  • This video is part of a new series I'm bringing to the channel called 'Tana Translated' where I take things you're used to doing in other apps and translate them into the Tana Way 😀
If you're a long-time Roam Research user and you've been missing your right sidebar - you're in luck. In this video, I'm going to show you how you can re-create a Roam Right sidebar in Tana - without any Fancy CSS hacks.
The right sidebar is how I keep everything in focus that I need no matter where I am in Tana. I can check my agenda, track my time & keep things I want to think about & use within easy reach. It's a great addition to any workspace - even if you never used Roam.
Enjoy this simple workflow that can help you find more flow in your workspace.

Great video Ev - practical examples and how to use them is a much-needed step in learning Tana. Too often Tana tutorials seem to assume you have a Master's Degree in information science…

Great video tutorial! This Roam Research sidebar tip is a game-changer. Keeping my inbox page open and accessible at all times will definitely help me stay organized and on top of things. Thanks for sharing this valuable information!

Thanks for watching & glad you found it helpful! I've definitely noticed my inbox gets emptied much more by keeping it in the sidebar than it ever did hidden away!

Great video EV! And love this new series concept. There IS one burning wish from me to have translated into Tana. I’m a long term user of Mark Joyner’s Simpleology, and this would be amazing to have replicated in Tana. That way I could focus on just Tana instead of shifting focus between the two apps all day (I currently use Tana for permanent and working notes as my second brain, and use Simpleology to track goals, projects and tasks). Many thanks Ev! 🙌

OK! I’m adding it to the list. Thanks for suggesting it, I’d never heard of it before but looks like something we could absolutely translate into Tana!

Wish this was native in Tana. I've realised how reliant I've become at Roam's right sidebar! :D
