    This is a seriously underrated channel and should have 10X subscribers. The relatability, reviews, overall content, and delivery is among the best of online golf channels.

    I’m always impressed at how much attention and effort you give to being fair and even-handed in your reviews. You clearly were quite taken by this club but you clearly also made sure to temper your enthusiasm and to leave it to us to determine the possible value of such a club sitting in our bag. 👍👍👍

      Thank you, it is a fine line to tread and sometimes enthusiasm can be misinterpreted by some, clearly you have a balanced view

    Andy, I’ve been carrying the Rogue ST Heavenwood this year and have not looked back. It gives me distance , control and flexibility. This is my go to club when I need to drop a shot on the green from distance it works great. I agree with prices being crazy, I do not buy new but I look for used clubs whenever I can.

    Smoked it Andy!!!!! My fav lone from Callaway. Just legendary. I still have the grey OG's and the divine nine. I just ordered The Great Big Bertha premium wood line. Hope they perform!!! I like lighter clubs

    I added the Big Bertha Driver, 5 wood and 6-AW to my bag this week. It’s already made a huge impact on my game

    I picked up one of these, brand new with the plastic on the head from Callaway Preowned. I cost me a whopping $15.00 after tradein. It is everything you have said it is.

    I agree that pricing has been inflated for new clubs the past couple of years. However, if you can wait a bit, you can get significant savings and more realistic pricing. It’s been a great strategy for me this past few years. Loved the review!

      Gaylen I am doing the same thing, recently purchased "used" Callaway Epic Max 3+ & 5 fairway woods which were just about mint for a fraction of new cost. Andy's reviews of current and these woods back in the day helped me decide to give them a try, so far I really like the look and feel of them. Thanks Andy!😊

    Hi Andy, great that you tested the versatility with the adjustments. Would be good if you could drag along a launch monitor to show height, landing angle and carry (or at least show where the balls ended up). Thanks for raising the issue of cost, it has become crazy. Please continue to test the direct to consumer and lower cost brands and help us understand if there really are significant differences for an average golfer. P.s. I like adjustable lofts for gapping but don’t know any golfers in my area who adjust from game to game based on course and conditions..........

    I watched your reviews on the B/B B21 driver and fairways and was impressed. I bought the 3&5 woods. Hit the 3 wood with incredible launch and distance on the fairway which is unusual. Now, the 5 wood I never hit yet. Still in the plastic! Now is see THIS 🧐. I’m thinking ….is there a performance difference between the Callaway B/B B21 5 wood and this new club, aside from adjustable hosel? Should I be returning this B21? Save up for this new version. I have a Rogue ST Max 20* Heavenwood already, love it. So all this new stuff is frustrating when I just bought the lastly highly recommended clubs LOL! Your take?

  • @jtlong8383

    I went with the BB23 7 wood instead of the 5 as my gap club between my 4 iron and 3 wood (which is really a 4 wood). Have yet to play with it in a round, but hit it very well at the Trackman.

      Why not get the 5 wood and have adjustability to a 7 wood?

  • @georgewilson197

    Just boughr a set of these clubs and they are great to look at is the first thing. Secondly behind the ball they look like beasts. Five woods is a beauty and itons are stunning.

    Nice video Andy but I have 2 comments. It is versatile, but you have to decide before your round what you want it to be, taking course and conditions into consideration. And as you mentioned, price. At this price you could buy 2 or 3 clubs for versatility and have them all in your bag and not have to decide preround what you have into what you have to adjust club.

    I carry a Ping G425 7w and a Stealth 2 + 5w. The 7w is what I hit almost always from the fairway. Its my 200-225 club. The Stealth only comes out from the tee or when I have 245 in with no bunkers in the way.

