Hello Steven, thank you for sharing your 2016 Lexus ES, VERY GOOD CAR with great reliable stability and I agree with everything you have mentioned in your video. I too have a 2016 Lexus ES and I am approaching 290,000 miles on mine. I conduct a real estate and Mortgage Enterprise which requires me to drive a lot. This ES has never failed me and I agree with you 100.000% on the build quality, no creeks no rattles; just a well put together vehicle. I've had to get both my front axles replaced however that was more regarding road conditions than the car. If you're looking for a good decent reliable vehicle that provides a luxurious ride I definitely recommend the 2016 Lexus ES.
U say 2016 like it is a long time ago...lol. Lexus set the standard back then and still today. Only cars that ride as good as Lexus ES/LS to me, are the S class Benz or the Genesis G90.
I have a 2013 es350 Ultra Lux in Matador red with 130k miles on it. I almost traded it for an A7 a few years ago but I’m glad I didn’t. I’ve been all over with this car. From Virginia to California and back. I still get asked how new my car is lol.
i had 2014 ES350 and it's still like new and perfect and best car i drive so far , if you guys paying yearly on your car between 400$ to 1000$ you will never going to buy new car unless you need to change it , but so far my ES350 it's perfect looking more better than 2024 cars from inside !
if you don't mind me asking, how tall are you and how do you fit in your Lexus? I am unfortunately rather tall (6 foot 5) but I am really interested in purchasing the 2017 es 350. In your opinion, do you think that I would be able to fit comfortably in one?
ive had the 2013 es 350 handed down to me since covid and I've loved the car ever since. for 2013 this car definitely packs a lot of neat little features that a lot of modern cars don't have. But like you said in the video I'm also getting tired of the soft quiet feeling. Thats why I plan on changing out things on the car. I plan on getting bigger wheels and a lowering the car and making the suspeion more stiff to make it feel more planted and feel better around corners! Bummer but im also paying to get your bumper on mine since yours is the facelifted version (being mine is the 2013 model). But back to the point, this car has served my father and down to me for 115000 miles and still no issues at all!
Don't know about the 2016 but the 2018 ES350 has double pane windows at the front. You can tell that road noise is a lot less at the front than the back. Unfortunately my 2018 ES A/C leaked refrigerant during the warranty period. The dealership topped up refrigerant and put in dye as well but neglected to tell me to return for further inspection. Recently, after the warranty had expired, the A/C again needed refrigerant. One month after new refrigerant was added, it was longer cold. Hate it that the dealership failed to properly fix the problem during the warranty. Other than that, the car did not have a single problem after 36,000 km.
That model and the GS 350, are two very well built vehicles. Legendary reliability. I bought a 2015 GS 350 with 187k miles and it still drives like a new car. Simply amazing machine. It looks like a $30k car, but way more affordable than that. I paid $13k for my GS 350. A fraction of what it was worth brand new. I would never buy it new though. I just can't afford it.
****I have a 2007 lexus es350. I am at 103k miles now, still drives great. Did 100k DIY maintenance, new water pump, new thermostat, new 120k Iridium spark plugs, new toyota pink coolant fluid, new plenum gaskets and cleaned throttle body.
I have a 2020 Toyota Avalon Limited hybrid and the fit and finish, road noise, build quality, comfort compared to 2017 ES350 is night and day. 2020 Avalon feels like a tin can with super uncomfortable seats and head restraints. The interior of Avalon is super cheap, thin and flimsy plastics, gaps in interior pieces, wind noise is bad, rear doors squeak when opening because the outside window door belt moldings flex on the piano black corner trim. I have had the 2020 Avalon Limited for 11 days now and I am super disappointed with it, I am trading it in to 2017 ES350. Test drove the ES and its a solid tank of a car with silent cabin and superb fit and finish on the outside and inside.
50k miles is barely any miles there's barely any issues with a civic/camry until 150-200k miles...this Lexus is pretty nice i like the red paint/grey leather seats
Hey there, thanks for watching! Theoretically it’s supposed to increase your fuel economy, but from my experience, it just makes the driving experience unpleasant (very slow, feels like a Prius), and it didn’t really change my fuel economy noticeably.
Hey Steven, I’m in the market for a car and this Lexus caught my attention. I’m looking to buy a 2016 with 49,000 miles on it and I was wondering is that a bad buy used in your opinion? It’s going for 22,000.00 btw. P.S what new vehicle did you end up with? Thanks and subbed
Thanks for the kind words Roc! That’s almost exactly how many miles mine had when I sold it, and mine was about 22.5k in good condition, so I think 22k is a fair deal! Thanks for subbing, my new car is a secret until I post the video on it in a few weeks :)
9:05 Just some food for thought, this is why you must be careful buying a used Lexus. This owner since new has never had his vehicle taken to the dealership or service to be inspected. The car is working out great fir him but next buyer beware. Lexus/Toyota owners thinks they don't need to service their cars because its a Toyota. Reality is by 50,000 he should have had brakes, fluids, suspension, everything should have been inspected. A barely maintained Toyota/Lexus will last 100,000 with little to no maintenance. But beyond that if you neglect the car just because "it's a Toyota" it will have a life cut much shorted than it could potentially be. These cars are very capable of hitting that 300,000 mile mark but to do that requires proper tender Love and Care. Obviously this guy isn't worried about maintaining his car because he's going to sell it, this comment is more geared towards used Toyota/Lexus buyers.
Hey thanks for watching! Just to clarify, I did still take the car in for maintenance at the required intervals :) what I meant in the video is that I never had to take it into the shop for an unexpected repair, engine issue, etc.
Good question! When I was first in the market for a new car, I was debating between the ES and GS for a while, and I ultimately stuck with the ES since it was a bit cheaper. The GS generally feels a bit more agile and sporty, whereas the ES feels more like a boat (which at the time was what I wanted). Keep in mind that older ES 350s also weren’t available with AWD, whereas the GS was!
Was the '16 model still manufactured in Japan ?!? Our FIRST year '13 ES 350 was built in Japan which according to Scotty Kilmer is far superior assembly quality. BTW - what were you able to receive on trade-In or private sale after seven years of ownership ?!? 💱. 🚘. 🤔
If you think 50,000 miles is a good marker for reliability, your bar is extremely low. If cars have issues within the first 100,000 let alone 50,000 miles, that is sad and PATHETIC, considering the price tag we pay!

