At the same time, he appreciates her singular genius and sees her as a great asset to Nazarick.

I read that Renner did thought of manipulating Nazarick but quickly realized that they are so powerful that their retaliation/retribution would definitely be worse than death.
Ite more like she see that she can take it easy and think she equal place with floor guardian so i think she can since her iq par with albedo and demiurge however when ainz join the villain arc, she scared af thinking ainz know what she is planning
From what I read so far in the novel, she wanted to work with Nazarick but not show her true pontential, the moment Ainz showed up in her plan to fool Climb, she thought that Ainz was way ahead her thinking (which he didn´t) and decided to give her utmost while being an area guardian.
Renner and Ainz are a fitting duo, a human in a monsters body and a monster in a human body. One is actually dumb but pretends to be smart, while the other is smart but (often) pretends to be dumb. They would make for a great comedy show.
Ainz isn't dumb. He was competent both at his job and as a guild leader. (also, remember his fight with Shalltear?) It's just that everyone expects him to be a super genius.
@@marcusc9931 yeh thats a good point, he Is smart and careful. Its just that he Is not the god level genius with the 666 IQ everyone else thinks he has, he Is just a pretty smart guy xD
It wasn't just that he wasn't confident. The NPCs consider their creators as their gods and Ainz is a close second in worship for most. Bukubuku Chagama made Mare with the highest AoE spells of all the NPCs in Nazarick and Ainz had given Mare ample chances to practice destroying cities before they attacked the capital. Mare was gifted with the power by his creator and the experience by Ainz so if he couldn't do it is because there is something profoundly wrong with him. If his gods gave him every tool to complete this task and he still fails he is a failure and almost a traitor whose incompetence is unforgivable.
Did also wonder why someone need an explanation for this. Besides. I think everyone should now know that Mare, even though he seems timid, has no problems with genocide. But hey, some even think he was disgusted with how the helper of Demiurge descriped what they did to the humans, whereas he was only bored by him and wanted to finish the task Ainz gave him.
funny how almost everyone that play video games know that the razor edge, having an ability to kill Einz, is actually useless because all it did is ignoring armor, Einz still have a huge chunk of HP and HP regeneration
Honestly he is literally what he is = an overlord, a boss, he is practically a raid boss that needs an entire team to kill him ( they must be of the same lvl of the game not that world) put anti heal with armor strip and cc and have a damage dealer and done. Edit: if ainz is standing still that is
@@zegolem3607 Hm, i'd say ainz requires multiple tanks to catch the aggro of adds (like his summons) and to soak his crazy spells there would be need for at least few beefy healers and a TON of damage dealers (one or two carry dps that only provide biggest damage output with no other utilities, a bunch of support-dpses that deal a bunch of damage but their strongest trait is providing buffs and such, and few people with some sort of combat res to counter ainz's necromancy). Then, even if slightly underleveled/undergeared, that sort of raid party could easily pwn entire nazarick if they had some way of penetrating ainz's and other guardians armor
@@TheNaruciak11 yeah other than some specific guardians who have defensive traits (utus for example) practically everyone is ready for war 24/7. I'm curious. Hamsuke has this weird relationship with that one Death Knight she always trains/ hangs out with. is that not related with the black orb that can talk?
@@madmoai I think it's mostly speculation at this point, but it's most likely still the first death knight Ainz raised back in season1 carne village, as a means of testing how long the summons actually last he just kept him around and continued summoning more up to his daily limit as a means of creating an army of mid level summons he can discard, around s2 he ended up assigning it to hamsuke as a sparring partner (and to see if summons can gain racial levels over time) since they're tanky but aren't offensive enough to kill it by accident, in s4 we see them in the haystack still together. I don't think there's anything deeper than that though.
Looks like intelligent people tend to overthink when they're around Ainz or when they try to rationalize his actions. Renner and Jircniv both have this characteristic.
Exactly... When it comes to Ainz, intelligent people kinda act like the guardians in that they overestimate what Ainz was doing. Funny enough, they are only able to overestimate Ainz's thinking because of how intelligent they are. More average intelligent people would potentially take Ainz's actions at face value and get it right like how one of Jircniv's guards did when they were talking about Ainz's appearance at the colosseum.
Funny enough is that it's not so far from reality, I mean, intelligent people have the tendency of over-analyzing something, so they take a while to answer (make that test). That's because they consider all possible scenarios before taking action, so in case of Ainz, the main factor is his "social" position that created the illusion that every action of his is calculated. The consequence is intelligent people over-estimating his way of acting which causes them to get their predictions wrong which reinforces the Ainz' image of a Unbeatable Cold Strategist.
If I remember correctly about Nigredo’s backstory, she acts like a deranged mother demanding for her baby, to the point that she is willing to attack fellow Nazarick denizens. She calms down when given a doll that resembles an infant and claiming that that’s her baby. Her actual personality when calmed down is genuinely friendly and amicable, even if she sees those past the age of two years as worthless lumps of meat. Tabula Smaragdina, the creator of Nigredo, Albedo, and Rubedo, always loved the trope where a character’s true personality is contrary to their appearance. Said NPCs’ names are also the names of three phases in alchemy. The first stage is Nigredo, meaning “blackness” in Latin. It is followed by Albedo, which means “whiteness.” The character Albedo usually wearing a white dress is probably a reference to her namesake. The final stage is Rubedo, which is associated with the color red. (At this point I’m going on a tangent and talking less about known facts and more towards speculation) There’s also a Citrinitas stage, associated with the color yellow, which occurs between Albedo and Rubedo, which makes me wonder if there’s someone or something that Tabula created to complete the set. Probably not an NPC, though, as there’s no mention of anyone that I know of named Citrinitas. Maybe his signature weapon? Or an item he had when he was playing Yggdrasil?

