The biggest issue I have with eating this way is the derogatory social tones that everyone else vibes when I tell them I prefer to just eat meat. Everyone turns into a nutrition expert and insists on telling me I’m killing myself. At least my wife is actually a MD who supports my choices and reassures me that red meat is extremely healthy and I’m not gonna drop dead anytime soon! She was raised on a carnivore diet growing up in Kenya and has the IQ and health to prove meat is the answer!

Awesome! Sounds like an impressive woman! And anytime people say something, just chuckle and say yeah it seems weird, but that's what my wife the doctor recommends and I feel amazing. I find that the less I care about it, the less people even notice it. Just do your thing and people will just get used to it and stop bringing it up

I can totally agree when I get in " discussions " with others. Most times I just tell them I'm low carb because I'm diabetic. My family surpringly tells me when carbs are present because they see how much healthier I am eating this way. When I go to family dinners, I now scrambled eggs before I go so I'm not so hungry. Wish I had a supportive spouse.

My Dr. got very angry with me when I questioned him after diagnosing me with spinal arthritis and saying I would need 2-4 Vicodin pills every day for the rest of my life. I went on the vicodin for years b/c I was in so much pain, then after 3-4 years he told me he could no longer prescribe my vicodin and I would now need a TEAM to support my pain needs. What a nightmare I have been through.
Fast forward to now: Started eating meat, water, salt.....I am stronger and pain free. Thank you so much for getting the word out.

I'm 65 and started seriously at age 64 especially after losing my mom who succumbed to dementia. In one year of ketovore I'm now down 90 and counting. I looked at my wife’s weight watchers plan years ago and they actually encouraged animal crackers over a similar serving of nuts. I knew she wouldn’t lose much on it when it didn’t restrict carbs at all. I recently went keto and she now just eats low carb/high fat with me. She’s down to her lowest weight in 20 years without even trying. Amazing what more fat does to help a woman lose weight (even without ketosis). She had really struggled to lose weight before with lots of exercise and effort. I mention that my diet helped and she’s just like shut up 😂.

I was vegetarian on and off for decades and vegan for the past 7 years. I couldn’t lose weight to save myself and my RA and asthma getting worse and worse. This past July I blew out my knee trying to walk the weight off. My son introduced me to carnivore and Dr. Berry’s videos. Fast forward 3 1/2 months and I’ve lost 20 pounds, off both asthma meds, plus inflammation and pain gone. I absolutely have no sugar or carb cravings, and I’ve stopped drinking wine. Im going carnivore (day 4) because I can’t stand how I feel. I’m 40 pounds overweight. I developed floaters in my eyes. I have high BP. Sleep apnea. Diverticulitis and irritable bowel. I go to the bathroom 3-4 times after eating. 6 yrs ago before I got injured and could work I was on zero meds. I was thin and athletic all my life. Into my 60’s. Then came 2 hospital visits. A gym injury. Disability. Depression. Pills. Heart attack. Omg. I hiked 800 km through northern Spain at 59! Now I’m 69 and a total mess. Either I lay down and just die in pain or I get up and fight. I decided to fight. I’ve lost 10 pounds in the past 6 weeks and 4 days ago decided to go carnivore. My cardiologist is an idiot. So is my primary. U get to a point where u realize no one cares except you. You need to fix you. I believe that in 4-6 months I’ll be cured of everything. I already fixed the IBS in 4 days. Today I haven’t had to run to the bathroom 3-4 times to poop. You said that I could get carnivore diarrhea for a couple weeks. Joe Rogan had that problem. That’s fine because I already had that issue for 4 yrs. So far my intestines feel better than they have in years. Thanks doctors. I could only do carnivore because I’m desperate. Desperate people will try anything.

