I'm planning to do some work on rocking chairs this weekend.
Did you put any kind of coating on afterwards to weatherproof?
How many cans did you use?
You will need at least one can per chair depending on the size of your chair.
Why don’t you use that valspar furniture and cabinet paint
Spray paint works really well with rocking chairs and it's so much faster. I wanted to use a paint sprayer and have had good results with the products I used. You could definitely try Valspar if that is your favorite. Good luck!
Are you using gloss or semi gloss?
I actually used a satin finish for the rocking chairs.
You sure waste a lot of paint going side to side. Go up and down with the slats.
This has worked really well for me and is a great way to avoid build-up and paint drips. But, if up and down works best for you, definitely stick with that.
