- I never thought I would be making this video. I've always thought time blocking just wasn't for me - I need freedom and creativity in my day, not a rigid plan. But ever since I started planning my day with a daily agenda calendar view I find I'm more creative, I get more done & I have energy left at the end of the day.
So in this video, I want to show you how to use Tana Calendar View as a daily agenda to manage your day and be super productive without overscheduling!

Good video
I must admit this is more sensible than me typing @today or @now all the time.
It is genuinely awesome that Tana is now capable handling so many disparate use cases, from simple outlining to full-blown visual time-blocking. However, I still find that some of these more “advanced” workflows get too finicky to set up and consistently use. For this time blocking use case, for example, it’s a lot of work to set it up and you end up with a solution that’s maybe half as good as Sunsama.
I still use Tana, though. The fact that it can handle *everything* is clearly a winner. But it still has a ways to mature before it can handle everything *gracefully*.
The thing to remember is Sunsama is purpose built for one thing. Someone built it and maintains all the technical stuff for you.
Tana is a blank slate where you are both developer and user. So I think it’s always going to be maybe more heavy on the setup side.
But you’re right. The benefit is that everything is in Tana. And you can set it up in a way that works for you, rather than how someone else thinks you should work.
Wow. Thank you so much Eve. It´s a great tool thta can help me to organize my agenda and workflow more efectively. Thank you for all your work and for sharing it with all of us.
You're so welcome!
Fantastic tutorial. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Whoa, this is #awesomesauce Ev! I followed along quite happily until just over half way through then lost track of where I was so will have to re-watch again while doing the set up. Such a nifty bit of programming.
Have now successfully completed this and added to my core daily hub - works great and easy to use. Highly recommend this and thanks for sharing, Ev!
Great to hear Sally!
Hi Eve, you did a video for me a few months back on "set file" and "move file" to consolidate records and the to move them into a new workplace. Unfortunately I need it again and Slack won't let me see anything beyond 90 days. So if you feel inspired to record how to do that here! Im sure others would benefit as well. XXOO
I would really like to join the course.. would you have a discount code i could use ?
Yep email me (ev@evchapman.com) with your situation and I’ll see what I can do.
Hey, this is amazing content.
The live search did not work for me i got no result and a tip that says "value should be a date"
I replaced "set (exists, and has a value" by nothing and it now works! 🙏
Ah perfect! Glad you got it working