I have been carnivore for 10 months. I have lost about 60 pounds. I keep having flare ups with diverticulitis. Then comes fasting on clear liquids, bleeding internally, and augmenten mixed with amoxicillin 3X a day. I had an extensive
CT scan that the doctor didn’t even look at with contrast and the stuff you drink to make you glow. Now they say no colonoscopy until November. I waited over to months to get to a rude nurse who could care less and was totally unprepared for my visit. I guess my question is will I heal up on carnivore
And should I mess with this clinic anymore. Her parting shot was well you may have cancer, but you want to stay on your carnivore diet that is your decision,

Exactly, Dr. Berry! As my daughter would say "facts". I stopped going to my family practitioner because when I mentioned that I needed to lose weight (I was around 220 lbs at the time, but got to 253 and said enough was enough...) he told me that I didn't need to lose any weight because I wasn't diabetic, no cholesterol or heart issues, and no IBS. At that moment, I was like "Why am I asking him, when he is about 70 pounds overweight, at least" So I stopped going to him, I still haven't found a Doctor, but am looking for one. Since leaving, I have dropped 100 pounds and feel healthy and feel good about my weight.

In 2020 I had a stroke and had carotid artery surgery. I listened to my doctor and ate my vegetables and only chicken. I gained weight. Went on statins also. I not only gained weight but had intense pain in my right arm and lost some use of my right hand that I had surgery on years ago for ulnar nerve and carpal tunnel. My blood panel never improved. I stopped statins but continued to eat as they said I should. I went through the stress testing and other tests and did very well. My last blood panel was worse and my calcium level went way up. I found Dr Berry and other doctors talking about the carnivore diet. Decided September 16 to try the carnivore diet. Arm pain gone, energy levels are up. I’ve lost 17 pounds down from 157 to o 140. I am feeling so much better! I can't wait to see my next A1C numbers in March 2024. With what I minitor, my BP, and my glucose, they are coming down. Today my glucose was only 95, and I was ecstatic because it stayed at an average of 146. And I wasn't a bad eater, my downfall was coffee with LOTS of cream and sugar. But I quit the sugar cold turkey, and went through withdrawals for about three days, mostly a busting headache, but I am doing fine now, AND drinking coffee (1cup per day) with nothing added!! I've not even been sore since I began this , no matter how hard I run and play tennis and lift. After decades of working out and still having a bit of "padding" I am ripped... thank you for explaining just why Plants are Trying to Kill us! AND... I dropped Statins and all other meds.. a year ago.

@mloukhia there are inflammatory factors in plants that cause you to be much more sore and experience more pain than you would otherwise. While my muscles are healing, they do not pain me. I love going to the grocery store and walk past all those products right to the back and pick out my food. No matter what anyone says it's cheaper to eat this way that the SAD way. And it take less than 10 minutes to cook the meat. And I done. My trash can is not as full due to no boxes and cans. For those that think it's too expensive just take a receipt and add up the vegetables, rice, cereal, condiments and see by not buying them how much you save

I was left throwing the football into the air. 5 minutes of that and a stranger motioned to me, "I'm Open!". I threw it. Next thing I know, I and 5 strangers are engaged in football follies. This lasted well over an hour. Until they ALL got tired. By then, the girls were out of the water. We started up again. I quit because I had developed a blister on my bare foot. Not because I was tired. I was out performing everyone. Those strangers were average age of low 20's and I'll be 57 next month. Less than 10% body fat by DEXA scan. I’ve been keto for 9 months and have lost about half the weight I need to lose! I’m walking fine ( no limp) with no knee pain! Haven’t had gout in 13 months after having 3-5 flares per year! Anyway I had to stop the carbs in steps! It was impossible to cut them all at first,I would not have been able to work! I started off using a spoon of peanut butter Several times a day then I went to keto yogurt and weaned myself off of it! The carb withdrawal is a battle! It’s hard! And it’s definitely worth it! I’m not even close to my goal weight but feel so so much better and have a lot of energy and drive! Dr. Berry changed and probably saved my life and I look forward to shaking his hand one day! Thank you both for sharing this information! I was searching for help in February 2022 after turning 56. I was T2diabetic, high blood pressure, long hauler Covid for over 1 year, anxiety and depression, and chronic inflammation with joint pain. I had recently lost an older brother to complications of T2diabetes, lost 3 other family members to complications of diabetes and both parents to metabolic disease. I was getting sicker and going on more medications each year. I felt like I might die younger than my brother and parents. I came across an interview with Dr. Benjamin Bikman, read his book Why We Get Sick (actually listened on Audible) and came home the same day and cleaned out my fridge and pantry, went to the grocery store and started a meat heavy Keto life style the very next day. I didn't quite know what I was doing so the first few weeks were a bit rough but I was determined. Within 6 weeks I had reversed my T2diabetes - no more meds, had lowered my blood pressure - off 1 of 2 meds, anxiety and my long hauler Covid and inflammation - gone! I couldn't believe how quickly it happened and I felt amazing and so mentally clear, sharp! I hadn't had this kind of energy in decades! I have since gone Carnivore for more healing and because I just feel so good eating this way. I"m down 30 lbs, off 5 prescription medications, sleeping better, feel great every day, eat zero fiber and feel better than ever! I work in a large warehouse environment and have coworkers I don't even know coming up to ask me what I'm doing. I bought several copies of Dr. Bikman's book and have been passing them around! I have family and friends who follow me online messaging me and I'm sending them an email with basic info and pdf's so they can start their own healthcare revolution in their lives, starting with an experiment of one as I did. I share Dr. Berry's videos with everyone and am a Patreon member supporting the work he does. I listen toDr. Chaffee's podcast and follow him online. Not quite telling everyone about Carnivore yet as this is very new for me (started June 1st) but Keto is a perfect place to start! I know I feel like I'm aging in reverse - I look and feel younger! I have more weight to lose but my focus is on my health. I heard a great quote recently, "Weight loss is a side effect of wellness." My own mantra is now, "T2diabetes isn't in your genes, it's in your pantry."

