Thank you dr. Anthony Chaffee. You save my life as epileptic seisures, with carnivore diet/ omad, and my son of 30 years old with AUTISM non vebal. For the past 2 years we have been doing carnivore/ omad and my son dies ketovore/ 18:6 fasting. We find out that poor nutrituon like poison toxic processed foods was demaging our brain and body. Since 2022 when i almost died from tixic meds, i start taking charge of my own health, and mt son health. My autistic son after 28 years he f8nalt call me MOM and that's huge for me. And i have not been having seisures attacks since i switch my nutrition. Thank you and God bless you sir🙏🤲💪🧠

Amanda; respectfully, do you know if you're in ketosis?
I ask because carnivore doesn't necessarily equal ketosis. If my fat ratio isn't quite high, gluconeogenesis via protein stops my ketosis completely.
A blood ketone metre (for accuracy) can tell you if you're actually in ketosis. The amount of fat you may require may be shocking.

Yes, I've definitely had more severe reactions when reintroducing toxic foods. Pineapple gives me instant hives now. Rice makes me feel uncomfortably full, tired, and bloated. It takes a few days of eating carnivore before I feel better again.

I certainly feel at my best, both mentally and physically, when I eat a strict carnivore diet. I actually spent 19 years eating whole-food plant-based. When I was plant-based I had prolonged and reoccurring periods where I would become very depressed. At various times I would consider suicide, and one time I even attempted it, although I think a part of me knew I didn't want to die cause it was a half-hearted attempt. It makes sense that plants could have been the cause of this. Plants have so many bad things that meat doesn't have like plant-defense chemicals and carbs. I feel like a totally different person now that I'm carnivore. I've been carnivore now for 9 years and I no longer have any depressive thoughts at all. I feel awesome and I love being alive each and every day. It's amazing how much better life is when eating carnivore as opposed to plant-based.

This is so interesting. I’ve been carnivore for nine months and experienced amazing mood stabilisation. Just recently I was given a ‘healthy’ meat bar which I devoured. The next morning I woke with gut issues and a low mood. I checked the ingredients and saw it contained amaranth flour 🙈 since then my gut has recovered but my mood is still low. I thought I was crazy or imagining it. I’ve since gone much stricter with my diet in an attempt to overcome the low mood.

I did carnivore for two weeks with my husband and the anxiety I’d been struggling with for 13 yrs just disappeared. I felt like I did when I was a kid…it was awesome! Sadly, I struggled with the carb loss and started having unbearable muscles twinges. But since then, I’ve kept the protein high and the carbs as minimal as I can afford and I still feel better. I think “buttering” your brain with all the fat is the way to go. I just have to figure out how to do it and not have muscle craziness.

Bonjour Dr Chaffee. You constantly in all your videos say that at first when you started carnivore you didn't eat enough. What were your symptoms telling you you didn't eat enough ? what changes occured in you when you increased the amount of meat you take vs when you didn't take enough a previous day ? basic body functions like being cold, like low erections, like bad sleep quality ? what were your symptoms that told you you had to eat more ? like what changes appear when you take enough vs when you don't take enough. I constantly think about this phrase (not eating enough at first) you said in many many videos and can' figure out the meaning of it. best regards from clermont-ferrand, France.