Ainz is indeed smart in terms of YGGDRASIL knowledge, but lack in the others compared to Albedo, Demiurge, or even Renne So it's a perfect combination of crazy luck + unique YGGDRASIL knowledge
Ainz is a very smart person who suffers from Imposters Syndrome, made worse by being surrounded by super geniuses like Albedo and Demiurge. Considering what he accomplished in his Human life with only a 5th Grade education and how he still understands business, finance, battle tactics and is very quickly learning political intrigue, (even if he does feel 100% lost) I'd say his biggest issue is his lack of confidence, not a lack of intelligence.

"Adept of Surshana" A class named after a Player made by the belief of the Player faithful's. The New World has such an interesting system for their classes and talents, though I will admit I'm not a fan of how random and how difficult they acquire them. Antilene having a strong talent and being able to acquire a bastard version of the Valkyrie class with a lesser Einherjar ability highlights this. So Ainz equipping Touch Me's armor, is mostly for it's incredibly high defence and not for the purpose of using the World Champion Exclusive Skills.
It's a three way process really. Suzuki Satoru has nothing to do as a powerful level 100 undead who owns the whole guild base. His overlord persona has no desire whatsover except probably to seize power for the sake of security. His subordinates are equally strong and have no remorse against any outsider. So with just a simple desire of Suzuki to keep his guild base intact against any circumstance such as an invader/running out of resources, one event leads to the next and the key-players are his desires, his persona as Ainz, his subordinates' desires and those who will challenge them.
I don't know why people confused Mare's whining in episode 13 so much. The first thing I reasoned is that it was because he can't kill them all like he proposed. And it's not because I'm edgy or think I'm special, bruh, literally when Ainz was in a meeting with all the floor guardians about what to do about why a Re-estize noble attacked a supply shipment, Mare innocently opined to kill to the entire kingdom, which was followed by Aura's approval of the idea and then everyone's approval of that idea, and Ainz was surprised that Mare would so quickly opt for such a cruel idea. At the time I reasoned that appearances are deceiving in Mare's personality, he doesn't mind killing humans.
an idiot is always harder to fight than a genius, you can predict and understand what a genius would do when facing dificulty, but an idiot is completely unpredictable , something similar happens to the people of new world, this is the first inteligent undead they face in half a millenia, noone knows how an undead thinks and him acting even 0.1% humanly is terrifying to them becouse "how can something that isnt human act like one"
The most useful and powerful equipment Ainz could have in the New World has already in his hand but he didn't know. It was Climb +5 Levels Ring made from Wild magic.
if it was for mages sure, but it's not, so useless for ainz, + using the equipment of multiple lvl 100 supreme beings is far more op than being lvl 105
iirc "Overlord" is the term for the highest level of skeleton, Shurshana was an unknown race of undead who possesed the same "Eclipse" class, which is what grants Ainz his trump card "[The Goal of All Life is Death]" which is a buff that causes insta-death magic to bypass insta-death resistance (but not auto-revives like the item Shaltear had) in exchange for making the spell only take effect after 12 seconds. **spoilers for volumes 15/16 Which HAVEN'T been covered by the anime yet, ahead** Shurshana also must have had some levels of Valkyrie, cause her scythe, which can impart the skills of its original user, grants the use of both [The Goal of All Life is Death] and [Einherjar] (the clone Shaltear can summon)