My kids loved it too and asked for it to be packed in their lunchboxes. I’m so happy I found your recipe because this will make travel and work and school so much easier! 😊

I am a 78-year-old male; when I was 54, I cured my ulcerative colitis by going on an Atkins carnivorish diet. It doesn't happen instantly, but give it 90 to 180 days, and it will be gone or significantly improved. My case was so severe that it took about 6 to 8 months before it was gone. My doctor was angry with me and dropped me as a patient because I refused to take his medication 22 years ago, and I have not had a problem. The only thing I have changed is increased good, healthy fats and Protein. About 70% fat and 30% protein. Also, my gout, which I have suffered from since I was in my mid-30s, is not better; it's gone. That didn't happen until I changed the ratio of fat to Protein. Much of what I thought was gout was plantar fasciitis, and once the veteran's hospital got me the proper inserts for my shoes, 90% of what I thought was gout disappeared; the other 10%, I believe, was caused by things like high fructose corn syrup. It doesn't take much! Dr. Chafee and Dr. Berry, one of your best talks, explains what I have done wrong over the years.

I'm sitting here, catching up on videos. I'm in ketosis almost a week. Been full (99%) carnivore for a little over a week. Thanks to both of you. I'm down 15 lbs. I figure that about 10 of that is water, but I'm taking the win. First time I've been south of 300 lbs in over two years. Had a vertical sleeve about 12 years ago and it worked for a while but the weight came back. I'm optimistic about carnivore, much more so than Keto. I always had carb cravings on Keto but I haven't had a single one on carnivore. Onward to get rid of Insulin Resistance (47.7 fasting) and a fatty liver. Thanks guys. I'm 64, BTW.

Don't discount water loss. It's very important. Especially when you learn that with one molecule of sugar there is 3 water molecules attached to it. After the body has dealt with the sugar it does nothing with those water molecules. They just hang around and accumulate.
BUT now you have removed that water.....finally😁👍

The pain that I had in my neck and knee for years are almost gone. I was very nervous about doing this at first because of the stigma attached to meat and heart disease. But so far I feel great and already shed a few pounds in one week. I worked out yesterday for the first time in years thinking that I would wake up tired and sore but nothing.

