mind you rated your own product but I wish you explicitly disclosed. I had no idea until I read the top comment. Feels a bit unethical to not disclose. Overall, thanks for the no frills overview
You had no idea that a product that the presenter called “the BTOD …” and was labeled on screen as the “BTOD….”, with a link in the descriptiok labeled BTOD on a channel named BTOD was from BTOD? -Ryan
Great video. In my opinion there is just one mistake in your test process. You look at the items as the table would be free in the room. Typically tables are backed to the wall and then the accessibility becomes a huge struggle when you want to change or add something.
That was my first thought as well!
I greatly appreciate this information!! It would also be really helpful if you could put the rankings in the description. I just watched the entire video and now have to watch it a second time to match each product in the description with its ranking. ARGH.
If you click the link in the description, you can download the guide that puts them in order from S to F tier, plus includes prices and links to each product -GK
@@btodtv Thank you, I’ll do that!!

my cables stay where they fall so I'm alpha tier
I ordered the PAMO cable management trays and they rock!!! Thank you for this amazing comparison. :-)
Glad they worked out for you! You're welcome. - RG
how about a list organized by rating? I watched the entire video and now I wanted to check out the top rated ones but I must be missing how to see the winners first. doh
Should have it live next week :) -Greg
"I put this in A Tier only because the price is a bit high" ----- $137
"S tier" ----- $205 ----- Labeled as "BTOD" ----- Just say "We made it so we gave it S tier and a high pricetag"
Sit stand desks make it tough to cable manage
You nailed it! Not only are they more difficult to manage, but moving the desk up exposes a lot. Makes finding products that conceal your cables more important. Thanks for watching - RG
The only tough part is going from the desk itself to your power source. I have my desk situated so that the end of my desk is against the wall near the outlet. I have a power strip mounted on the wall just above my desk's surface when in sitting position. That way, for the standing position, the cables don't have to reach very much further. I see most people mount the power strip to the bottom surface of the desk itself. I haven't found a way to do that that I would be satisfied with. Which is why I keep watching these cable management videos.
why is everything good not shipped do EU wtf
A >$200 metal box? You're out of your mind. lol
3:04 That's some.... interesting bias you've got there. Can't imagine where that's coming from...
Comes from him bringing in thousands of dollars worth of cable management and being able to identify the worst products and the best products because he has more experience than anyone else. -Ryan
@@btodtv my man, it's your own company's product. Take the hint with the sarcasm 😅
I’m cringing so hard at that cable wrapping technique…. Don’t crimp your cables ever!!!! Wrap them properly. Please, wrap them in an over under circle and tie them on one side.. then you can compress into an oval shape if needed… but your cables will always lay straight and flat.
So much organization and cable management just to make cluttered video for youtube, just give me the S tier list and links
Sorry... i don't understain the rank..... s is super, a is good and f is bad?? Descrive me rank please
at least make it clear that some are your own product lmao
How do you know that some of these are our products if we didn’t make it clear? -Ryan
Wow, the BTOD product is "S-Tier" what a shock.
And other BTOD stuff isn’t. And others brands are also S tier…lol -Greg
Can someone explain the costs of these metal boxes... PC cases with tempered glass cost around 100 and have way more complexity to make. What is this overpriced S*&T. How can you say not overly expensive for a metal rectangle with few holes and a hinged door
so arbitrary =|
Thanks for watching! - RG
Immediately discredited the BTOD product when it wasn't disclosed as your own product.
How did you know it was a BTOD product if we didn’t disclose it? -Ryan
I'm pretty sure I heard him say "BTOD" in the video. For both of their products that were featured. Does that not count as disclosing that it's their product? I'm just curious why only one of their offereings was placed in S tier and not both of them? 🤔
Lol you ranked your own ish, get out of here. 😂
Ignore that tier list. Its an AD for own products. 200$ for fc cable menegment with no good benefits......jesh.
Robert did a great job providing value with this. So much information which is why people were so happy with it. You can always ignore our products and focus on the countless others 😉 -Greg
I like how every single one of these is the desk in the middle of the floor so you can access the back.... dumb dumb, REAL PEOPLE HAVE THEIR DESK UP AGAINST A WALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!! Do you not realize how THAT affects how these MIGHT be rated?????????
