Love my 2016. Just paid it off August and I'm strongly considering a upgrade to the new refresh 2019 or 2020. But for the 2013 to 2018 the engine loves Castol Edge Full Synthetic 0W/20. Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrac tires and the ride is buttery smooth, and I have the upgraded 18 inch wheels and the ride is still super smooth on the road
You have an amazing car! I love the 2016 models as well with the bigger grill. Beautiful looking and very smooth driving car! I think either way you can't go wrong. If you keep your current car or upgrade it to the newer model. Both are amazing vehicles!
Great video man! I like this ES model a lot, after sitting in one it feels like you’re in a spaceship even tho it’s not even the highest the LS! Obviously some downsides like no touch screen but other than that, the car is solid💯
The only reason I got a 2015 Lexus GS 350 over an LS is that I found a GS 350 first. I really like it. It has 187k miles, but it still drives like a new car. I just made sure to inspect its properly and it had a good maintenance record. Even if it's a Lexus, you still have to get it inspected and make sure it was taken care of by the previous owner or owners. Lexus vehicles are simply amazing 👍. Good review. Subscribed
One of the best cars you can get for the unbeatable price! Will definitely consider looking into this car for my next car! Good video! Hope you make more car reviews! Keep up the good work 👍
My gripes: • I have a 2015 and weigh 155 pounds. The driver seat back is hard, not cushy like I expected. • Infotainment/navigation is slow and annoying, including the robotic voice of the A.I. which responds to commands. Lexus navigation map hasn't been updated since 2018, it's now cloud based, so navigation is literally useless. Plus, it costs $250 to update to the 2018 map. • Crazily, there is no A/C button. You have to make 3 or 4 moves with the joystick to turn it on or off. • AM sounds like a transistor radio. It sounds old-fashioned, weak, and far away, even though they're local stations. AM in my basic 2004 and 2014 vehicles sound clear like FM stations, but not the ES for some reason. • Post 2015 model steering wheels look like a nice improvement on button placement vs the 2015. 2015 toggles are diagonal from one another, so I need to look down to ensure I'm manipulating the correct buttons. • I expected noticeable wind and road noise reduction from my other vehicles, but I don't. I bought it private party in 2023 with
Bought one on carvana today can’t wait for it to be delivered! Grew up riding in my grandparents hand me down Cadillacs: when my father brought home the LS 430 that was the last Cadillac we ever drove
Didn’t they facelift it for 2017 year? I had a 17 and now I have a 21… let me tell you,if you think the previous ES models were great bang for your buck the new gen takes it a step higher and I don’t even got the facelift nor the F sport which is another plus for the ES line. The 300 ponies livens up the car and it handles much better then the 17 did. It got shift paddles behind the steering wheel even on the base model, great seats and seat design on the base and LC seats if you get the F sport but you get LC mirrors on base model. Also now thank god fully adaptive cruise control that doesn’t turn off below 30 mph like the previous gen… the new one is so good with cruise control and much better as lane keeping ability but still atrocious compared to other cars. The new ES does have a higher msrp, mine was $45k almost with no navigation while 17 was about 41-42k with navigation. I had the heated stearing wheel on the 17 but with the wood options the only heat was on the sides of wheel and you can barely feel it because I usually drive gripping at 12 o’clock on the top wood part. Also the new ES models I think no longer come with wood steering wheels or maybe it’s an option.
Good reviews and commented about buying used luxury car. For me! I always look for luxury cars only, driving smooth strong, reliable ect.....repairs same as Toyota
Best deal in the market for used sedan. The used ES350 is slightly more expensive than Honda civic, Toyota Camry but with much equipment and reliability!
A basic 2015 4-cyclinder Civic has 143 horsepower. The ES350 V6 has 268 horsepower. On the down side, the cost of fuel, parts, and maintainence is much higher with the Lexus.
Yes 100k miles is considered low for these cars as this engine is super reliable and easily lasts over 250k miles. Just make sure the car that you're looking to buy has been well maintained and the engine and everything is in good condition and it drives well. And it will be a good and reliable buy.
I understand that it is extremely expensive to repair an oil leak from the timing chain cover on this generation of Lexus/Toyota V6 engines. Can you comment?
New subscriber here. Really fantastic video and channel. I was wondering, what mileage is the sweet spot for the 2014/2015 year es 350? I see 20-30k mileage ones going for ~$30,000, would that be high?
Thanks so much for the kind words! $30,000 is a tad overpriced to be honest for a 2014/2015 model with about 20k-30k miles. But that's pretty normal in the very high car market right now. If you wanted to save a couple thousand dollars and don't mind slightly higher mileage (around 55k-65k) then that would also be a great option. And would be the sweet spot and best value in my opinion. I see many 2014-2015 models with about 65k going for about $22k-$25k which would be a great buy! As the engine which this lexus uses has proven to be extremely reliable, and lasts around 250k or more miles without a problem if properly maintained. So 65k is considered low mileage on these. Personally that's what I would do if I were to get one right now. I'd save the couple thousand and get one with around 65k miles as these last forever.
I bought my 2015 at 85k miles for $17,500. The fair market price is about $19,500, so I got a great deal. I would say a fair price for a 2015 ES 350 with 30k miles should be around $25,000. I would highly recommend getting one under 100k miles, expecting it will last for 250k+ with regular maintainence. The only thing I don't like about this car is the low gas mileage. I get a tad under 20 mpg on Sport mode. Having said that, the V6 engine give you plenty of power and acceleration driving up hills and merging onto the freeway.
So right now I have a 2004 LS430 at 130k miles, and I'm looking to potentially swap it for a 2013 ES350 that's at 45k miles I found for $12K it had frame damage in the front, but was completely repaired. Would this change be worth it? Both are pretty much the base models of their respective models.
I drive a 2017 that I bought with 25M miles..has been a great car!!😊😊

Very good review from you, Sir. Thank you very much!
Thank you!
That is a sweet looking Lexus you definitely cannot go wrong with Lexus and the reliability great car and great video
I got a 2017 es300h for 28k and I couldn't be happier.
You got a really good deal! $28k for a 2017 es300h is a great price. Especially with the super high prices on cars nowadays.

Great review man! I love this generation ES it’s my favourite shame it never came to my country but good we’ve got the new one back again
Thanks man! Same this is my favorite ES, the new one is very nice too!

I think the remote start is standard. Push lock button 2x then hold lock button for 3 secs.
one thing i hate is when the sunroof seal gets old you hear clunking when the chassis flexes going over uneven terrain cheap fix but still pain in ass

It's a beautiful and reliable car but it is front wheel drive. If you enjoy a rear wheel drive more Then I would recommend getting a used Gs 350

What mileage does it start needing lots of repairs?
1,000,000 😂
Nice. I live in chicago
I'm trying to find a used one with milage under 65k.
Try Carvana.
I have 2012 avalon limited with pretty much same features with a touch screen. They call it a poor man`s lexus .
This is a good sedan, I also think Nissan Maxima & Ford Taurus are good luxury sedans too, especially if you can find one with massage seats.
I agree!
I test drove a Maxima before I got my 2013 ES350. Didn't go with the Maxima due to sunroof leaks being a common issue.
Nissan and Ford 🤔 no way! You must be asleep behind the wheel 😂 but everyone has his own opinion.