Can't get enough of either one of these gentlemen. Kudos to you both!!! So nice to see that someone in your field has the balls to step up in the face of the "assembly line" called medicine. I have been an avid fitness freak for 35 years and was never ever successful at closing in on a diet that I was successful at. Then I watched Dr. Berry on TH-cam and that led to watching Dr. Chaffee also on TH-cam, and then I said F$%^ it!!! I'm going to give this a shot. At 52 years of age at 6'3" and 294 lbs, I embarked on the Carnivore Journey. As of today, It's been almost 3 and a half months. I'm now at 268 lbs and I've literally lost no muscle mass!! I feel like I could run through a wall, I don't get sore and I train hard I have an energy surplus that makes me feel like I'm in my thirties again and my joints feel amazing. Thanks for sharing guys. Keep the message moving forward and keep helping people in your own way. Much love

I love both Dr Chaffey and Dr Berry they have really educated me and gave me the courage to go into my doctors with guns blazing pun intended here. My A1C in February was 7.9 I followed Dr Berry's advice combined with Dr Chaffee decided to do ketogenic diet bordering on carnivore I just got my latest A1C results on July 18th. My A1c is 5.2! Endocrinologist was amazed she suggested that I go off the Lantus and novolog is that's when I told her I've been off it for months. She looked at my lipid panel she was amazed that everything was perfect my urinalysis panel I had an intensive urinalysis panel everything perfect and get this I lost 44 lb since February. I had a stroke in 2015 which left my right side effected of course it's better I have been working hard and I'm able to walk and drive and do all that good stuff but the most important thing for me is that I go to the aqua therapy pool at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center and swim 2 hours a day in the sunshine. In February when I had that last blood test I was depleted in vitamin D3 started swimming and spending more time in The Sunny Side of the pool without sunblock and now I have great vitamin D3 levels. Thank you to both doctors. Oh one last thing I had an insatiable sweet tooth in fact when I started to go ketogenic I bought all these alternative sweeteners like erythritol and a l l u l o s e almond flour coconut flour all these things to make sweet treats. It's cleaning out my freezer and I noticed I had a whole pan of ketogenic brownies in there I forgot all about them because I have no sweet Cravings anymore. I haven't touched the a l l u l o s e or the erythritol they were hidden in the back of my pantry I forgot about them as well. That wasn't the conscious decision it just was my body deciding for me what I needed and it wasn't anything sweet tasting

So back to carnivore and body settles down and brain clears and weight slowly goes down. Blood suagrs reduce too. I agree with the sentiments entirely. I did carnivore for 9 months during the pandemic in 2020 and had tremendous results, fixing mental health, sleep and skin issues in addition to getting to a healthy body weight. I was following the guidelines of prominent advocates of the carnivore lifestyle online. Then Dr Saladino began to promote honey and the occasional portion of fruit. I like sweet things, and the justification seemed sound so I began incorporating a small amount of honey, which turned into a large amount of honey, then honey and fruit, then honey fruit and vegetables, then at some point I found myself eating pizza and all the other junk and getting overweight and sick again. Then for the next 3 years I tried to go back to just meat several times and was not able to last more than a couple of days. I eventually found myself more overweight and more unwell than ever before. I started carnivore month again this year, with a much more disciplined approach, much more strict and I feel like I’m beginning to overcome my food addictions again. Dr Saladino’s approach was all the justification I needed to slip off the wagon last time, and this time I am not going down that road.

Isn't that the funny thing...Dr. Chaffee said it right there if we get away from what we shouldn't be doing, to do what we should be doing our "heath care" system would have less of a burden. I recently became a Patrion for Dr. Berry for this reason. We need to support these doctors who are actively looking out for us and stop buying drugs from Big Pharma who only care about their bottom line. My daughter was recently diagnosed with PCOS and Dr. Berry and Dr. Chaffee have done more to help her with their teachings than the Metformin she was prescribed. It really is time for us to start realizing we are being lied to and our loved ones suffer due to unwillingness to believe that maybe we got it wrong and it is time to rethink our position on nutrition.

Carnivore diet was hard for me to start and stick to. It's been 2 months now and my body and appetite is finally used to it and Im now just eating the basic meat (beef), water, eggs and butter is natural. Also, eating really basic is helping with my inflammation problems, my autoimmune issues and skin issues etc. I reiterate that it has been really hard overcoming carbs and cravings but having little successes here and there and not giving in lead to bigger successes and also through perseverance I can finally say I am now a full blown carnivore eater and so happy. My skin is getting better and I don't have the flare ups in my skin like I used to. I sleep really well. I think more clearly and I have more energy. Thank you for all those that go against the grain and teach and preach the carnivore diet because it is working so well for me, I just wish I had heard about it sooner in my life.

