    California here and we need a lot of things for emissions even tho it’s never snowing where I live it gets cold enough to warrant having those hoses 🔥

      @JarrodWillemse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe but if your car is tuned then they take that into consideration and tune that out so not needed. Maybe on a stock car but can just increase idle speed a bit to compensate.

      @@JarrodWillemse possibly just seems like a solution to a problem the factory already solved. 🤷🏾‍♂️
      I always battle with the dream of making this a full race build, but then knowing I have to daily drive this build and also being in one of the most restrictive states in the union with cops and emissions.
      Legally I have to have my cam gears covered and the plastic timing belt cover on and everything visible so I don’t fail visual. Before they even run the sniffer in the back.

      @@jamessullivan4979 I removed it not because it doesn't work but because maybe one day that hose difficult to reach at the back of the engine might break and leave me stranded.
      Since i don't daily drive the car a rough cold start doesn't bother me. I doubt the rough cold start will make that much more of a difference to the environment taking into considerations all the other modification that are done. Plus i only drive the car once a month.
      Everyone makes their own decisions based on their own circumstances but for me it doesn't present more positives than negatives.

    sorry, I have an original b16a2 with some mods such as exhaust and air filter... I was thinking of putting a skunk2 intake manifold and 74mm butterfly but, can I easily mount all this and walk or do I have to map? what did you do?

    • @JarrodWillemse
      @JarrodWillemse  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi mate you won’t see a massive gain with those mods on a stock engine. They will be best suited for cams or high comp. You could try a type r manifold. You definitely need a tune after installing the amount of air will be different.

      If I only put the skunk2 ultra street intake manifold and 70mm or 74mm throttle, do I have to remap? if so, what ecu is needed?

    Do you have to have a fuel rail or bigger injecters if u put intake manifold and throttle body?

      @JarrodWillemse  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a aem fuel rain and Bosch injectors but you don’t need. Stock fuel rail and injectors is fine for a retune.

    • @daisbestDA9
      @daisbestDA9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would have costed more to port the manifold than the s2 one cost, that's why you don't see people using stock ported manifolds..

    • @96jpaulo
      @96jpaulo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@daisbestDA9 i'm not from the uk, if thats how it is then good on him. In my country you can port it cheaper than s2. But the s2 is definetly the better choice(the inside is the equivalent size to a ported itr manifold if its the s2 v3 i think) for those with stock b16 intake (i'm also tempted by the blox v3 for my b18c4/b16 head project) although a lot of people love to port the stock manifold, those long runners really help the midrange.
