- I fell in love with Singapore! In this travel vlog we explore Singapore's diverse neighborhoods such as Little India, Kampong Glam (The Arab Quarters), and Chinatown. We also eat local foods at the Tekka Hawker Center in Little India, as well as Panang Rendang at a Peranakan Restaurant. At night we visit Gardens By the Bay to see the Supertree Grove night light show. This included seeing the stunning Marina Bay Sands Hotel illuminating at night which was also magical. Singapore is such an amazing city and country that holds a special place in my and Venessa's heart!

Welcome to 🇸🇬
Thank you so much, we loved Singapore 🇸🇬
geylang serai is the malay quarter in Singapore, close by there is a mosque, indian temple and buddist temple, all side by side haha.
Oh wow thanks for sharing that! Next time I'm in Singapore I would love to visit all of these places in the area :)
You missed a nice Buddhist temple in Little India. It has a huge statue and them a life sized sleeping buddha in the back
Oh dang, that would have been a cool sight to check out. Thanks for the heads up!
Actually the "Arab Quarter" is where the native Malay Muslim Singaporeans hang out. Do try Malay food next time. (Oh yes, beef rendang is one of them. Although Malay and Indonesian version slightly different because of the level of spiciness.)
That makes sense - I would love to try more malay food. I actually did try some in Malaysia after this (such as Nasi Lemak), and I really enjoyed it!
It's not Middle Eastern or Arabic, but it's Singaporean Malay, just like when you see Malays in Indonesia, Brunei, South Thailand, South Philippines and Malaysia.
Makes sense, it's kind of misleading for them to call it the Arab quarters I think
@@WanderlustWellman Malay people in Southeast Asia are Muslim so writing the Arabic alphabet is natural to use so people think it is an Arab customary area but know that the native people of Singapore are Malays, not Chinese or Indians because they were only immigrants before Singapore became a country.
Those stupid "Supertrees"
Only in Singapore do they think a man-made tree is better than the real thing.
I think the Supertrees are really cool! I just think of them as being a different thing than real trees, but they are really beautiful, creative, and environmentally friendly
The supertrees r an ecosystem like a real tree. It might save us one day when d heat, storms n wildfires have killed off d natural trees. We will persevere in learning how to make it efficient.
I watch vlogs to find nice open minded ppl. Young Americans especially, r a nice antidote to their govt n established media 😜 don't care if they r handsome or pretty! Decent human beings, able to give n take. Meeting of minds. In short supply worldwide so very welcome!
That's a good point, the supertrees are environmentally friendly. Happy to hear you appreciate my perspective as a traveling American! Hahaha@@maocat6606