I started with Dr Berg Healthy Keto; it was life changing and made huge health improvements and successful weight loss. Lots of supplements, 8-10 cups daily veggies with unlimited greens. Then came oxalate stones; one stone removed and five smaller ones to hopefully pass. So here I am having decided to transition to Carnivore; still trying to wrap my head around all this. I am way more impressed about what seems like “the next level”. Not many doctors like you guys. These 2 are my Dr.s !!!! The proof is in the pudding. I've been Keto 3 years but have struggled on and off for 6 months and gained some weight. I'm on Day 9 doing Carnivore. I'm challenging myself to 90 days Carnivore and will re-evaluate after that if I continue or go back to ketovore. Thank you both!! I've tried to tell people plants are trying to kill you. They think I'm nuts. That's okay!! They WILL see the results in 90 days! 😁👊

I had so much energy at the beginning I could hardly sleep. It evened out snoring quit. Then I got sick 14 days is real. Stayed on it subsided in a day. Then it really began. So much healing! Yes I still have a couple vices that need to go. I will address once I’m not a newbie to this way of life. Loving it evidently I must have become depressed on the other diet. I used to love sing and dancing around the house. It took over me on Saturday I suddenly realized this and the fact I must have been depressed. So happy getting excited on what’s to come. Loving life 🎉

Thank you Loved this! I have been Keto for 3 years now... it was how I treated my insulin resistance, lost weight, gained mind clarity, less anxiety, energy and the sleep - I had terrible problems with sleep before keto but now I sleep wonderfully. I went thru the cholesterol thing with my doctor and she was quite rude when I told her that I would not take a statin, I asked if I could get a coronary calcium scan and was told that it was not covered by Canada health care. I was respectful to her and told her about Dr. Paul Mason's and university of Sydney's research about cholesterol and that the science was outdated, even wrote down the youtube link she was very unimpressed. She told me she thought I was a "walking heart attack" and begged me to consult with a lipidologist which I agreed to do. I had a phone interview with him, he told me I had hypercholesteremia and he wanted me on more than one statin but another new thing as well! I refused and asked if there was any test he could offer which would look at the state of my arteries and he ordered a carotid artery ultrasound which came out clear. Today, I am noticing that - veges are causing me some digestive disturbance and I am heart broken because so is dairy which I love.... something is going on with the dairy it is not same as it was a year ago. They are adding cellulose gel and carregeenan - sorry for long dialogue:) but after 3 years keto it's like my body wants cleaner - I am thinking to go carnivore. I am very blessed because I have wild moose, caribou, black bear, local fish, grouse and eggs from the Yukon, my husband is an avid hunter. My only concern is the vitamin C - we have local low bush cranberries and the indigenous peoples here made pine needle tea is this necessary if carnivore?

The only time in my life I ever had energy (!) was in the ‘90’s when our regular doctor (OD) prescribed a low-carb, no grain, no sugar, no starches diet. He obviously did not know about plant toxins, but he advised against high-sugar veg like carrots, green beans and sweet peas. He had me eating lamb chops for breakfast, meat at every meal! And I had energy, for the first time in my life! I lost 10-15 lb with no effort. Over time, I found it too boring to be sustained. Now I’m preparing to sing an all-Bach concert and I have to get more energy! So I’m trying an almost-all carnivore diet. I’m on day 3, and last night I realized that compromise can be shooting myself in the foot: just a little mashed potato with my ribeye gave me gas and bloating; whereas my lunch today (Wendy’s baconator with no bun, no cheese, no sauce, no tomato/lettuce), with mustard, did NOT result in gas.
    Amazing!

Dr. Robert Lustig of the University of California San Fransisco believes that fiber is essential to keep a healthy microbiome. Dr. Lustig argues that not having fiber (fiber-rich prebiotics) contributes to permeable intestinal syndrome (leaky gut syndrome) and is a major cause of inflammation. However, he agrees that a carnivore diet without any plant food can be very healthy for some people. Tht is what the Innuit eat and he had a distant relative who lived with the Innuit and found that their diet improved his health. As a test, he recruited a number of men to live in a hospital for a year on this diet and the subjects improved their health on the all meat diet. I believe that seafood was a major component of the diet, but I may be wrong about that.
