If I ever had the chance to completely forget anything and everything about something, it would be Witcher 3 just so that I can experience this masterpiece all over again.
Actually, if you choose to patch up the wall during the battle of kaer morhen, those stairs will be blocked after the end of that questline but if you choose to clear the armory instead of patching the wall, the stairs will be clear.

I don't think it's possible, well the thing if even if you choose to clear the armory, the stairs will be blocked but only for the duration of the battle, as soon as you get the snowball fight with Ciri, if you're on PC use nvidia ansel to check immediately if you made the right choice, I always do this. Kaer Morhen is still a home to me, I still go back to rest and hunt there.

It would've been great if they had Yennifer up there brushing her hair naked like in the beginning, and gave her a line of dialogue like "What are you doing back here?" hinting to both the start of the game when she tells you to go to Ciri on the wall, and also to the fact that you're in an ostensibly unreachable location.
That would be awesome, but also a bit creepy. Like the characters pursuing an own life unknown to the player. It would feel as if I had crossed a border to a forbidden realm.
all these years, still a great game. Hoping Witcher 4 (and 1 remake) will have similar art style as this. Witcher 3, while looking realistic, still have a stylized look to it especially in its use of colors. It looks and feels like in a fairytale sometimes

I remember being in Kaer morhen after the end I felt so sad and then I went for hos which was bitter sweet the whole time and then after bow talking with Regis about the journey felt so different as I've played the whole trilogy, I've never felt such emotions while playing a game and never had such a strong connection to the world itself, what a ride, all the credit goes to everyone at cdpr they really put their soul into the project,I hope they continue with the same passion,much love to them and the whole community. PS: Books are also awesome.
BaW saved our sanity with its proper ending instead of that artificial drop off in an empty Kaer Morhen, in a dead world. And still, after the final drink with Regis, when I found myself alone by the fire the next morning I could almost cry. It was the first time that "quest completed" sound felt sad instead of victorious. I'm still craving for that world.
I hope so, but witcher 1 itself isnt all that fun or well designed. At what point does it stop being a remake and becoma an entirely new game. Quests are very fetchy and boring, enemies and combat is way less fun imo, characters dont speak with much emotion. Its not a shit game for its time, it just isnt amazing either. Idk what their remake means, having the same lore and doing an entirely new game, or brushing up graphics and mechanics. Because if its not an entirely new game with the same lore, it isnt going to be similar to tw3. But that witcher 4 in the far future excites me.

In the quest where you must fight Imlerith you can actually kill him 2 times, before boss battle when you are going trough that big gate in mountain, you must try climibing on hill left to the gate before you enter it. Imlerith will be sitting on throne as npc neutral (sadly you cant play gwent with him :/), he will fight you only if you attack him. Im Polish so sorry for my mistakes in english
Dude, TW3 is one of the only games I have over 1200 hours in, and have 100%-ed multiple times, and I never knew that. I'm definitely gonna do this next time I start again.
Replaying this atm and am actually here doing Wolf School gear hunts. Not going to try this as I don't see much point, but it's really cool that it can be done, and that the room reflects that Yen isn't there anymore after the prologue, or there yet before the Battle of Kaer Morhen. Great touch by the Devs
I doing this in 2016, if i remember it right. I completed the main quest and before going through the DLS, I decided to wander around the castle and check if there was anything there. And then I came across Keira Metz, who talks about her plans for the future (she appears there after the battle for the castle). Looking at the castle, I saw that its roof was built into the rock and realized that if climb up onto the rock, I could slide onto the roof and jump from it to the balcony. It took me about 30 minutes to climb the rock above the castle. Having rolled from there I was able to get into this room. I can't believe that almost 8 years have passed since this moment. The video method is many times faster, of course, but it’s impossible to figure it out on your own.
i mustve cleared the armory, i'm sure ive been back there several times post-game.. that said, Dude! i live for that open-world, jump-climbing, par~course exploration type stuff, trying to go where you probably shouldnt bother.. i died dozens of times trying to re-access the place of power in Kaer Trolde keep (Cerys quest), diving off the snow-capped Mts. behind, and onto Kaer trolde bridge, it took a long time to finally reach that 'warriors path' above the Keep, but man, What A View! Cool video Slinger, and nice moniker too. :)
what make this more realistic is the added spiderweb. no point in getting here after u finish the game but the devs still put up little details. amazing!
Actually you can, (sorry for my english) when you planning for the wild hunt attack, you presented with the option for fixing the wall or fixing the weapon inventory, you have to choose fixing the weapon inventory, and at the end you can access that room
Imagine if they hid the easter egg here, if you manage to reach it and go upstairs, Yen is waiting for you and it triggers a cutscene as soon as you step into the room. Geralt and Yen make love whole night, then in the morning Geralt is in a bathtub, and it literally triggers the New Game, and Story Restarts from the beginning.
I think what made this game so good was the guidebook. Felt like I was the witcher learning about the monsters in the book. They need to make guide books again
I mean they already designed it because you see it before, they just dont cut off your acces to it as in making it a blank space. It keeps existing, even if they cut off the acces to it.

I found a sort of a secret chamber in a similar fashion in Kaer Trolde. There's an small building above the castle on the map, so I wanted to get there and after like an hour I reached it and then fell underground into some small room with nothing in it :D

On the older versions the tower was never blocked off after the final mission. I recently started a new playthrough on the Xbox Series X and finished it. The last time I did a playthrough was around 2020 on the Xbox one and after the end of the game the tower was still open. I remember going up there all the time because I like the view. This is the first time I heard that it was blocked. So that means the tower was never blocked off in the old version and they updated it to block it off. Why? Of all the things you could add in an update you do this.
