8:45 For UPS, you only really need one with about an hour of storage unless you plan on plugging a lot of stuff into it. The goal *should be* "alright, powers out, let's just close down the PC safely" and NOT "let's squeeze out some more time on the PC".
This is 100% true, but it should also be mentioned that buying the cheapest UPS you see is also probably not the best idea. A larger, higher quality UPS could offer you better efficiency, saving you some amount of money on electricity. A cheap UPS may not be as reliable, and have a shorter lifespan, or less accessible batteries for replacement. A high quality UPS can offer some peace of mind that it will properly protect any equipment that you plug into it and not burn your entire house down. Some UPS devices offer a few extra features or software that others may lack which help you track power outages, consistency, consumption, etc. I'm not trying to scare anyone into wasting money on a fancy UPS that they don't need, but it's good to keep in mind that you could wind up using the same UPS for decades, replacing the battery every 3-5 years, and it's worth doing some research so that you can be confident in what you're buying. It may be that newer UPS technology will render the current typical models obsolete for some reason or another, but a great brand new UPS right now might only cost you $130-$180 anyway. Also as a quick PSA, make sure you read safety guidelines and don't do anything they explicitly say not to, such as plugging your UPS into a power strip rather than directly into the wall, because that could quite literally start a fire.
Even if you click the scroll wheel, you’d still need to use up and down wrist movement for it to actually scroll infinitely, which still stresses the wrist at some point, unlike having your actual mouse scroll to infinitely scroll, no wrist movement is required but only the fingers.
I like that you focused on the ergonomics of a setup instead of the look of a setup. While having a super clean and aesthetician setup can be great, it's not as great as a comfortable setup. Keep up the good work.
I got a cool looking leather office chair 4 years ago for my desk, and within a year I developed some serious neck and back pain, exercise helped me overcome that thankfully. Sent that to my sisters house for her visitors and customers and half of its leather has basically come off. 2 years ago I purchased a more ergonomic focused chair and I love it so much. No problems aside from light neck pain every now and then from a low monitor position, and a lot of leaning forward while standing, but a monitor stand completely alleviated that first issue and saved up a lot of desk space for studying. I cant vouch for anything else but man this was money more than well spent.
