My husband and I are Canadians and have had the absolute pleasure and privilege of living in Singapore for the past 15 years. It is a beautiful city with a mix of modern and traditional, offering an exceptional quality of life. Yes, it can be expensive, but a lot depends on one's lifestyle choices. I love that Singapore is a clean, safe, and vibrant city and that everything is efficient and convenient. The city/state runs like a well-oiled machine! The thing that I appreciate the most about Singapore is its strict rule of law. Yes, I am in favour of all the rules! These rules are why Singapore is one of the safest cities in the world and continues to attract foreign talent, investment and capital. The strict rule of law has created a cohesive society where there is a lot of trust, be it in the government /politicians, institutions and people. Trust is the foundation of any successful nation, and in this day and age, it is sadly lacking in other countries. While things are declining in many parts of the world, I see Singapore continuing to thrive and enjoy economic, political and social stability. Majulah Singapura (Onward Singapore)!
that's great! Now that you mention it, I remember there's always ramps around public area. I know right... now near Nov-Dec it's not as hot- BUT it rains almost daily hahah

I'll be visiting Singapore for the first time soon and your very well made video gave me so much helpful tips to guide my itinerary and packing list. Thank you!
I am Singaporean and love how you address all the lovely places travellers can visit while in SG. These are places that we Singaporean enjoy visiting too, including lounging around at Changi airport, reading and bringing our children to our many public libraries found in accessible malls in our neighbourhood, walking/cycling along the East Coast beach, taking walks using park connectors developed by NEA, we have public swimming pools and sport centres found in every neighbourhood, we enjoy spending time at Sentosa beaches but packed our own lunches and drinks if we are on a budget. Theres plenty of nature to explore, hiking at Bt Timah hill and do the Tree top walk. People who say theres nothing to do here, really have not done research about Singapore.
Agree! Check out Changi Airport viewing gallery too, there's a playground with a full length glass window facing the tarmac, children can watch planes landing and leaving.

that is very helpful, I have travel plans to SG in Oct with my mom. how's the weather in Oct (end of the month). video suggestions: best shopping places? best hawker, best meals
from the top of my head: Oct will be normal hot sunny on most days with moderate some chance of rain best shopping: for all kinds of stuff-Vivocity , for luxury products: MBS/Jewel. If going Jewel, best itinerary is to leave it for the last day where you can early check in and enjoy roaming around Jewel. best hawker: quite a few good ones, for the sake of short ans the recent ones i visited: Alexandra hawker, Bedok85, Maxwell. some hawker centers are average but has 1/2 good stores worth visiting thanks for the suggestions :) I will work out how to package these into a helpful video