Wait wait wait WAIT. I just realized something that I probably should have a long time ago. If Surshana was actually an YGGRDRASIL player, does that mean that each of the select players were isekai’ at the same time but sent to different points in time in the New World?
Why do people think the Six Great Gods and Eight Greed Kings weren't level 100. They had World Class Items, which were so rare that only 200 of them existed in a game for millions. Also, Shalltear noted that the Black Scripture had Legendary Gear, which is one grade below Divine (highest grade gear in the game) and Legendary Gear was something only level 100 players could have. None of those gears should be obtainable for players who aren't level 100, and if they did obtain them it would be taken from them by higher level players. It's obvious that the Six Great Gods and Eight Greed Kings were all level 100.
I'm still in the first volumes of overlord. I started reading them because the anime really caught my attention, and indeed it has more content. Now, my question is if Ainz will die since he is a villain or if it'll be like "how the Demon King took over the world" setting where we see before the start of the hero's adventure...
Who knows, Ainz death chance is really low considering the only things that can kill him in that world is ancient dragon lord, godkin n world item, n not many of that things exist.
Can you please make the video a little longer at the end? The youtube thumbnails comes and block the info, so it's difficult to read/see the last picture.
Not really. It's pretty obvious that the Six Great Gods were all level 100. Shalltear noted the Black Scripture had Legendary Grade gear which is one tier below divine (highest grade in the game), and Legendary gear was something for level 100 players. The Six Great Gods also had World Class Items, which were so rare only 200 of them existed in a game for millions, so it's obvious that Surshana was a level 100 player.
You are right, it was never stated in a straight forward manner however...SPOILER... Basically through the use of Antilene's (Zesshi) talent it is determined that Surshana could use TGOALID which is skill that can be acquired by maxing out special eclipse class to lvl 5. To acquire Eclipse class one must be at least 95 LVL Overlord. So based on that fact (95+5=100) it's determined that Surshana was level 100.
That tip at 1:00 might be wrong, Mare didn't want to kill people, a good proof is when he met climb on the way back to castle and told him to leave the area before he destroys it.
0:46 Renner can't understand Ainz's actions and way of thinking because he mostly has non. Everything is almost happened by luck or suggested by other NPCs. Even the whole idea of building a country and world domination wasn't his in the first place.
Are you sure about the fact that Surshana was level 100? I can't remember ever seeing written fact that was the case, and it's always felt as if he six players (great gods) that founded the Slane Theocracy weren't level 100's (even if they were high level), because their mythic feats (as well as all the items and equipment they left behind) seem to always fall just short of the level 100 stuff that Nazarick is capable of. Not criticizing, just wondering.
SPOILER... Basically through the use of Antilene's (Zesshi) talent it is determined that Surshana could use TGOALID which is skill that can be acquired by maxing out special eclipse class to lvl 5. To acquire Eclipse class one must be at least 95 LVL. so 95+5=100 Quick Maths

