I agree both these clubs are incredible performers. I just bought a Callaway Rogue ST Max Heavenwood last month, used it for the first time today… No range time whatsoever. On a hole that Is a left dogleg 493 yard par 5 that I ALWAYS usually make bogey on I had 209 left to the pin. I decided that even though I had sand on the left and bush to the right and a narrow approach into the green I was going to give this club a test. Well, just like what you guys said that ball was in the air for about a half hour but it went rocket straight came down about 4 yards left of centre rolled right past the pin and ended up 12 feet from pin LOL. I have not been on the green in 2 shots in quite a few years on this hole, I missed the eagle putt but I got the birdie putt and this Heavenwood made the job the easiest thing I could ever imagine. I would have failed miserably using a 3 or 5 wood. It’s just too tight. Next hole from 200 yards out on second shot I hit this thing again and landed on the back of the green, and on another par five I ended up with two putts and another Birdie. So back to back birdies on 2 par fives. I am happy and I agree with all your logic. These work!
I have two Big Bertha Warbird Heavenwoods (circa 1998?). The one with the RCH96 firm shaft is back in the bag. The head is much smaller than my Ping 5W, but it hits the ball high.
I use mine as a “6-wood”. I carry a 16.5° 3-wood and use this as next wood. I have shaggy cut to 5-wood length, and it replaces my 5-wood and 7-wood, so I can add extra wedge!
I hit G430 Ping driver and G425 3wood both with Sr Flex, but I also have an SFT G410 7 wood with a 3wood Sr flex and it hits greens at about 200 yards and sticks like a dart...Proves your point about the importance of "loft" even when you hit a longer shaft it is easy to launch and sft's fly very straight and the descent is decent, sticks like an arrow from space, try it and you won't dissent.PS, I shoot my age, 76
I picked up my new Big Bertha Driver, 5 wood and irons yesterday. Played 9 holes with them. Never missed a fairway, and now I’m just trying to dial in the best possible setting for the 5 wood. When they did my fitting last month they had me hitting the 5 wood further than my Paradym 3 wood. It is really a great club
Great video Andy. I bought a Ping G430 7W, its great. Lou is great to have on these videos, he is very easy going and up front and honest. Your opinion is great for us average golfers but Lou's opinion is most welcome.
For that distance, I have a Cleveland Halo Launcher XL, which I purchased after watching your review, Andy. It is so easy to hit and cuts through the wind nicely. I can hit fairway woods, but carry 3 hybrid's (28,25,18) now because I hit them consistently straighter than any fairway wood I have ever tried.
interesting club...great video Andy... i have finally got my woods sorted out...ended up going with the STEALTH 2 HD in the 3 wood and 5 wood....gonna get the 7 wood maybe also have the HD 4 hybrid....and LOVE how easy they are to hit for me....straight and nice distance and high........just waiting for my new driver to be delivered...Andy I ordered the STEALTH 2 HD in 9 degree...44.5 inches....UST PROFORCE V2 5HL regular flex shaft and midsize grip....supposed to be here tomorrow ....can't wait....cheers from Canada
Nice informative review as always. Being more of a traditionalist when it comes to the clubs in my bag, I would opt for the 5 wood and the adjustability it affords to essentially obtain similar characteristics as the heaven wood, plus the bigger head on the HW I think would put me off a bit at address. Getting fit for my long game tomorrow with PXGs for a driver and 5 wood and love the look and adjustability of the new Gen 6 lineup… Best to you from Sausalito, Ca. USA
Good review AG. I still play my small headed BB 7 metal w. I live in a very windy area so the high launch wouldn't work for me. But for others it may be the perfect club.
I usually use a 3 wood out of the rough in high wind or under trees.I feel this heaven wood would limit me from hitting the ball low and would throw my game off.If i want more loft i will hit irons.
Take your 3w shaft and drop it in your 5w. Has become my go to second shot club on par 5s. The 5w shaft goes in the 3w and that becomes a fairway finder.
You are almost correct. It uses a 5 wood shaft and a 7 wood head...If it is anything like the previous Heavenwoods it will be the easiest club to control in your bag. My rogue actually has the shaft of a 4 wood. Try one, you likely won't regret it.@@JohnnyLREACTS
I would go with the paradym 5 wood if it was adjustable like the BB. Too much offset in the BB range for me. That being said I would like to try as heavewood as the 7 wood is the best club in my bag. It's great having Lou in your videos provides great insights and he can absolutely smash any club you give him.
Reason you don't buy the 7 wood is the shaft is 2" shorter and the head is much much smaller than the HW. This thing is a weapon for long par 3s and long fairway bunker shots.
I agree. Why would anyone game the 5 or 7 wood over this heavenwood I don't understand. Feels like the right combination of all 3 woods. I was contemplating adding a 5 or 7 wood for off the deck but the heavenwood looking hard to beat.
I think if you need a club to fix a swing defect that coaching and other clubs have not resolved, then this club is like a prescription - use it only if you need it
Regretfully the Havenwood shown in this video is not available for left handers. Callaway is a large discriminator for left-handers clubs in certain models. Why - not understood.
Unfortunately, those of us who are left handed can't buy it because it's only made for right handers. C'mon, Callaway, you can do better for us southpaws!
I have the HeavenWood and I love it! It is now my 200 yard club (senior golfer) and the trajectory into greens is amazing.