I will have a 8 hours layover in Singapore in August. Your video is the best video I've watched about Singapore so far!❤ I am making a plan how to spend 8 hours there efficiently. I plan to take MRT to Raffles Place station and visiting Merlion and then China Town. Do you think it is enough time to visit both these areas? Because I need finish all these areas within 2 hours to turn airport early. Do you have any suggestion for me? Thank you so much for the video 🙏🏻😍
Thank you for your kind words! I think it's sufficient to have a meaningful visit. the Merlion is a quick visit and there are plenty of transport options from Merlion to Chinatown. When going to Merlion from Raffles Place MRT, the quickest way is to cross the overhead bridge-mall called the OUE link. So you can check the MRT local map and look out for the exit nearest to the OUE link. Chinatown is a great option because you can just walk around and explore. Definitely check out the Maxwell food center mentioned in the video to try out the local food.
Hi, I'll be visiting SG next Month for cruise trip and we have 2 days free in SG before and after trip. I s there any recommendation for real kaya toast or local SG breakfast and affordable chili crab ( i know it was expensive but at least the not really expensive one) i go with my parents which is not young anymore so i think we mostly moving around using grab. Thank You
Heya, Kaya toast from Yakun chains are quite consistent, i frequent them biweekly. AFFORDABLE chili crab is hard to find because crab is a luxury here. The neighbourhood coffee shops are usually cheaper but they are not consistent. I heard that RED HOUSE SEAFOOD is reasonable and good quality, they have a few chain you could pick one that's not too far ^^ ENJOY!!
Great content! Is Singapore quiet on weeknights or is there still a good atmosphere and a fair amount of people out? Im travelling in March and don't want to go when its super crowded on weekends, but fear the weekdays may be too quiet!
the MBS light show (Spectra) is everyday. About the esplanade lights im not so sure. I found some brochures online but i could not find an "everyday" event
Hi your vedio is very immresive. Thanks for valuable info. We're 2adults+1kid(5year's) travelling for 12days. Which travel card(STP/EZlink) do u suggest and how many cards do u suggest here?
Thank you for your kind words! I recommend using your existing credit card for the adults. For children he/she might qualify for a child pass if below 0.9m. Go to a ticketing office with passport to get it
Hii am new here, am planing to go to Singapore, I would like to know if I can go and visit the jewel if am not traveling. I want to take a hole day to move around the jewel in airport.
Could u tell me the best way to get to that places? I mean which one is cheaper : by buying Singapore cards of just buy eazylink card and just put some credit on it?
using your credit card is the cheapest & fastest if dont have suitable credit card, buy ezlink card. avoid singapore tourist card UNLESS you already plan to use its benefits
@@dashingheightsthanks voor the information! The important thing is that we must avoid Singapore Tourism counter at the airport because they push you to buy Singapore city card. I’m still remember that they tried their best to push me to buy that expensive card and unfortunately I bought that! 😪
Hi hi i have another video for public transport that will answer your qs and more: Beginner's Guide to Public Transportation in Singapore th-cam.com/video/flgV3FQrOCk/w-d-xo.html
my husband and i will go to singapore this coming dec 4 ... and its our first time , i wanted to go to the city is it expensive to get a grab taxi than bus or train ? 😢 im afraid because its my first time traveling abroad 🙏
it's expensive if you take taxi/grab I recommend taking the bus/train to most places, they're super easy to use and navigate :) I have a basic guide here: th-cam.com/video/flgV3FQrOCk/w-d-xo.html
It is raining in December 😂. Where are you located? It depends on where you are living. Some people think Singapore is a great place, and others may think it is an average place!
Hi, hope you’re going well I found this video extremely useful and informative as it’s hard to find someone giving complete info about a place that is new to some people, this really helped as I’m going to Singapore soon. I would be beyond grateful if you would answer my questions, so I heard that the best way for transportation in sg is the public buses and the mrt but just am white confused about what passes should be brought from where and how many does every person in the family needs their own card and does one type of card work for all public transport. Please help 💕
hi there, im happy this helped you! the short answer: personally i don't recommend getting any passes, the simplest most economical way to pay for public transport is to use your existing credit card (visa/master && contactless enabled) OR get the ez-link cash-card the long answer: there is a "SG Tourist Pass" , but it's only worth buying if you are planning to benefit from the discounts in select attractions. Otherwise, it's not worth the cost.
Thank you!! For Floral Fantasy, If you really like flowers it will be fun for at least 30 mins for Floral Fantasy, if just taking a quick look, 15 mins is enough. Cloud Forest minimally 45 mins. There are "museum"-ish exhibition about human exploitation on nature + a related documentary that plays continuously that might capture another 20 mins of your time if you're interested in that topic. Personally i feel that it's a great introduction to the topic especially for children, it has lots of visual elements.
In order to obtain Singaporean citizenship, do I have to give up any method of applying for citizenship (marriage, 10-year residency, investment) of my original citizenship??
Singapore citizens can only have 1 citizenship. You can stay married but you'll need to give up your original citizenship. Each country has different rules about renouncing citizenship. For example in Indonesia, upon renouncing one has to sell off any Indonesian properties.

