- The ES nameplate has been one of the more reliable vehicles out there especially for the used marketplace. It makes a great used vehicle to purchase in most cases after thorough venting by a mechanic.
The ES350 featured is a 2016 ES 350. The model year featured was produced: 2013 to 2018.
In this review of the 2016 Lexus ES 350, I'll show you'll the vehicle with a full walk around, engine, trunk, and 4 doors plus give my opinion on the pros and cons. I'll point out the special features offered on the vehicle.

I'm 35 and I own one in this color well equipped. I love the luxury of mine. I've owned rear wheel drive sport luxury cars in the past, and purchased this car because I needed something larger, especially rear seat space because I'm tall and got tired of adjusting my seat with rear passengers. This car is affordable, reliable, smooth and luxurious. I bought a Lexus because my wife had one before me and I was so impressed with their product and their high level of customer service. You need a loaner for service or repairs-no problem. You can't beat Lexus no day.
My wife loved this car but we had sold it since we replaced it with a RX given our minivan was getting there in the mileage.
Yes, very smooth, reliable, luxurious and great on power.
Funtact when reading about this car since I just got a 2018 I read its got self healing clearcoat! I think that is awesome! I believe all trims 2016 and up. 💯
Thanks for sharing. This sedan had awesome power and a smooth ride. Wife loved it.
waiting for the lexus es 2022 so I can buy the 2019.
Me too! I’m looking at 300H 2019
I have a 2017 and want a CPO 2022 in a few years...mine is atomic silver with tan interior.
Am looking to buy one in the next couple of months. Took two on test rides today, and do prefer the 206 to the 2014. Thanks for this review and I subbed!
2016….darned auto correction!
Have you driven a 2019? The journalists say it was a big improvement. I haven't heard anyone else comment on it.
I have a 2018 es350 but I'm not sure what all the difference is between it an 2019. I know it's known as a New series. Mine being a 6 series this one too. The 2019 started the 7 series.
2013-2015 Assembled in Japan and are superior fit and finish compared to the Kentucky assembled in 2016. Not to mention the 2014 is quicker 0-60 as well and doesn't have the monstrosity spindle grill.
Got a 2016 Black on peanut butter Premium package video coming soon
How much better is the 2019 model? I'm in the used market. The 2019 is about $10,000 more. Is it worth it? Is a GS better?
First test drive all. The Es are fwd cars and gs are rwd/awd. The size of the gs is around the Camry. Es size is around Avalon. Es is a softer ride compared to a firmer ride if a gs esp f sport models. Gs is more luxurious than es unless you get the ultra luxury package. Personally if you go es, 2019 will have a better infotainment with better maps.
Would you say the listed mpg is pretty accurate ?
The mpg isn't really that close in our case but we mostly do city driving.
Mine gets 18 on a good day!
@@mashhurolimjonov8138 18mpg?? its listed at 26 lol
Was this '16 model still being manufactured in JAPAN as the first year 2013 was ?!? Or did Toyota move assembly over to their U.S. facility ? BTW - does the '16 version still use a timing CHAIN or did they switch to a rubber belt ?!? 🚘🔍. 🇯🇵 or 🇺🇸. Many Thanks Yo !
2016 were made in Georgetown, Kentucky and timing chain not belts. Not sure if some model were made in Japan.
My 16 was made in Japan.
They were made in Japan until 2015. After that they moved to Kentucky but the Hybrid ES models are still made in Japan.
@@fmnunes2803 Hybrid?
@@MSG685 Not hybrid.
What are prices on these 2016 or 2017 like?
Depends on your zip code. carfax.com look under used vehicles to gauge what your zip code like.
@@netman88 Thanks!
22-23k
Fwd only?
Yes for that model year
@netman88 I wonder why Lexus decided to go with Fwd only? I'm looking at a is250 with Rwd.
it seems like every review I see of these newer cars includes a very dusty interior. Is it a materials used problem or are today's car owners too lazy to properly clean their cars? ?????
It's probably a vehicle that sat on lot for a long time so it didn't get cleaned. The vehicles only gets detailed after it's sold.
I always think the same. Maybe they do the reviews when the cars first comes in..
I keep the inside of my ES spotlessly clean...I have parchment with brown wood.
Fake leather from fake cows 🐂
Fake leather?
Unless you get the luxury package, it's invitation leather. Marketing term is Nuluxe Leather.
If it wears better than the real stuff, and feels buttery like leather, who cares? Real leather is high maintenance.