  • @MarvinofMars
    @MarvinofMars ปีที่แล้ว

    Becareful though Andy as you lower the loft you need keep closing the face. - 1deg really needs a draw setting. I bought an adjustable big bretha 7W recently paid £45 for it. I pull the ladies flex and fitted a stiff flex, it is a great club. 20-23 degree spot on for Augusta style tight parkland hilly golf my club is.👍

  • @peterjohnson1401

    I'm deciding between this club and the paradigm 7 wood. I don't have a 3 wood and my next nearest club is a 5 iron I hit about 190 yards. I'm about 16 hcp. What do you think?

      Callaway has a promotion.... not sure if it's still going on where they have you 1 1/2 times the PGA Value for any trade in. I was able to trade my old wilson d9's plus several old sets I had lying around and got driver 5 wood 4,5 hybrid 6-9, PW,SW for $600..... these are great clubs..... but three only way I could do it was with that promo

  • @Hacker-xe8yv

    True versatility will only exist when you can change settings on a club during a round. Otherwise, it's just another club.

  • @davidcooper3317

    Any club is forgiving if you can consistantly strike it in a straight line

    • @TheAverageGolfer
      @TheAverageGolfer  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a contradiction of forgiveness David

    • @davidcooper3317
      @davidcooper3317 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheAverageGolfer my point being that if you have the ability to strike the ball properly on a consistant basis ANY OF the manufacturers clubs ARE forgiving because of the amount of technology that is put into them.What i disagree with is promoting a club just to sell it on behalf of the manufacturer

    • @TheAverageGolfer
      @TheAverageGolfer  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidcooper3317 but if you have that ability you don’t need forgiveness? Like I said a contradiction. As for you final point…..please explain

    • @davidcooper3317
      @davidcooper3317 ปีที่แล้ว

      A club review Is a club review not a plug for a manufacturer. I just think (and you are not the only one ) that the review comes across occasionally as a must buy and put it in the bag.

    • @TheAverageGolfer
      @TheAverageGolfer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@davidcooper3317 that’s disappointing, creating engaging content is perhaps less interesting in the manor that may be more appealing to you David. I assume you are not compelled to buy this club based on my ‘review’? And I also expect my audience to have equal level of intelligence to form balanced judgements of there own.

      On the price of new clubs Andy, yes you are right they are really over inflated. I have just been fitted for a full bag of Mizuno Woods irons and wedges, I’ve gone for the ST X in the woods, Driver 10.5° a 5 wood I hit it almost as far as the 3 wood but it’s easier to hit and more forgiving and a 19° hybrid. I’ll be honest I don’t like the hybrid but will persevere for the time being, it may get replaced by a 3 fly high driving iron. For irons I had my heart set in the Mizuno 225 heads but testing made me change my mind to the JPX forged heads I got a better ball flight and dispersion, so I’ve got 4iron to Pitching Wedge orderd. I’ve also ordered the Mizuno S23 wedges with the KBS high Rev shafts. I fly back up to Bonn on the 1st of June from Spain to collect the irons so I’m looking forward to see how I hit the full set and not just the demo 7 iron, which I loved. Fortunately I’m a lucky lad and my good friend Sinjin did me a full and in depth fitting and is supplying me everything at cost otherwise it would have cost me including a new bag almost 4000-00€ at full retail prices.
      Keep up the good work I really enjoy your down to earth reviews, but I do miss the course reviews that you used to do they were really well put together and enjoyable.
      If ever you are around the Alicante area give me a shout and we’ll have a knock or just have a meet up for a café or a beer.
      67 tomorrow but still knocked it around my home track at -2 today, age is just a number hopefully as I get older it will be easier to shoot my age!!! 😂🤣

      Anything new is lofty for costs. Agree on buying to just buy. Look to find used ones in good condition. My current bag has Epic flash 5 wood. Can also carry a TS2 3 wood. Both I picked up for less than half newest model years ago. Hybrids are older too when I got them. They work.

      Yes, most manufacturers have fairway woods with adjustable hosels. Big Bertha is just an offset fairway wood with anti slice characteristics.