Singapore is a fine country
hahahah "FINE" and FINEE
Hi, I'll be visiting SG next Month for cruise trip and we have 2 days free in SG before and after trip. I s there any recommendation for real kaya toast or local SG breakfast and affordable chili crab ( i know it was expensive but at least the not really expensive one) i go with my parents which is not young anymore so i think we mostly moving around using grab. Thank You
Heya,
Kaya toast from Yakun chains are quite consistent, i frequent them biweekly.
AFFORDABLE chili crab is hard to find because crab is a luxury here. The neighbourhood coffee shops are usually cheaper but they are not consistent. I heard that RED HOUSE SEAFOOD is reasonable and good quality, they have a few chain you could pick one that's not too far ^^
ENJOY!!
Amazing itinerary!! Now i know exactly where to bring my non-local friends when they visit 🤗🤭
That’s great!! U have many friends ;)
Great content! Is Singapore quiet on weeknights or is there still a good atmosphere and a fair amount of people out? Im travelling in March and don't want to go when its super crowded on weekends, but fear the weekdays may be too quiet!
weekends are very crowded at most popular places. Weekdays are not too dead. Personally i prefer weekdays because the crowds are more manageable!
is the light show on the esplanade everyday?
the MBS light show (Spectra) is everyday. About the esplanade lights im not so sure. I found some brochures online but i could not find an "everyday" event
很棒的介紹 謝謝你
Does Hawker Centres have vegetarian option?
Ive seen vegetarian option before, but it’s not guaranteed
Hi your vedio is very immresive. Thanks for valuable info.
We're 2adults+1kid(5year's) travelling for 12days.
Which travel card(STP/EZlink) do u suggest and how many cards do u suggest here?
Thank you for your kind words! I recommend using your existing credit card for the adults. For children he/she might qualify for a child pass if below 0.9m. Go to a ticketing office with passport to get it
I dont recommend STP unless you’re planning to use the discounts that come with it. For transportation alone STP is not the most worthwhile option
Hii am new here, am planing to go to Singapore, I would like to know if I can go and visit the jewel if am not traveling. I want to take a hole day to move around the jewel in airport.
Hello welcome! Yep can, the Jewel is in the public area.
GREAT video!
Thank you!!
Really helpful video. Great one 🤩
Thanks for the kind comment!
What is the mall name again or did you miss stating it in the video?
The mall with the water light show is Marina Bay Sands :)
This is such a good video!
thank you for your kind words!
8:36 I can hear Filipino's in the background
ou hahahah yes it's a very popular destination for Filipino tourists
I love stumbling upon art murals❤ Is the shake shack burger any good?
Me too! What a pleasant view.
Shake shack is not really my go-to. It’s quite greasy for my liking. I don’t hate it but wont recommend as a “SG Food”
1 day itinerary of Singapore city highlights settled! Thanks for helping to save time on planning and searching for hot spots.☺️
Glad to help ;)
Could u tell me the best way to get to that places? I mean which one is cheaper : by buying Singapore cards of just buy eazylink card and just put some credit on it?
using your credit card is the cheapest & fastest
if dont have suitable credit card, buy ezlink card.
avoid singapore tourist card UNLESS you already plan to use its benefits
@@dashingheightsthanks voor the information! The important thing is that we must avoid Singapore Tourism counter at the airport because they push you to buy Singapore city card. I’m still remember that they tried their best to push me to buy that expensive card and unfortunately I bought that! 😪
@@yanir6780 ohhh i did not know they do that. I guess it makes sense for them to sell their own product...
8 more days for me to go to singapore! Im so exited!
Yay! Have a fruitful trip! :)
Finally travelling to Singapore on August 25th this year. Wanted to travel there in 2019 but yeah, Covid cancelled my plans :(
yay! have fun and have a fruitful visit :)
Is it good to go at night in chinatown & kampong glam? Thank you! 😊
Chinatown is good before 9pm
Kampong glam not so good at night because it will be dark, cannot see the nice murals and the buildings
You should have way more followers! This was great!
Thank you! I'm working on it ;)
Thank you for the detailed Singapore Itinerary tips & tricks. Going there on September. Hope to meet you as well.
Welcome! I'm happy to help :) come say hi if you see me filming on the street! I usually wear the same shirt heheh

Ur so cute pleasing personality ,smiling face❤bravoh god bless u❤
aw thank you for your kind words!
All in 1 day? Wow good recommendations!
Yes fun long day, they are all in sequence ;)
This is a typical touristy route. There are non touristy places to visit too.
@@RonLarhz yep in this video the points of interest are actually quite common! I have another upcoming video thats abit more ulu hahah
my husband and i will go to singapore this coming dec 4 ... and its our first time , i wanted to go to the city is it expensive to get a grab taxi than bus or train ? 😢 im afraid because its my first time traveling abroad 🙏
it's expensive if you take taxi/grab
I recommend taking the bus/train to most places, they're super easy to use and navigate :)
I have a basic guide here: th-cam.com/video/flgV3FQrOCk/w-d-xo.html
@@dashingheights thank you so much for the recommendation , hopefully we will enjoy the singapore tour this coming dec 🥰🥰🥰
It is raining in December 😂. Where are you located?
It depends on where you are living. Some people think Singapore is a great place, and others may think it is an average place!
처음부터 야쿤토스트,,,, 내 최애 야쿤토스트,,, 하루종일 먹어도 좋아 ㅠㅠㅠ 싱가폴 다시 가고 싶다 ㅠ
heheh come back again soon!
Please help 💕
hi there, im happy this helped you!
the short answer:
personally i don't recommend getting any passes, the simplest most economical way to pay for public transport is to use your existing credit card (visa/master && contactless enabled)
OR
get the ez-link cash-card
the long answer:
there is a "SG Tourist Pass" , but it's only worth buying if you are planning to benefit from the discounts in select attractions. Otherwise, it's not worth the cost.
@@dashingheights thank you so much for your help!
Amazing! How many do I need to allot to walk around Cloud Forest and Floral Fantasy?
@@dashingheights thanks for the swift response 👍

The themed stuff varies. There was an avatar theme previously.
I wonder if 2 days is enough
ahhh definitely not, but if you do the itinerary in this video you'll at least get a good taster
When and what is ur next vid about and have a nice day ❤
Im thinking of covering what are the normal things in singapore that i observed is not very normal in other countries! I’ll try to post it next week 😄
Pwede na recta visa card i tap sa mga bus and trains?
As long as you have the contactless && Visa/Mastercard you can use it :)
What place is best to go at night with kids?
The first thing that came to my mind is Night Safari, i have a video about that you can check it out :)
What's the camera model you use for shooting and the rig?
Most shots are on sony 20mm f1.8 lens, with a7IV body
Handheld on a mini octotripod
