Jody is the reason why at 36 years young I enlisted for 6 years as an A1C, crushed my ASVAB (92), pulled Weather and ship out on 5/24. Had I done this 10 years ago I could’ve gone EOD and be halfway towards retirement so don’t waste your time with doubt. Pain hurts less than regret.

I have a 4 year degree, no criminal record, just medical stuff because I was stupid enough to reach out for so called help after being abused growing up. It's so messed up that being abused will ruin your chances of being able to join and getting way from the people and environment who abused you. That has me in so much pain right now. My life is ruined. There is nothing out here in the civilian world. And I even have a federal resume and still can't get employed right now. Needless to say I hate my life and I wish I was you Jody or anyone else who has been fortunate enough and blessed enough to join.

Weirdly, I've been looking at enlisting into the Army when I finish my cybersecurity bachelor's. I'm super interested in continuing to educate myself further, and the $4k a year for ArmyCOOL seems perfect - plus, between the faster promotion rate & having Warrant Officers, I might be able to make WO-1 by the end of one contract, which would mean I'd be operating at a high level of pay comparable to an officer, while still maintaining technical expertise, as opposed to officers who work on management and project development skills.

I am still considering the Navy and Army, though. So the GI bill is one attraction, but the actual job training, another benefit.

I won’t even waste my time if I can’t. I took the charge for the dude driving and I don’t do any drugs nor drink please get back to me man I’ll highly appreciate your advice thanks.

It honestly depends on the recruiters leadership policies. Some leaderships don’t allow any heavy charges, and some do. So if they do, then you gotta find a recruiter who’s willing to work with you. Good luck.
