You guys have always been so helpful with instruction and encouragement for so many people. Sharing that even someone as talented as you can struggle with new things is a little reassuring. Thank you for sharing. Also just rephrase the results and announce you finished in the top ten.
what a nice analyis.. I really apreciated it ... learned a lot .. for my winging ... cleared several points I always wondered about.... And about racing ..I feel the same for wing races .. you learn so much .. even beeing the last
Being able to understand the bumps is crucial for start and making a good comfortable run. Timming is everything and waiting for the right slow and steep bump helps saving energy for the run. Board length and width can make it significantly easier
thanks for sharing! yesterday i did my first ever downwind sup foil run here in the cayman islands and i had a very similar conditions. Fast moving swell and wind blowing sideways to the waves. I struggled to pop up in the beginning and when I did i couldn't stay up for more than a couple minutes. I was also on a big slow foil which i could pop up pretty easily towards the end of the run after i figured out the timing and balance but i kept coming off the back of the bumps. It was a great learning experience though
Such an humble and honest recap! Very informative thanks!
Thank you!
If you’re not struggling, you’re not learning. Great to hear about the adventure.
Right!!

Nice review Gwen!
Hi
Gould tell periode and size of swell you got during that race?
great tips... im starting... and ill be starting in the ocean... did you still use the 75cm mast?
Yes 75cm is great, 85cm makes the take off harder
If gwen got 10/12 the rest of us normal people stood no chance
Judging by past performance, you'll be at the front of the pack by season's end.
Va falloir revenir 😂