(Sorry for the bad english)
I'm pretty sure Rennner could figure out Ainz isn't actually as intelligent as the floor guardians think he is since she hasn't been to a meeting yet where Demiurge claims to know what Ainz is thinking while Ainz's jaw drops to the floor.
Yes, first it was just the actual meaning of black, niger or negro (in italian, spanish and portuguese). Then it became used as a term in the 1600-1800s, during the slave trade, to refer to black people (already viewed as an inferior race). Then in the 1900s it consolidated itself as the derogatory term used as of today
Innocent anime watchers who didn't read the manga: Aww, Mare please dont cry, we understand your pressure over- Avid manga readers: Smiling, eyes turned
If Surshana was a Lvl 100 Overlord, and she was killed by the Eight(?) Greed Kings, does that mean Ainz is vulnerable too, if a group of players like the Eight Greed Kings appears in the New World?
That is the implication, yes. Also why Ainz is so paranoid, since he realized the other YGGDRASIL players were also taken out. For what it’s worth, YGGDRASIL was apparently similar to (an edgy version of) Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinders. Compared to some of the stuff the munchkins there have cooked up, Ainz would be a lower-mid threat, tops. The story acknowledges that with Rubedo sounding like EXACTLY the sort of things that even dedicated powerbuillding munchkins would say is too much.

The NPCs consider their creators as their gods and Ainz is a close second in worship for most.
Bukubuku Chagama made Mare with the highest AoE spells of all the NPCs in Nazarick and Ainz had given Mare ample chances to practice destroying cities before they attacked the capital.
Mare was gifted with the power by his creator and the experience by Ainz so if he couldn't do it is because there is something profoundly wrong with him.

funny how almost everyone that play video games know that the razor edge, having an ability to kill Einz, is actually useless because all it did is ignoring armor, Einz still have a huge chunk of HP and HP regeneration
Well if you compare this to some weapon with pretty strong damage but its unable to actually deal it to Ainz, it still seems better choice.
More like if he had 1mil HP and Razor Edge being able to deal 1 dmg to him, he technically wouldn't be lying lol
Dont wana be that guy but :

Looks like intelligent people tend to overthink when they're around Ainz or when they try to rationalize his actions. Renner and Jircniv both have this characteristic.
Exactly... When it comes to Ainz, intelligent people kinda act like the guardians in that they overestimate what Ainz was doing. Funny enough, they are only able to overestimate Ainz's thinking because of how intelligent they are. More average intelligent people would potentially take Ainz's actions at face value and get it right like how one of Jircniv's guards did when they were talking about Ainz's appearance at the colosseum.
Facts. Then theres Jircnivs gaurd who accurately assessed Ainze in seconds. "Maybe hes not the plotting type of guy"
(At this point I’m going on a tangent and talking less about known facts and more towards speculation)
There’s also a Citrinitas stage, associated with the color yellow, which occurs between Albedo and Rubedo, which makes me wonder if there’s someone or something that Tabula created to complete the set. Probably not an NPC, though, as there’s no mention of anyone that I know of named Citrinitas. Maybe his signature weapon? Or an item he had when he was playing Yggdrasil?
Albedo's eyes are yellow, could they be the reference to the yellowing stage?
It's probably because Citrinitas didn't rhyme with the other names so Tabula left it out

If Surshana was a Lvl 100 Overlord, and she was killed by the Eight(?) Greed Kings, does that mean Ainz is vulnerable too, if a group of players like the Eight Greed Kings appears in the New World?

@@kadapbanar Yeah, from what I'd read, he was made as a roleplaying character, not a min-maxed monster of a pvp character
Ainz *sighing*