I have a 2017 ES which is practically the same car..it has been a flawless vehicle; I'm lovin' it!! Just turned over 50 M..still like new.
I just bought a 2016 ES 350 with 16000 miles on it. Looks like a new car. I've driving Lexus forcthe past 20 years. No regrets.
I bought a 2015 GS 350 with 187k miles and the interior is immaculate. All black. I love it. It drives like a new car.
I got a 2016 es 350 with 44k miles. I’ve had it for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it. Great car.
U say 2016 like it is a long time ago...lol. Lexus set the standard back then and still today. Only cars that ride as good as Lexus ES/LS to me, are the S class Benz or the Genesis G90.
Excellent, thanks
I have a 2013 es350 Ultra Lux in Matador red with 130k miles on it. I almost traded it for an A7 a few years ago but I’m glad I didn’t. I’ve been all over with this car. From Virginia to California and back. I still get asked how new my car is lol.
Lexus did a great job with the design language of the ES! The matador red is also a beautiful color. Thanks for watching!
@@StevensCarReviewsyou took it to the Lexus Dealership every 5,000 miles? So like every 6 months to a year? DAIM that must have been expensive 😂
Only thing I hate is it doesn’t have brake hold
This was a great video! Thanks a lot. A review I can actually understand and you’re not just trying to sell yours. Makes me happier about my purchase

Glad you enjoyed it! :) Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks for the kind words Debbie! ☺️
Been looking at the es and gs... i think you've convinced me to go for the es.... appreciate the review
Always ES 350 is better.

Awesome review! You really helped me with my research regarding this vehicle.
Nice review, a quality vehicle that aged well. Agreed a sunglasses holder should be a given on all vehicles almost like a cupholder.
Thanks for the kind words! I agree :)
Reliability, reliability and reliability. Comfort, comfort and comfort.

This is a great review, I really appreciate your insight. In your opinion how much should this car be priced to buy in 2023?
Thanks for the kind words! That’s a tough one - I would say somewhere in the low 20ks would be about right for this car, depending on its condition.

I like the review on older cars
Very interesting review thanks 👍
I was surprised to see this video as this is my exact car in atomic silver color. I’m on the market now for NX 350h premium 2022.
Thanks for watching! It’s a great car :) Good luck getting the NX!
Great review 🤙I got used 2014 Lexus Es350 last week and man I love it. I like the older look better not a fan of the huge grills
Thanks for watching! I miss this car :)
Just stop lol
I m not a fan if those huge grills either.
Me too
The huge grills looks ugly that’s why I’m getting the 2015

Looks nice for a lower optioned/trim ES
I'm looking at a 2016 with 29,000 miles. The dealer wants 25,800. Does that sound like a good deal? Iwas thinking it is with such low miles.
Close, 23k
Lexus makes the best cars!
I have a 2015 Lexus ES 350 running strong at 180K miles, no issues. Bonus: Mines was made in Japan. Was your 2016 ES made in Japan as well or USA?
GREAT REVIEW
Thanks Michael! :)
Been looking at one of these , one question I have is ? On Eco mode does that make fuel economy higher? Thanks .

Nice job. Is the 16 a better car than the 15.
They’re pretty much the exact same since the generation started in 2015!
What about the smart toys/features??? Is Apple CarPlay an option or something…I see the cord!??? Thx
Unfortunately the 2016 model didn’t have apple CarPlay :( I just used a USB to play audio!

Since lexus did away with the app for remote start does anyone know a alternative to using the remote start now?
Did you have extend warranty purchased on your lexus?
