    Why has no one issued a memo to men EVERYWHERE!? Doesn’t anyone realize what he’s just DONE?
    Males of our species have been trying to understand why women behave in such selfish and shortsighted ways for tens of thousands of years. It’s been our weakness from the beginning, and the source of 9/10ths of their hood over us… But he just put it all into perspective by providing an analogy men could FINALLY understand! I refer you to the Great Ones comments at 2:15.
    A Li-Po battery is to a man… what a PENIS is to a women! 🤯

      Or reuse a thin slab of plastic to bend with a little heat to get it into the right shape to fit perfectly on top of it.
      Having an exposed battery like this looks a little dangerous to carry around as you don't want something to poke right through it by mistake.

    That's similar to what I did to the wireless headset I'm wearing now. I removed the internal battery and mounted an externally accessible 16350 holder. More importantly than being higher-capacity, it's swappable, meaning I can swap in a charged battery in seconds and don't ever need to keep the headset plugged in to charge it.
    I'm almost disappointed that you didn't connect the phone to your massive 5x cordless power-tool battery.

    I had the same idea of connecting power bank lipo to phone but didn't do it because of the main problem. The lipo is bare. Sharp objects can puncture it and cause a short circuit. If phone falls, it might explode if you're very unlucky. The lipo also adds weight to the phone so if phone falls display facing down, the lipo weight can crack the LCD. Also most phones today have lipos with nominal 3.85v and full charge at 4.40v. Phone internal charge ic might never fully charge it

    Did you change the capacity in the system files?
    You had to root it too.
    Theoretically, to make use of a larger battery capacity you just have to do it, or else it'll show the same stock capacity regardless of it's real capacity.
    Don't know if it's possible to do it on iphone tho.
    Also the weight of battery doesn't really mean you can run ur phone for week, it depends on how much ur cpu, gpu and screen uses and how much mah that battery has.

    • @markifi
      @markifi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      sure you can as long as you understand the risks@@vuaeco just make sure that there's not more than 0.1 Volt per cell difference between the cells if you want to avoid an equalisation current too high for the cell to handle. although this idea could make the battery you carry not usable specifically when you need it the most when your phone is empty but the external battery is full. i like your foam case you've made. my idea could even be done using a magnetic connector but then it's even more dangerous when the cell voltages diverge and you connect back up. just out of curiosity, what does the phone do when you supply your exact battery voltage through the lightning port? could it be that it's possible to achieve your modification with a clever charger that only gives 4.2 V when the internal battery is at 100%, 4.1 V when 80%, etc. etc. 3.5 V in the lightning port when the phone is at 10%? or it doesn't work like this. all i want to achieve is avoid charging losses but still have 20 days of navigation under a kilogram, but a fairly new external baseus pack with ~60 watthours of cells in it somehow only charges the 5000 mAh phone twice, that is 3 days of navigation for 600 grams, thanks for reading

    What a great idea it is to circumnavigate a manufacturer's idea to condemn it's customers to a set standard. Just like your good self I seldom use the phone as I really do not get an orgasm using it. No texting, messaging much less using social media with it & when I talk, 2/3 minutes suffices otherwise I get either ear &/ jaw ache. I did however once used it to find an address using Map app & one could see the battery literally draining away. Luckily as I work from home, I am not so desperate that I have to use an insignificant screen when I can do all my work/research on 27 inches of desktop. Very well done. Kind regards.

  • @mwbgaming28

    the ultimate clickbaity title would be "iPhone 5S with removable battery"
    seriously though, i thought apple had a built in self destruct system that would trigger if the phone has been tampered with in this manner, im seriously impressed with this
    i have done similar mods for my DS lite, PSP, my friends switch, and my smartwatch
    but i never thought in a million years that it would work for an Apple device
    if it works for iPads i might double the already impressive battery life of my iPad, and possibly even upgrade my ulefone power 5 with a few extra cells

      Hi MWB Gaming, I've softmodded my PSP but no physical mods (apart from accidentally dropping it from too high). I'm curious what mods you did for your PSP and if you could also drop me some links for how you did them. Much appreciated! :D

    • @mwbgaming28
      @mwbgaming28 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Calbe123 I did a similar method that he did here
      I didn't make any videos of it or post any pictures online but Il tell you how I did it below
      With the PSP you cut the battery open and solder wires to the connection points where the battery cell connects to the BMS board, drill a small hole in the plastic cover of the battery and run the wires through the hole then reassemble the battery pack (you may need to stick it together with duct tape)
      Drill or file a small hole in the battery housing cover and run the wires through it to the outside of the PSP
      You can then connect more cells to those wires and they will all be in parallel, you will get longer runtime
      The battery life estimate in the settings menu will be inaccurate but the battery meter in the top right corner of the screen should still be reasonably accurate (it was with me anyway)
      I added 2 small Li-Po cells (one on each side of the UMD tray) and my battery life went from 3hrs to 12hrs instantly

    • @Calbe123
      @Calbe123 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mwbgaming28 Thanks, I greatly appreciate your reply. May I ask where/what you got your Li-Po cells from? Also, did you remove your initial battery or add it in parallel with the new cells? Lastly, do you know if it matters which Li-ion/Li-Po cells you use in parallel if they all are charged to the same voltage?

    • @mwbgaming28
      @mwbgaming28 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Calbe123
      I got my Li-Po cells from eBay, if you don't mind waiting a month for shipping, you can get 1500mah cells from china for around $20AUD for a pack of 5 cells (depending on what country you are in, you can probably get them locally if you are ok with paying more)
      These cells should work, they are a little bigger than the ones I used (the seller I got mine off is out of stock), but they should still fit www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-7V-2000mAh-Li-polymer-Battery-505060-For-MP5-DVD-GPS-Camera-Tablet-PC-2pcs-86/173411789932?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20180306143916%26meid%3D6b4c2740be7e40208676c339ff5711c6%26pid%3D100935%26rk%3D9%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D111725967705%26itm%3D173411789932&_trksid=p2349624.c100935.m2460
      I left the original cell inside the battery pack as it still held a charge reasonably well, no sense in throwing away free capacity
      **Important**
      *Be very careful when soldering the wires to the BMS board, (I recommend soldering to the tabs on the original cell instead) you MUST NOT damage the BMS board, the PSP uses the BMS board during its boot sequence, remove the battery pack and the device will not power up (even if you wire a cell directly to the PSP battery contacts), I am not sure if it has volatile memory, so remove the old cell before connecting a new one at your own peril (I recommend soldering the new cell in place, then removing the old cell if you really want to remove it)*
      You can use any type of lithium ion or Li-Po cell, this should work with old phone batteries, 18650 cells, Li-Po cells.etc (just don't use lifepo4 cells, they are rated for a lower voltage and will be destroyed)
