That's the one thing I dislike about it, geralt is described as a tall lanky character... The first game had the best depiction in that trailer when he was fighting the striga. the pale, skinny face with the yellow glowing eyes, and then the beast like personality, because of the mutations, nothing will match it
@@WhiterunGuard001 Geralt does look bigger than the other witchers in the third game (maybe except for the chubby Vesemir). Such design seems confusing when you see ordinary peasants or bandits scowling or threatening this cold killing machine (literally the first scenes of the game). There's also armor - most look well, really cool, but they make Geralt look even bigger, even the "light" kinds. Geralt is no longer able to deceive with his appearance, which makes some scenes in the game dumb, where enemies believe that the target in front of them is quite defeatable. The game feels like you're playing as some kind of ripper who focuses on brute strength and armor, when in fact the focus should have been on agility, speed, and technique with no margin for error, although I have to admit - for a classic RPG it's not quite usual. Well at least instead of gameplay they reflected that in the animations, which turned out cool. Though I'm afraid to imagine how Geralt will be enlarged in the 4th game haha

@@Simon_GamingChannel Oh, cool. Thanks for the explanation, I was able to use the swords on the hip mod to change the swords' positions and look cool with the hoods mod. 🤗
Tbh that is literally a cloak for travelling as in you put it on top of all of your gear for protection from the elements. Geralt wouldn't be wearing a cloak if he was prepared for a fight. The swords would be on Roach as seen in the "Killing monsters" trailer. Looks awesome though.
Real witcher? Witchers mainly rely on speed, dodging and precision, not on brute strength. Geralt is not supposed to be a giant buff dude. If you wanted to feel like a real witcher you only need to play Witcher 1 on hardest difficulty ;)
Micah wasnt the rat and its goofy that people consistently call him a rat but he is the most honest in the gang with what he thinks of them , what he wants to happen and more. He also denies it even when he and arthur are fighting alone. Abigail was the rat so she could save her son and husband from a criminal life and terrible deaths. Besides agent miltons plan was to tell abigail , who he let go to tell the gang micah is the rat which would instantly split the gang up . . . which it did and the pinkertons moved in. Curious . . .
Yes, it's actually the eyes that I have the biggest dilemma about. In the book, his eyes didn't normally glow, except when he took potions, and it was more like a cat's eyes reflecting light rather than glowing on their own. Unfortunately, there are no mods like that, and the glowing eyes look pretty cool in the video.
I have tried for 50 or so hours to get into this game and I never could. Most of that time was spent playing for a while, stopping, then restarting when I come back. I think it’s the combat that really took me out of it. It’s so floaty and nothing feels like it has weight or impact.
the combat is garbage but if you build your character properly it can be even a bit fun (with the right skills) but best is to set easy difficulty and just play for the story and atmosphere
@@Simon_GamingChannel yeah I really hate that about the game. I loved the world, characters, and storytelling from what I experienced, but I just can’t get passed the gameplay. It really does suck, and it takes me out of it every time.
I'm having trouble with this Cape Mod (I'm assuming this is by Wiedzm and the Hoods mod), but it feels like this mod is not compatible with Friendly HUD which is a must-have mod for me. Any ideas why this is or how to fix the issue?
In the books witchers do have two separate swords with the same steel for humans and silver for monsters concept but geralt is usually described as only having one on his back the other he usually keeps on his horse.
Gerald typically only carried his steel sword. He kept his silver sword stashed away in an oilcloth. My understanding is only certain monsters need silver swords in the books. The games AFAIK streamlined things, and made it so you just always use silver for monsters.
Witchers in books had always one sword (steel) on the back, a the other (silver) on the horse. Silver was very rarely used cause it was very expensive and soft and not that many beasts actually had weakness on silver. So it's actually awesome mod that there is only one sword on Geralts back :D
I get this video is focused on the aesthetics but you killed it far too easily. You didn't even drink a single potion. Feeling like a witcher is about danger and difficulty which you can achieve by installing the Enemy Scaling Overhaul mod and at least give the poor gharkain a little more health.
Just because Geralt was originally written to have a head band doesnt mean its a good design choice, writers are not designers. Not everyones concepts are going to work and in this case it just doesnt. It looks tacky af.
