First put honey and peanut butter in bowl in warm water bath to help thin. Stir.
Add ground pecans, ground dark chocolate, oats, mix all ingredients together. Put baking paper into baking tray, add mixture, spread.
Place in fridge for 1 hour. Slice into sections.
Makes about 16 good sized bars.
Buying these already made would be at least 4 dollars each.
    This was probably..
    5 honey
    3 oats
    4 dark chocolate
    4 pecans
    4 peanut butter
22 dollars to make versus 32 to buy.
Big difference and fresh. ( if you buy generic could cut price by another few dollars or more.
Just an estimate. Good video. Saved. Thank you.

for everyone here are a few improvements to this recipe.
1: add wholemeal flour, no matter which, about 3-4 tablespoons full
2: After molding, push the whole thing into the oven at 150 degrees Celsius and with convection for about 25-30 minutes or until the surface turns brown. Depending on the oven, this can sometimes take a while. cuts everything after hollowing it out when it's still warm.
If the mixture is right, you will have drier and more stable energy bars after cooling down, which will not stick your fingers together and which will last significantly longer

Hello there! :) Thanks for your recipe! But I would like to highlight 2 very important facts- NEVER EVER HEAT HONEY - It not only kills its nutrition but is also toxic when heated or cooked (honey should only be added from above, in the final step of any recipe); NEVER EVER HEAT PLASTIC IN MICROWAVE!
You can use coconut sugar instead.

I highly recommend not ever cooking or microwaving honey... Maybe just freeze it.. Idk. I read an article how harmful cooking honey is, in the long run. Of course I still absolutely love cooking honey in certain sauces I make for Korean style chicken... But i try to keep it very rare... These are energy bars meant for frequent consumption. In fact, I'm inspired to make some minus the cooking honey part. Thanks for the video mate. No hard feelings or criticism of your video k.

I made this and put, maple-mollasses-dark caro-honey in with Almond butter. Brown sugar, coco powder, large raw oats(should be small if you have)ground almonds. A tiny sprinkle of food grade citric acid. I use it in my dishwasher to make the glass clear. Mind it is just a tiny
sprinkle. It will give a result like lemon, but not a lemon taste. It makes your mouth water which is good. I think salt, I use hymalayan pink salt, which I left out. That citric acid gives it a taste like dates or prunes or raisins with that mollasses. You can put dried fruit in as well.
My next thing is soft airy yeast doughnuts. Add nutmeg to that batter people if you attempt them. Wonderful flavor. I got to get busy.

If you roll these in flax meal, it'll add nutritional value plus they won't stick together. That way you can put multiple bars in the same bag. You can also freeze them to make them last longer.

@@roberthopgood1894 Not true, microwaves cause unique chemical changes to the food molecules in such a way that it's not even comparable to oven or stove top heating. Microwaving certain foods can literally make it so that your pancreas doesn't recognize what you are eating and it won't even secrete enzymes to digest that particular food.
