- What's up horror fiends and book lovers?
Today I wanted to continue my Author Spotlight series with a feature on another one of my favorite contemporary horror writers, Ronald Malfi! I have a pretty basic criteria for this series. Each author must have written at least three works of fiction, and I must have read at least three of their books. The author needs to be of the horror or thriller genre and have written books within the last fifteen years. That's it!

I’ve been reading “They Lurk”. My first introduction to the author. I love his style. Pretty simple and direct. Not bogged down in so much detail. It’s like I’m watching the story play out in my head like a movie…
Im reading Come with me, my first experience reading Malfi and so far im loving the vibe. His style reminds me of Blue velvet era David Lynch, not outright supernatural horror but a mysterious uncanny atmosphere. Cant wait to read more.

I got Come With Me in a nightworms package. I read it almost immediately and it did not disappoint. That was my first Ronald Malfi book. Now I just want to read everything he’s ever written.
Come With Me was soooo good! You should check out Floating Staircase. It's very similar in tone, but not quite as sad.
I'v e read everything Malfi. My favorite? The Narrows followed by Bone White and then December Park. I like 'em all.
Malfi is such a great author! Can't wait for his new book this year!
I have been acquiring his Kindle editions lately. They're often for sale, so you can get them for a good deal. Excited to dig into them when the mood strikes!

I plan on reading Come With Me next month since it's set in December 😉 it will be my first Malfi book. I also bought Little Girls when I saw it at Target.

Most of the books I asked for for Christmas were books I didn't get to this year that I found from you lol. Come With Me is one of the ones I'm most excited to read.
I really think you're going to love Come With Me. It just blew my mind when I read it.

I read Come With Me in October and loved it. I'd not heard of him before but definitely want to read more now I feel like I've "discovered" him.
He's such a great author. If you liked Come With Me I definitely recommend Floating Staircase. It's also a creepy ghost story, very similar to Come With Me in tone.

Picked up the Cemetery Dance "Little Girls," and gotta admit: Wasn't that crazy about it. But would like to give Malfi another try. Probably "December Park."
I just picked this up at a thrift store as well but haven’t read it yet, it will be my first Malfi read.
I recently got the Cemetery Dance copy, too, but I haven't read it yet. Definitely check out December Park. That novel blew me away.
Ronald Malfi is my favorite author. December Park is my favorite book of all time. Come With Me is brilliant as well.

I just discovered Malfi and now i am on my 3rd book in a row. Bone White got me hooked, The Night Parade was amazing and now Come With Me will not let me put it down.

That's the next Malfi book on my list to read. I recently got the limited edition Cemetery Dance copy of it. So hoping to get to it soon.