Good review, I am using the Callaway old Roque heavenwood since 5 years now....and I love it!!!!!

Me to
I saw your heavenwood video and ended up getting the 7 wood. It just fits what's in my bag. Ping driver, paradym x 3, ping 5, and callaway bertha 7.
I have a 9-wood big bertha, love it, probably my favourite club
My wife and I both hit Heavenwood woods. Love them I've had one in my bag since they were first brought out, now on my third generation.

All of the heavenwoods are good. To me the original Rogue heavenwood from 2017 is still a great one.
Looking forward to the comparison with the 5 wood Andy. 👍😀

I bought a 7 wood - often my go to club, love it
How would this compare to a Inesis 3 wood which has a more 4 wood like loft?
Which is the most forgiving of the Heavenwoods off the deck? There are a few different versions from Callaway..
My 3 wood paradym triple diamond is great off the tee and off the deck.
I use an 18 degree 5 wood with a 41” shaft. Very versatile. Can hit it high or low and is great off the tee.
Good review AG. I still play my small headed BB 7 metal w. I live in a very windy area so the high launch

I have the Callaway Rogue Heavenwood. It is my favorite club in the bag! It gives me a steady straight 200 yards.
Nice. I want this club as my distance fairwaywood! So it's a 7 iron shaft, 3 wood head size with 7 iron loft??? Do I have this correct?
You are almost correct. It uses a 5 wood shaft and a 7 wood head...If it is anything like the previous Heavenwoods it will be the easiest club to control in your bag. My rogue actually has the shaft of a 4 wood. Try one, you likely won't regret it.@@JohnnyLREACTS
The BB Heavenwood length is closer to the 3W versus the 5W. (HW=42.75, 3W=43, 5W=42.25). Cheers.
I think you needed to do some fairway hits direct off the grass also as a test. 5 woods are usually great fairway clubs
I’ve found a great option. I have the 17 and 21 degree Callaway Utility Woods.
I would go with the paradym 5 wood if it was adjustable like the BB. Too much offset in the BB range for me. That being said I would like to try as heavewood as the 7 wood is the best club in my bag. It's great having Lou in your videos provides great insights and he can absolutely smash any club you give him.
I also just think a 7 wood is the better way to go. Personal decision though I guess. I liked the Paradym 7-wood better than their Heavenwood also.
7 wood is a great choice the appeal here is this club 'should' go further with similar ball flight and forgiveness (larger head/longer shaft).
Great vid very interesting lads worth a test eh against the 5 and 7 wood 👍👍👍
It’s interesting. I’d have to see if it is more consistent than my 3 wood and longer than my 2H. Right now I’m not going to drop money.
Big Bertha 7W is Favorite club in my bag =)
What age are you Andy.
I agree lads the 5 wood with the adjustable sleeve surely is the go to 🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣 who knows 😮
Reason you don't buy the 7 wood is the shaft is 2" shorter and the head is much much smaller than the HW. This thing is a weapon for long par 3s and long fairway bunker shots.

Can somomeone pls explain WTF is a "heaven wood"?? Like can we please use numbers and degrees of loft thanks.
Lee Trevino uses a 6wd back in the day. So this might be why they are being made. Very easy to hit.
my steelhead plus 7 wood is 20 degrees....steelhead iii 5 wood is 19 and steelhead iii 7 wood is 21.....I switch these around at times
Eli ( callaway founder ) named a few clubs like the duece, heaven wood and Devine nine and Eli wood 11 wood
Callaway BB V-series Heaven wood is 22 degrees loft with a 3 wood length shaft, absolutely easy to hit high rockets with this club !!
why only the odd numbers
I think if you need a club to fix a swing defect that coaching and other clubs have not resolved, then this club is like a prescription - use it only if you need it
Some take a 5 wood head and put it on a 3 wood shaft. Would I buy it? Not at today's prices.
Regretfully the Havenwood shown in this video is not available for left handers. Callaway is a large discriminator for left-handers clubs in certain models. Why - not understood.
Good review. Not convinced that 99% of viewers will buy this. More likely to choose the adjustable 5 wood I think.
Exactly. The first wood in this line I would buy is the 3 or 5 wood because they are adjustable.
Now we only need to solve the problem of only having 14 clubs in the bag.
All the BB wood and hybrid range are hopelessly draw weighted/biased.
My heavenwood goes further than my 5 wood.
Unfortunately, those of us who are left handed can't buy it because it's only made for right handers. C'mon, Callaway, you can do better for us southpaws!
